My heart skipped a beat when I heard that title. Psychonauts is one of the first games to really define for me what can be done with this medium on an artistic level. It was bizarre, funny, creative, and had just the right amount of dark intrigue hidden beneath it all to keep me guessing about what would happen next. I loved the characters, and I've been waiting for years to see their story continue. It would be a tall order to expect this game to live up to the original, but I want to give Double Fine the chance to try.

After that he discovers his psychic powers, starts to read his father's mind. At first it's kinda touching innocent. His Father remembering his Mom in an angelic form.. Then his mind drifted to a different memory..
Indeed, it's one of my favourite games with one of the best premises that I've ever seen in digital media.
This trailer was perfect, once the sheep line came up, I was like "wait a minute" and then he said "PSYCHONAUT" and I couldn't contain my excitement!

My tears have flow. Omg dude my childhood memories will now have a sequel. Thank you Mr. Schafer i know it was a long time coming but you have seriously made my year i cant fucking wait and i WILL crowdfund the fuck! Out of this game.
Holy crap I didn't hear about this till now, every time I've replayed psychonauts which must be nearing half a dozen times I've looked into a sequel but found nothing except failed attempts to raise money, I wish I had heard about the crowdraising I definitaly would have dropped some money. Trailer gave me goosebumps I'm so damn excited time to consume every piece of psychonauts 2 content you've released.
When he said "send in..... the psychonauts" when I first saw this live, I started crying and freaking out. Psyconauts was the first game I ever beat as a little kid, so it holds a very special place in my heart.
I seriously almost cried when I found out about this.
It has been a year since this trailer came out, and the line "send in the Psychonauts" STILL puts a giant grin on my face.
Talk about worth the wait! Congrats, played through it and it's a fantastic sequel!

Saw this just now, after I watched the recently released trailer. As much as I like the psychedelic setting of that one I felt a little disappointed from the lack of humor and context. This however is absolutely brilliant, made my night. More of this please, and bring back the Milkman and the secret agents. You can't have enough secret agents.

People have been expecting a new Crash Bandicoot game for ages, but Psychonauts 2 was always that white whale for me. It was the eternal "if I was super filthy rich, one of the first things I would do is fund this game" game.
And now it's fucking happening. How insane is that? That this weird little game from ten years ago with a quirky art style, heartfelt story and eccentric characters would be getting a full sequel in this day and age?
