I finally purchased one after debating it for about a year. Once it's in there's no going back. I slipped it in and trying pulling it back out and I couldn't get it back out. But I love it. It definitely took me more than 30 mins to install especially if you don't have help which I did not. Hardest part was prying up while also trying to put in the screws. No easy for a women with short arms. But it can be done.
This is the one. Solid and you get to use the other half for your doo-dads. Installed in about 35-40 minutes after watching this awesome video. Get it already.
Very good video. I'd like to point out one more thing, if your truck has the full-floor vinyl 'mats' installed in the back seat area like Husky or Weather Tech, remember that you'll need to pull back on the thing so you can get the back of the console off. The mat rests on top of the bottom of the console back and you almost can't see it. For me it was next to impossible to spot what was keeping the console back from coming off and that was it.
Great installation video (although bordering on complicated) but the distractingly loud background music led me to believe we were all going to go surfing in the 1980s by video's end...
After following this video my console still seems to be secured somewhere. I have removed all the 7 and 10 mm bolts and the console cannot be lifted. Am I missing something here?
Why didn’t they put the safe on the passenger side of the console? Its going to be pretty hard for the driver to see anything on the right side of the console now.
@@NM2011CTSV I know it isn’t. I said why didn’t he put it on the passenger side. Now he has to lean way over to be able to find something he’s looking for in the open side.
For your information you put bottom metal panel in incorrectly which ruined the installation. Would have been nice to see correctly as I used this video as a reference when the install was incorrect the whole time. Nice video editing after the scene as no way it works without putting it in correctly.
Not this exact one. We do have an option by Tuffy that works with the 2022 Raptor though! --> www.americantrucks.com/tuffy-f150-center-console-security-insert-376-01.html
It's an antiquated editing thing. The reasoning was that no one could use a clip from your video in their video or re-edit it without there being an obvious jump in the music. I agree, it's a distracting nuisance in an already complicated process video.
So…you were doing so well … until the end. You f’d up the re-assembly of the rear panel. Definitely lowered my confidence in your workmanship quite a few notches in terms of lack of attention to details!
This is only rated to fit 2015-2020 F-150's. We do have similar options for the 2021+ F-150's though! Check this one out --> www.americantrucks.com/tuffy-f150-center-console-security-safe-376-01.html

Glad to hear you're digging it, Kenster! -Zach
How practical is it compared to just the center console?
@@imnotusingmyrealname4566 Having a secure spot in the cab is very practical.
Any subscriber of Lock Picking Lawyer knows to not call anything pick proof. He’ll find a way to open it with the seatbelt or something.
Exactly

This video is better than the instructions that came with the safe. Thank you!!!!
Thanks for watching! -Zach

That was a damn good installation video.
Ya think I can put my AR15 in there? Can never be too safe these days...😂
Only kidding, seems amazing for the price!!
Video was good untul the part where you lift the console. I have found the right place to lift is not the actual bottom of the console.
Great video..made the install a breeze. Thank you!
Thanks for watching, Scott! -Zach
Do they make that for the F250?

I like it but it seems kinda pricey. Also not sure what the anchor plates purpose is versus just bolting thru your trans tunnel.

Does the tray still fit on the open side?
Will it fit an F 250 2017 and up?
When you drill through the bottom, what are you drilling through?
The plastic base of the console.

No option for the F250 ?
Do you have these for 2022 raptor?

I don’t get the point of the music.... it is very distracting to the information 😒
