Hey has a Cummins tech at the dodge dealer for those who said how do I use the tool in the truck they make ones with small bolts you really need maybe 1/4 away from the front cover
Did u put it back at 9 clock after tighten the shaft with the 27 mm 🤔 ik u spun it just curious if ya timed it again so much detail but straight skipped the end
Ok so... the number 5 was on the 9 position because thats how you pull it out and the new one have to be in the same position right? So if mine was the number 5 on the 3 position the new one have to be in the 3 too.. and do i have to fill up the pomp before to try to stsrt the engine? thats my only 2 questions but everithing else is perfect, great video
It’s better to set the engine on TDC before disassemble, only then use the number 5 rule. Another thing - make sure the timing gear doesn’t rotate - it happened to me 😤
I would make zero sense to always set the pump up if you are not setting the engine up a certain way too. This step is missing information. Is that the correct position for engine on top dead center?
@@jasontedesco3154 lol calling it a throttle valve is just silly...I know cummins does too lol but it's part of the egr system...nothing to do with throttle.
just curious ,what would happen if it wasn't in the 9 o'clock, what would happen
Cp3 knock.

is the 5 in the 9 o'clock position for the 5 9 and the 6.7?

No, doesn't matter how yours came out. They get reinstalled at the 9 o'clock position.

Can i check the presure to make sure its broke
When you tighten the nut on the shaft does the shaft move at all?
Shouldn’t you have put the engine at TDC? Otherwise why bother putting the “5” at 9 O-clock position?
How the hell someone gonna use that tool if the radiator is on.
I did lol I only took the top radiator hose lose
14:55 the fan is in the way. I can’t get to the head of the bolt to tighten it through the fan. Any suggestions?
So and that case ... You don't put the pump and just buy a new one!
Wats the psi of the cp3
There are other tools that do the same job but are small enough to fit.
Can i test presure
Throttle body housing🤣 on a diesel? ... ooook🤦♂️
Yeah, there is a throttle valve on the intake horn. Part of the government bs emissions crappie that gets put on these now.
