Universal Studios Beijing (Chinese: 北京环球影城) is an upcoming Universal theme park in Beijing that will open in 2021 as part of Universal Beijing Resort. The park would become the fifth Universal Studios-branded theme park in the world, the seventh Universal-built park overall, and the third in Asia, after Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Singapore.
The project was announced on October 13, 2014 with the plan to invest 20 billion RMB (US$3.3 billion) into the new theme park; a groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 31, 2016. It will feature attractions themed primarily to Universal-owned movies, TV shows, animation, and music, as well as licensed properties from other companies (e.g., Warner Bros. etc.)
Universal Studios Beijing is approximately 54 hectares (130 acres) in area, occupying the northeastern most part of the 400-hectare (990-acre) Universal Beijing Resort. The theme park's list of attractions has not yet been officially announced, but some of the park's planned amenities and themed areas have been revealed in concept artwork and promotional materials. As of October 2019, the park is planning to construct seven themed zones, each surrounding a large, central lagoon.

THIS looks like the Jurassic Park ride I've been waiting for since 1993.
This is EXACTLY the JP attraction I've been waiting for since '93.

This is the type of quality dark ride we need more of in the US again. Both at Disney and Universal.
@@trubenstudios4063This ride has way more impressive animatronics than Rise and run away railway. Runaway railway is just boring chaos and Rise is not worth the wait or the money.

@@trubenstudios4063 lmao i cant post pictures in the comment section on youtube and Disneyland is literally 15 min from my house. Yes i have gone on it several times. The best part is really the last part when you escape, it has a good little drop. The AT AT part is cool but only if you go on the right side not the left. The left side is lame. But that speaks more to the set piece than the actual ride. As far as impressive rides are concerned cars is superior. They have better animatronics( when they are working) and special effects, not to mention the ride itself is more thrilling. But that is subjective because if you're are star wars fan boi there will be no convincing you otherwise.

Wow! That animatronic at 4:42 chasing the vehicle was fantastic! That is something I've never seen anywhere else. Universal Beijing has been killing it with these new rides. Can't wait to visit soon!
they should have added the steps sound to great a great and cheap immersion, i think thats what was missing for me

Pretty cool! The part where the Indominus actually "chases" the car was really well done. I haven't seen anything quite like that in a ride before.

i have an idea how they did it, i think its on a platform suspended from the ceiling(unless...)or the have a switch track that brings it in right behind the ride vehicle when its looking another direction, its going to be one of those two, i honestly think its going to be the second option(after watching that section over a few times, but as soon as i saw it, i was like WTF!!!

@@geekmoto1363 It's on a platform like the base of the ride vehicle. I am sure it's just a circuit that loops around. If you look closely and watch the legs they don't move, but the body & arms do. Definitely caught me by surprise and I think it's a really beautiful effect.

@@TheBlueShark But why can't people apply what they learn in school in real life? Saying "this isn't a classroom" is just an excuse to not even try. Don't get me wrong, I personally use "Like" to express casuality in conversations. I just see people using "This isn't school" way too often to justify not applying what we learned while in school. And I often see people being bigger assholes to the person who often simply pointed out an error without being a dick about it. This person was too harsh about using "like" though.
This ride seems pretty cool, especially the part where the indominous is on a track where it simulates it chasing the ride vehicle. It’s good to see that not all the rides were done on a budget,

@@Lil_Angry_Bitch Even if it was working, you wouldn’t even notice that it moved. When you go into that tunnel, you only see the yeti for a second. I couldn’t even get a good glimpse of it when I rode it 3 times.

This ride is the first one that has ever made me gasp at how amazing it is. THIS IS THE RIDE JURASSIC PARK DESERVED FROM THE START!! The animatronics are absolutely amazing where it was hard to distinguish reality and fake!

@@crypt5098 Yeah if you keep looking at the screens you'll notice the characters just disappear. Depends if your tall enough to look over and where you sit.
I always like doing it in these kind of rides on my second go just so I can get a peek at the inner workings and BTS stuff, fascinating stuff.
Wow! That chase scene has to be one of the best effects I’ve ever seen on a dark ride. I kinda wished that would’ve been at the end. Only because the ending pales in comparison.

Jurassic Park is my all time favorite film. I like Jurassic World but now I feel like it's an even better film with this ride in existence. Literally watched with my jaw dropped after the first dino encounter. We need this in the states! Have to get it in Epic Universe!

The way that it’s traveling haphazardly through the dark foliage, that chaos- that’s my FAVORITE part of Dinosaur at Disney. The headlights, the BEAUTIFUL animatronics, the interspersing of technical effects, THE INDOMINOUS FOLLOWING YOU- that’s what dinosaur rides have needed, and god it’s so good. I have so much love for the Jurassic Park river boat ride and Dinosaur at Disney, but they need such a massive update. It makes me upset too because rather than fix the outdated film and effects in Dinosaur, Disney would sooner scrap it entirely. I hope I can give this one a ride someday 😍
Can we just appreciate how majestic the innovation center looks here? I went there last week and the first time I walked into the building, I was mind blown by how faithful they stay to the movie counterpart😢

This is the first video that I have seen of the ride to where I can actually see what's happening. It's very impressive.
Out of the many years I’ve lived my life, I’ve never seen anything this magnificent and priceless. This truly is the Jurassic world experience. As for 4:39 when the indominus chased you, that is incredible! That is literally, that’s insane! What I think is that to do this they built a full animatronic but the feet were attached to a rail on the track which moves along the track then they had the upper body move and stuff, since we mainly see the top part. That truly is insane. Yknow maybe America should start learning from Japan on how to create a great ride. Japan really is the master in theme park rides.
Your right about it being a great ride. But, this is in Beijing, China and was created by Universal Creative in America.
Ride was created by an American team. The difference is the Chinese government funds these theme parks, so they have way more money to be creative compared to the US parks.
I did that ride yesterday and I was amazed when the dinosaur started to chase us! its the first time I see that kind of animatronic, great experience

Nope. Let the international parks be unique. Get a Passport an go to China if you want to see this ride. Culture yourself. America doesn't need to Clone every ride from international parks. American's are so lazy & spoiled, they want everything to come to them, without putting any effort to go see it.

Good God, the Indominus physically chasing the ride vehicle made me sit up in bed and actually yell “holy shit!”. That is the most technically impressive piece of ride engineering I think I’ve ever seen.

this is an impressive dark ride; the indominus rex chasing the ride vehicle around halfway through the ride actually looks like she is following the vehicle
The only thing this is lacking in is a final scene. The river adventure has a better grand finale, but this does have a lot of great stuff. I hate screen rides, but this did a decent enough job of not over doing it - and also incorporating real stuff with the screens.
Holy crap. This might be my favorite dark ride ever. Too bad I’ll probably never get to experience it in person. The effect of the 20 foot dino animatronic chasing the ride vehicle looks sick and I can imagine its pretty scary in person.

Wow, that’s the most impressive Jurassic Park ride yet.
5:28 - I like how one of the members of the Raptor Squad (looks like Delta or Charlie, maybe?) nervously looks into the paddock as the giant door goes up and Rexy starts to make her way out. It's like it's saying, "Ugh... are we sure that we want to let her out?" Nice little detail on how they're still fearful and guarded about the T-Rex even though they're all about to team up.
Hope to see this in the future! Fantastically brilliant Beijing! Knocked it out the Park 😉

I love how this can basically be described as “Animal Kingdom’s Dinosaur, but the dinosaurs actually GET UP AND CHASE YOU”
(ngl Animal Kingdom’s Dinosaur is a classic and that one will always be one of my favorites, but holy crap is this also an amazing ride)

Spectacular ❤ those I Rex, T Rex and Ankylosaurus animatronics are spectacular!!! Loved them, and also the Owen and Claire scenes along with the Raptor Squad and the two big carnivores fight, so cool!!

Jurassic World The Ride at Universal Hollywood also has amazing indominus rex animatronic and other great elements. I like the natural river wilderness setting of that ride more. But this is incredible. I see this being added somewhere at Islands of Adventure Orlando, and I even think they can fit this somehow at Universal Hollywood.
I wish they had this at universal Hollywood. This puts even the original Jurassic park ride and the new Jurassic world ride to shame. Incredible!
