Hi Delia. At age 27 I was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical. I was newly married and my husband and I were a team going through our journey. This week is my 64th birthday. We became parents of two through the beauty of adoption and more recently grandparents. I dedicated my adult life to working in the private adoption world. I retired having been a part of hundreds of adoptions. Mental health is so important and thank you for this video. You will remain in my prayers for a full recovery. Thinking of you always.❤️

I’m a nurse and I work with cancer patients. I’ve learned so much patients. The integrity, courage, grace, and strength that many of the patients have shown is amazing. Cancer has touched our family as well I have a son-in-law who died of stage four esophageal cancer in his 30s and 18 months after he was diagnosed my daughter was diagnosed with brain tumor. Fortunately she has beat all the odds but not without struggles she’s had many surgeries and scalp revisions. It’s true once you’ve had a cancer diagnosis even if you’re “ cured” the fear never goes away. Bless you both for sharing your vulnerability and resources that can help. Therapy is not for the weak it’s for the strong 💪.

Hi Delia, I was diagnosed with breast cancer back in December and that’s how I came across your channel. You were such an inspiration to me seeing how strong you were and always had a smile on your face. I did my last treatment a few days ago and I’m so happy because it was such a hard time of my life. Everyone is so surprised because I’m 25 and everyone is always like “your young you can take it “ I hate when they would say that because it made me think that if I complain about any little thing they see me as weak. But it took me a while to realize I shouldn’t worry about anyone else but myself and what I feel❤️

I completely sympathize and understand you. People would tell me I am young and strong and I have beat breast cancer before. But in reality, I feel so weak. And I appreciate the positivity but on the other hand I believe this situation/outcome is out of my control. It doesn’t matter how strong I am. I have always felt healthy until I was first diagnosed at the age of 32. Five years later, reoccurrence of breast cancer is still hard, painful, and overwhelming.

I’m older then you, 39, and was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer end of January/beginning of February, and it has spread like wildfire. I’ve always been the “tough” one. Im also a nurse. I swear that *some of my “loved ones” don’t realize how asinine they sound. Im sorry you had to hear that. ❤️

A cancer journey is tough …. Emotionally, physically and sometimes spiritually. You have had more setbacks than usual. I am so glad you are seeking the support you need. Hitting the wall is real for many people, and is VERY difficult. Watching your partner hurting is very difficult too. You both have wonderful families and friends that have been supportive, but no one can take the journey for you. It is a lot to deal with. Your openness and honesty will help/has helped so many people…..at the same time I am glad you have taken the time you need and have sought out the support you need to deal things in your own way. Sending you both hugs and prayers. May Gods peace wash over you. ❤️‍🩹🙏❤️👏

Last week the doctor said she probably only has a couple of months left, a couple days later my brother's doctor said he will pass away by end of summer, he's 52 with Appendix cancer. Peritoneal cancer, liver lesions throughout. I'm doing this alone and have asked him to come to Idaho so I can care for him. I cry all the time, this is the most difficult time. Love and wellness.

You are so beautiful Delia. I'm so happy you are talking about this. It is so important. As a therapist, I see many people who don't seek treatment, until they have completely broken down and they feel all alone. I never want people to feel that way. We get through life together. Thank God, we have so many different professions and people are gifted in so many areas. We really do find out when we have sickness, trauma, etc that we are really a part of something so big and all is already so complete. The beauty is being able to see it all function as one. That's the unexpected gift we get to see when we have or are going through something like an illness that is very challenging. We get to see everyone coming together to help us, love us, and be of service to each other. I wish you so much love and happiness. Your family is so beautiful. It's so amazing to see the love you have for each other. Thank you.

The journey you are both going through is the hardest emotional rollercoaster, that seems to be always in the back ground. When you have cancer, although it's happening to you, you always seem to worry about everyone else and the effect it's having on them and think of their feelings, and you then put yours in the back ground. I am so glad you have found someone to off load to. Take care of yourselves, stay strong, sending hugs to you both xx

I’ve followed you two since you started vlogging, and it’s exciting to see the direction your channel is moving in. Delia they say everything happens for a reason, and there is a reason you were given this battle to fight. You have the gift of empathy and compassion to help others who are struggling in life wether it be a physical or mental illness, trauma, cancer, or other battles they may be fighting. You and Dylan have this platform to share knowledge, information, hope, and so much more to so many people who need it! This is both of your calling to be a voice together as a team, to bring hope to the hopeless! By helping others you are also helping yourself, and the universe will reward you! You may be small but girl you are mighty, you are gonna live a long and healthy life I just know it! My mom got diagnosed with cancer around same time as you, thankfully the tumor is stable and not growing or spreading but she must continue daily chemo pills at this point. Her cancer diagnosis really did a number on my anxiety, along with loosing my biological dad after only 2 years of finding him after searching my whole adult life. So I’m excited to not only learn from you about healing myself mentally, physically, and spiritually but also sharing it with my mom ♥️

Delia I am an 8 years breast cancer conquerer. I relate to everything your saying and the aftermath of cancer and all that is involved from diagnosis to "forever" is physically and mentally, emotionally draining....it does not ever end. All of the mentally aspects during treatment, after treatment...PTSD, depression, anxiety, any ache, pain, bump, fatigue, breathlessness etc etc...is always on our minds. Cancer is forever....but I feel the same...whomever I can help by communicating the truth about it all I feel I am also serving our fellow people. We are in a group we never wanted to be a part of. Love hearing your updates!!! I'm also following Becca's journey as their location is quite close to where we live and her treatment is at one of the best hospitals. Hugs to you and your hubby!!

You two are so loving and giving. Sharing your faith in your messages is so real and true. In some of my lowest times, rolled up in a fetal position, crying when I really wanted to wail ( I couldn’t i was a single mom of 4), the only thing I could cry out to keep my sanity is “ The Lord is my Shepherd! The Lord is my Shepherd! “. Until I could pull myself together, pull up my bi girl panties and go make dinner. You both inspire me. Prayer and Good bless you ❤️

You are so strong! I had lung cancer. It is true every pain I get thinking the cancer has come back. You are stronger than I was when I had it. Then last year I had breast cancer that was removed. I am fine now. Everytime I feel sorry for myself I think how strong you are and tell myself stop you are stronger than you think.

I'm so glad you did this video. Mental health is so important. I've been going to a therapist on and off for many years after a suicide attempt when I was 30. I'm 53 now and had to have a double mastectomy and started reconstruction in January. I lost all my siblings and my dad and most of my aunts and uncles so it puts my life in more prospective and I now am mostly happy to just still be alive. I had breast cancer in 2017. Then in 2020 I had a precancer in my other breast. Then last year I had another scare so I knew it was time to do the mastectomy. My family has a high level of breast cancer in it and I wanted to live. I understand the mental health thing. It's hard sometimes and I do reach out for help. You're so strong and you make other women going through the same thing know they are not alone. You have helped so much. Thank you for being you.

You are truly a brave angle. I am a 5 year survivor. I had a double and reconstruction as well. For me the one thing that haunts me is what if it comes back? What caused it? Am I still doing the one thing that caused it? That's been my battle from day one to now 5 years out.
Thanks for being so open and up front about this awful illness. No one gets it till they fight the fight. Stay strong you are loved by so many. Hugs and love to you my Pink sister 💗

I had a double mastectomy 22 years ago. My oncologist told me on my last treatment you go on with your life and put this behind you. It was just one day of bad luck. I listened to him and has done great. You will look back at these moments and become a very strong person. You will beat this with the help of God and with those who love you

Delia, I am so sorry you are having a little sit back. You are so strong and a person of faith, which is important with your illness. Having been in your situation, prayers helped me, but being around loved ones also helps. Even coping sometimes is hard, but you can do this.

Delia I watched you before you had cancer and then watched you as you were diagnosed and then go through your treatments… well here I am also with breast cancer diagnosed in February and going through many treatments you have already been through… I have said to so many people the mental side of cancer is the worst side effect.. so much is concentrated on the medical symptoms of cancer but more needs to be looked at for your mental health.. so thank you for bringing this up 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Not only those who are struggling with anything hearing this will help them, but also maybe even Delia talking out loud more about it is helping her too! Mental health and emotional pain are very serious and should be talked about and brought to light more. Delia & Dylan y’all are much loved and appreciated ❤️ 🙏 ✝️.
