Hey a sunday morning brekkie video from my favorite ozzie .. great design eventually Dan wouldnt be a Cafe Racer Garage build unless it was done at least 4 times . Always a pleasure to watch any of you vids cheers Dan
Another great vid Dan, surprised to see the Enfield in your stable. Has the Honda gone? Great design with the rack mate, should hold your swag securely. Enjoy the camping mate.
Well done! Remember, mistakes is the path towards perfection. 🙂 I think my next project will be a Yamaha XT600 or 500 or something like that. And make it into a naughty flattracker/scramblerish machine. Any thoughts on that? Cheers!
You're making them out of stainless steel, but the angle tool works on it magnetically, so, yeah then it isn't stainless steel, that doesn't magnetize or am i missing something?
@@Peter-DOC-Docter it still has enough chromium to work as a 'stainless' steel, but with more iron in the alloy. It likely wouldn't rust in normal conditions, but he painted it to match the bike, so either way it's good.
I don’t want this to come off harsh you do great vids but the $16 dollars of materials is not really the cost. How much did that tubing bender cost? How many racks will you need to build to offset that cost. Here in Canada even cheap manual benders that are capable of doing 1”tube are north of $1000 sadly.
You could put a bigger hole in your bender and then make a bush on your lathe to be the perfect fit for the oversize hole and your bolt.
Dude kills it every single time
It’s really good that you show the mistakes and re do’s , nice to know that good stuff can sometimes take a few go’s to get right

I’m getting ready to build some racks for my vintage dual sport and seeing your design gave me some great ideas. Thanks Dan.

Parabéns muito top Abraços Daniel Dmotos aqui do Brasil.
Excellent vid! I'd like to have a simple luggage rack built for my Honda '82 xl185s. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yes, rack is $16, but how much all tools involved cost?

Not all stainless steels are Austenitic
@philmenzies2477 I was thaught if it magnetizes it's gonna rust! So how does that work?

How to make a $16 rack if you own a $1000 pipe bender so not much use to the average guy
The musick is really annoying
