- When Razputin Aquato, trained acrobat and powerful young psychic, finally realizes his dream of joining the Psychonauts... he finds not all is well with the once-renowned spy organization. Their leader is comatose and a mole lurks within the ranks. That's to say nothing of the fanatical forces working to revive Maligula, a deceased psychic murderer! It's up to Raz to train his mind and unravel a tangle of plots could very well purge the world into chaos.

so after learning his backstory, getting near the end of the first game, Im wondering if the psychic battle he mention years ago he had that cost him his mind was him battling against maligula those years ago.

I can’t believe it’s happening. I remember when my dad got the first game when it came out and he let me play it with him. I was only 6 then now I’m 22 and seeing this trailer gave me goosebumps and the fond memories as a kid again spending time with my father playing the first game together.

It's actually, legitimately an incredible feeling whenever something that's been teased and delayed for THIS long finally comes to fruition.

I've been an environment artist for realistic shooter games, when all this time I could've been working with amazing art like this instead. Today might be the day to switch. Psychonauts 2 and R&C: Rift Apart have inspired me.

Well, we’ve gone from a 2019 release date, to a 2020 release, and now we’re finally in the home stretch. One week to go as of me writing this comment. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m looking forward to playing this game on Game Pass. Thank you Double Fine for this wonderful ride!

Please Tim Schafer let this be a funding vehicle for Brutal Legend 2. My buddies and I play thru the first one every summer and it never gets old. Without a doubt our most sought after sequel in the gaming industry

There apart of Xbox game studios they don’t need to scrounge for money anymore like they did with the first half of developing this game. Xbox will fund them for future projects

These set pieces are insane. I haven't been hyped like this by a game trailer in a while. The music, animation, voice work, visuals, level design - Everything looks top-notch. Very nice work, Double Fine! I can't wait to play it.

I love those first expressions between Raz and Ford, Raz looks so excited, but ford just looks tired until he makes the line about the end. Then he just looks despondent. Its amazing how they managed that with the tone of voice and the changing of fords eyebrows. Looking so much for the game

I am...SO prepared for this! I'm just super stoked about the whole thing - and honestly wished I could've gone to camp with these people. But I was but a young adult with barely any money, so I did what I could! Happy to see this trailer for the first time tonight, and I'm looking forward to diving back into this world again.

I have so many things I want to say, but keep up the good work. I especially love the accessibility features. I always related to Raz with my autism, but sometimes it was difficult to play through the game; especially with the figments being very difficult to see and the depth perception. Now I'm even more prepared!!

The first Psychonauts was an all time classic adolescence game for me. The soundtrack was amazing, and the gameplay was phenomenally interesting. Even though I don't game anymore, I will check it out nonetheless on streams and such.
This has always been my favorite game and I remember as a child that a sequel was one of the things I wanted the most but was sad that it may never happen. This is a childhood dream come true.
The only other times I've felt this excited for a game was portal 2 and Mario odyssey, and I think this could beat those out! This is looking so far beyond anything I could've ever hoped for! I just pray this one gets ALL the love and attention it deserves!

Idk if anyone at double fine will see this, but psychonauts was the very first game I ever played on the original Xbox, when I was about 8/9 I went back to it when I was about 12 and 100% it. I’ve played through it every few years since then and just recently went back and did another 100% when I preordered 2. I wish there was a collectors edition being released as I was unaware of the Kickstarter a few years back. Otherwise I know you guys won’t disappoint and I’m so excited for this sequel 💙

Just finished the first game today. What a gem!! And im glad i did instead of watching a stroy recap. One of those games which should be experienced first hand to understand. Amazed at how such a good game was made 16yrs ago.

It's so dope to think most people will just see the trailer (or not even that), download the game because it will be on GamePass and have a raw experience, with not much prior information. It's so good to start a game that will unknowingly captivate you, and I guess Psychonauts 2 has that potencial.
