My wife and I were in Costa Rica last month. At immigration we were asked how long we were going to be staying. I said 16 days. Looking at my passport, I see that he did give me a 180-day visa. He also did ask where we were going to be staying. What he did not ask for was to see our return ticket. In fact, on my last four visits to Costa Rica I have never been asked to see my return ticket.
Is there such a thing as a student visa? If so, how long is it good for?
