I called a girl out on faking cancer. She said she had prostate cancer. I burst out laughing. Her friends stared at me in shock, and the girl burst into tears. Getting control of myself, I ask the girl if she’s male to female transgender. She denies this. I told her to stop lying then because girls don’t even have prostates, and cracked up again. Girl turned beet red, and once word spread, found herself the victim of numerous jokes.
I hate people who lie about cancer.

@@mercuriogrimmalkyne2291 I'll call him "the rogue" as he played one in both my and a friend's game. The rogue got angry at me because I refused to play with his obnoxious and childish friend when the GM considered inviting him to the group. So, the rogue concocted a plan to humiliate me. He lied to the GM in order to convince him to introduce the rogue as a new player named Kathrine that did not have a microphone. His goal was to prove that I was a massive jerk to new players and thus convince everyone to hate me. The plan backfired. I was really nice to "Kathrine" and was eager to help "her" with her wizard character. Then one day, the rogue forgot to change his screen name and accidentally showed up to my game as Kathrine. When we caught him, he unremorsefully confessed his whole scheme all while I was still livestreaming. The other GM was *furious* when I showed him the recording. We don't associate with him anymore.

Also had a young kid I worked with that kept telling everyone he was a Veteran. I myself being a veteran doubted his claim. Knowing what makes a solider a veteran, I asked him which conflict he served in and he said well I haven't been to war or anything. I said okay then you aren't a vet. I then asked him what his MOS was. And he said military intel. I said that's strange MI doesn't have an mos its made up of several job classes. I then asked several other basic questions that he struggled to answer and finally just told him to shut up and stop lying. The room became awkward quiet.
After work that day I saw him leaving and getting the car with his mother. He was never seen again after that.

Met the husband of my wife's friend. He claimed he went to Army boot camp and was selected for "Sniper" training based on his basic rifle marksmanship module.
Now, everyone knew I was a retired US Army Officer with 20 years of service and multiple combat deployments. The husband, "Chad", decided to try to relate to me by telling all this lies about his experiences in "Sniper" school and how he broke both legs in Airborne school.
I tried to ignore him because I knew he was full of crap... But he tried to insult me but saying I don't know about real combat jobs since I was Military Intelligence. He didn't realize I was Airborne and spent a ton of time in combat with the Infantry and other elements.
I called him out and was able to knock down all his lies. He actually went to basic training to be a mechanic but failed out of basic when he twisted his ankle and then quit. He never went to Airborne school and was telling lies on top of lies.
I didn't take pleasure in it because I really embarrassed him in front of his wife, his family, and his friends. Still, a few people were glad he was finally called out.
His wife divorced him a year later since he lied about cheating on her.

I've had so many people walk into my place of work and insist they've been waiting much longer than they actually have. Typically they'll get grouchy after waiting more than 3 minutes. At this point a lot of them insist they've been standing there for 10-15 minutes.
Similarly I get a lot of people that come back and insist we served them the wrong order or forgot something. Sometimes they're right, but 90% of people coming back are just lying for free food. Technically we're not allowed to do it but twice I've been ornery enough to bluff them by offering to call the police to check the CCTV since it was clear one of us was attempting to steal from the other. They always leave at the mention of the police when they're guilty - even though they rant and rave about how poorly they're being treated or how dirty the floor is or something on the way out.

    • @heartofthewild680

Wow. You’d think it’d be common sense to treat food workers better, if not, because they deserve respect, then at least because you often can’t see what they’re doing in the kitchen.
Sure, if they actually got the order wrong then by all means, send it back, but do so politely. But if you’re going to lie just because you don’t want to pay $10 for your food, that’s just sad.

    • @Aasha
      @Aasha 3 года назад

@@heartofthewild680 Truthfully no one I know is disgusting enough to tamper with anyone's food, but you're right that no one can just know that for sure.
Karens are a narrow-minded breed though. All they see is _"I'm a customer. Therefore I outrank you - the employee that must service me. And I shall squeeze everything I can out of you."_ Karens are basically spoiled children that got bigger but never grew up. Most of them will continue to push the line until they meet resistance.
Once an old lady pulled up to the window - skipping the long line up to it - and demanded to get her order before she'd get out of everyone's way. That old lady belligerently pushed for a while expecting everyone to just cave if she kept pushing. eventually the police were called. Eventually they had to taze her and drag her off to get her out of that spot.

Left a therapy group a few years ago because it wasn't helping me anymore, mostly because the new guy was constantly telling more and more BS stories to monopolize the time. It wasn't until I came back for a Christmas party (I had met my GF at the group and she still attended, so I was invited back) that I caught him.
He goes on about how his newest girlfriend (his previous stories had mentioned others that he proclaimed were the loves of his life) was held at knife point by an ex of hers, at which point the liar disarmed him and broke one of the knife-wielder's bones (forget which), after that the campus cops simply let him and the knife man go home because justice had been done.
Thing is, this all supposedly happened at a local college I used to go to and still had friends at. The campus cops there once brought a girl into the security office for spraying silly string in the Commons area. My friend who was still going there had told me that the campus had been on high alert because a woman was assaulted in the parking lot as recently as a few months prior.
I promptly told the liar, in front of the rest of the therapy group and my GF who was calmly playing on her 3DS as he spouted his BS, that he would be in jail right now if anything he had said was true.
Even the doctor running the therapy group said nothing about this. We just all waited for the pizza to arrive and continued with the holiday party. I get the feeling everyone had been waiting for someone to catch him and call him out.

Had a classmate back in 8th grade (currently in 9th grade rn) who was a few hours late to school. He showed up by the door like it was nothing and the teacher made him stand in front and tell the whole class why he was late. He started rambling about how he had to wake up at 4 am and help his mom in the store for around an hour or two. I guess he slipped up with his words and he implied he did all that yesterday (which im pretty sure he did since he showed up to school with a tired face. keep in mind he said he helped his mom yesterday). And i took note of it. Somehow most of my classmates and teacher missed that detail and continued to laugh and listen. After for what seems like 5 ish minutes, he was done and smiled at the teacher. Everyone stayed quiet for a split second. I was the one who broke the moment of silence. I said "So you're saying that you're late because you had to wake up at 4 am and help your mom in the store." He pointed at me and yelled "Yeah, that's right!" My classmates and teacher remained silent and listened to us. I continued "First of all, nobody would start reciting a small story about why they were late and second, you stated you did all that yesterday. You showed up late today." Needless to say, the look on his face dropped from cocky to shocked in a millisecond. Everyone (including the teacher) burst in a fit of laughter with "OHHHHH"s along with it. He didn't get in trouble because he got what he deserved, and that's because he just got called out. One of the best high school memories I'll definitely keep with me.

The one with the heater in the winter reminds me of my dad.
My dad has a lot of issues and we have a lot of issues with him, but our big yearly fight is over the heater. We live in a desert where it doesn’t get colder than 60F in winter. He tries cranking the heat up to 83 every night so he can be comfortable. We’ve gotten him heating blankets, thermal pajamas, a personal heater he can point at his body, but he refuses to use any of them. He sleeps in his underwear all through winter with thin blankets. We’ve tried talking to him about it, explaining that he has the option to bundle up while we don’t have the option to peel our dang skin off to exist comfortably.
He is the most selfish person I’ve ever met.

Makes me think of my boyfriend. He's practically a heater just by existing, so he prefers to keep things cool... cooler than our housemate and I are comfortable. He sleeps with a heavy blanket and sweatpants, and is almost constantly wearing a beanie... and he'll be complaining that it's hot while I'm sitting there in a long sleeve shirt and jeans and am hesitant to get a cold drink for my throat because it'd lower my body temperature and I'm barely comfortable as is. He's been surprised to see me shivering more than once...

In relation to the guy lied about being in a band without the proper bracelet: I had this annoying "friend" that would crash football parties in college and try to hook up with girls by claiming to be on the team (he was pretty big, so not too much of a stretch). The most brilliant story I ever heard (that spread through the band like wildfire) was when one of the football/basketball players (really nice guy, loved the marching band because we were loud and spirited and fun) recognized him and walked up saying "Hey, I know you! You play in the marching band!" The guy tried denying it, but the athlete kept insisting, "Yeah, you play tuba! It's great to see you man!" For some reason, the girl he was hitting on wasn't as interested in him after that lmao
Additionally, this was serious karma imo because he was one of those guys that regularly declared if a girl didn't want to get pregnant, she should "keep her legs shut".

My family knew someone who lied about having cancer. First they said they had a tumor in their heart and that they had to go to a hospital in a different state for surgery. They disappeared for a week and when they returned, we asked if they needed up taking care of their surgical site. They said no, because they didn't have a tumor.
We found out they went to the other state to go a resort for a vacation their ex paid for a year prior.
A while later they said they had cancer again, this time a brain tumor, and that it was going to be surgically removed.
We were satisfied to call them out on their bull when they came back from their 'surgery' with a full head of hair. Turns out, they went to Mexico for plastic surgery.
Some of us don't trust them anymore but thankfully they haven't pulled the 'I have a tumor' stunt since.

I didn't feel very triumphant after, but when I was six my father taught me a lot of extremely useful things about perception. Watching how people hold themselves, how they walk, what movements they make when they talk or express any emotions, their facial expressions, ect. He taught me a lot. I had a trans friend. Though the concept seems absolutely ridiculous to me, I understand and accept that it means a lot to her. I had to watch her make very poor life decisions, alienate good friends, myself included, just to ditch the people who cared about her for someone we told her was bad news. Inevitably this person screwed her over, stole most of her stuff, broke some and kicked her out. Of course she called the only person she knew who would never turn someone away in her position, me. I stopped everything to come to her aid. I let her move in until she could get back on her feet. I let her take my bed and I took the futon. More privacy that way. There were a few times I blew up on her because she was doing some stupid shit and told her my position based on her track record. That I was knowingly helping out someone who once you're okay and in your feet, you won't give me the time if day. I then proceeded to call her out on all the stupid lies she told me to get out of things and told her I'd respect her if she just told me instead of insulting my intelligence with obviously lies. Even if I didn't know her ticks and various body movements and vocal patterns when she lies, I sure as hell could figure it out real quick because she's not good at making things up on the fly so I pretend to go along with it and make her dig deeper into her lie until it doesn't make any sense. All the while having this friendly grin that says "You know I got you, right?" The last day she was here she threatened to leave after I called her out on lying, saying there was never a point where I didn't know when she was lying and trying to outsmart me wasn't going to happen and that I saw everything that happened to her coming and everyone else she betrayed would have turned her down for what she did but I supported her in her time of need because that's what I do and who I am.
    ...
Ladies and gentlemen let's think about that for a moment.
I brought her in without a moments hesitation. She ate my food. Slept in my bed. Wore my clothes. Vented to me. Didn't pay rent. Was here for free. I walked all over god's creation helping her find the next place to live. I called in favors. I had a friend use a vacation day just to help her. I already knew she was going to drop off the grid once she moved out and all I asked was that she stopped lying to me. After that I cought her in no less than five more lies and called her on it. Then she threatened to leave.
I said "Hun, I was fine before I met you. I was fine when you were okay. I was fine when you abandoned your friend's including me. I was fine when you were in trouble. I was fine when you were a burden to me. And I'll be fine if you leave. The only person this hurts is you. So you can go ahead and walk out hell I'll even pack your bags for you. But just remember who was there for you and your darkest times. Who had the full option to give up on you but made the decision not to. You threatening to leave is not a threat to me. It just means I have less stress to deal with and more food for myself. So the decision is yours, you want to walk out the doors open. You want to stay the bed is right there."
She stayed until her next apartment was finalized, about three days later, showing me what I already knew, that she could have done this at any time, and then she blocked me. Took me three months to realize I was blocked. I was just wishing her a happy new year. I don't hold any animosity against her. She did have a PS4 controller and a sleeping bag I let her barrow and again she lied and told me she left them down stairs in my complex and that she wrote a note on them saying "Property of (my name)" I think right about now you can HEAR my eyes rolling.
    Yup. That's my story.

Back in high school I used to publish poetry anonymously online, I would use one account and for a time it got a little bit popular, but it didn't last very long. I stopped posting anything a couple of months after I had started, I didn't expect it to ever come up again. Then low and behold, it did, in the most unexpected way. There was a girl I in the afterschool club I used to attended who would constantly be flaunting her writing, a few times before I had recognised it as something I had seen online, but I let it slip since she wasn't really doing any harm and it was only between friends, until one day, she pulled out a poem. It had been a piece that I had written during the darkest time of my life, when I seriously considering ending my life, it was a pure chunk of my soul, and it hurt like all hell to she her holding it and claiming it as her work. I pulled her over and explained the situation, thinking she might be decent about it considering how revealing the poem really was, unluckily for me, I was wrong.
I woke up this next morning to find out she had gone back to the account where she had gotten my poem from, and got the other 100+ poems that were deeply intertwined with my life and my emotions, and posted the entire lot of it on our towns Facebook notice board, putting my name all over it, and it didn't stop there. She leaked my identity at school, and on the online forum in which I had been posting the poetry.
Suddenly all the hate comments that I had been receiving on this account started to flow into my personal accounts, and I felt so embarrassed that anyone and everyone could simply flip through an almost everyday record of my deeply personal life.
Honestly, since this happened I would never consider posting anything I wrote online ever again, and it has ruined my fondness of wanting to show people my work. For a long time it made me deeply ashamed of my poetry, and I forced myself to stop writing, when it was the only form of expression that I could vent my pain in.
Maybe things would have been better if I had let her get away with her lies, but its too late to return to how things where now.
TL;DR A "friend" tried passing off my poetry as hers, and confronting her was a very bad mistake.

Yo the set up to the paintball, ptsd vets one was so wholesome I almost cried. Oh God. I don't mean it in a condescending way when I say that I honestly just see little boys who have been through so much and need a hug and someone to take care of them when they return from war. Tbf, the older i get the more i just see people as big kids who are trying their best but who are still just little boys and girls on the inside who deseve someone who can be there for them when they are struggling. I feel so bad for vets and this initiative is melting my heart.

My friends ex-friend messaged me and started trying to get me to hate her, saying stuff like "she's lying about her depression" "she back stabbed me" etc. After talking to them for a while I got suspicious and asked my friend to keep tying letters to me and continued to talk to the "ex friend". My friend said her internet kept going out, which is why the letters stopped every time the "ex-friend" messaged me. I finally said "This is [friend], isn't it?" I told her I wasn't mad, just confused, but she stopped talking to me after that.. Idk why she even did it...
Also, a very similar story: another friend of mine would put love letters in my locker constantly and pretended to be my secret admirer. I took one of the notes, compared it to the writing on her choir folder and knew immediately that it was her...
Again, no clue why. If she liked me, she could have said it. I'm an open bisexual and I actually did ask her out once, but it didn't really work out.
    I attract some weirdos...

Maybe your friend (pretending to be the ex-friend) was trying to get you to say something negative about "friend". Does that make sense? I mean, the whole thing is strange, but why pretend to be someone else and try and lead you into saying nasty things about your "friend" anyway? Someone has been in her ear, and made up stories about you, sounds like. People like to create drama where there isn't any...P.S. I'm sorry about your friend break up, though.

The reason the ice cream/shake machines are always down at McD's is because they are on a timer (I think it's once or twice a week) and will stop working when they are scheduled to be broken down and cleaned. There are usually maybe 2 people per location that know how to do this, and if they aren't scheduled for a few days or quit or whatever the machine stays off until it gets its maintenance done.

Me and two friends had been playing a game and they said they were gonna hop off, so I did too. I then get back on probably 2 minutes later and they were playing together. I called them out and said they lied because one said he was going to nap and the other shower. It wouldn’t have been all that bad if they hadn’t then berated me on almost everything I was self conscious about. I’m talking they said I had a squeaky voice I was short, the full 9! This entire time one who said he was gonna sit back and watch (WTF) while he continued to join?

Meh. First, they're not friends, but gaming acquaintances (even if they live next door). Second, unless you have seen them physically yourself, they're probably having worse self esteem issues than you are, simply because they have to demean someone to feel better. They are people of very poor character, so you do NOT have to take their lies in and feel bad about yourself. Go play a different game, be a little more aware of how people treat you, and jettison anyone who is so mean spirited that they feel okay about lying and then justifying it all by being totally nasty. Dump 'em.

When I worked at PetSmart, this girl came in to return these dog collars and harnesses saying that she bought them for her grandma's dog a month ago but they didn't fit, and of course she had no receipt. I called my manager over and she said, "A month ago, huh? That's funny, we didn't receive these specific collars and harnesses until last week. And we weren't instructed to put them out until a few days ago." The lady responded by saying she got them at another location in a town an hour away. Which just happened to be the exact PetSmart my manager used to work at. She informed her that every store in our district receives the same instructions from corporate, so they were brand new to the other store as well. And the girl STILL CONTINUED TO ARGUE. Unfortunately, I don't remember how it ended, since this was years ago, but I do remember my manager informing the other store of what happened. And the other store discovered that they were missing the exact same items when comparing their inventory count. What a crazy coincidence, huh? 🤪🤪🤪

It's the nicest car I've ever owned, I am very proud I was able to afford it. I am protective of it. I noticed, after having driven a minivan for a while, that a lot of people in their big ass pickups and SUVs don't pay a lick of attention to small vehicles. I've almost gotten in several accidents because of these assholes who drive like they are invincible. Literally happening tonight (08/05/22) I was working the gate at a concert event and a lady (already drunk) was whining that she didn't have the $30 to pay for the ticket, and besides the event was 1/2 over. This is a day-long event with multiple bands playing on multiple stages, so it was already a good deal for the day. There were several hours to go yet, and we're not responsible if a customer decided not to come until 8:30 at night.
We wouldn't give her the ticket at a discounted price, so she went to complain the cop that was standing there. He decided to be nice and offered to pay the last $10, so we were like, "o-kay". Honestly, we all just wanted her to stop harassing us. The lady threw a wad of cash at us, saying it was "all she had" like that was our fault and we were forcing her to come to the event. Well, the wad she threw at us consisted of, a $20, a $10, two $5s, and about five $1s. She complained so much about not having any money, then just threw almost $50 at us.
We took the $30 and gave her back the rest. But I don't think she understood what happened because she came back with her drunk friends and they were complaining that she got in for $20 and they had to pay $30. Like, okay, you want us to kick out your friend? I told them, that she did pay $30. She gave us $30 and we gave her back her change. Even so, they agreed to pay $30 when they originally bought their tickets, what someone else paid for their ticket is none of their business. They eventually left screaming that they paid $1500 for their hotel and they deserve $10 back, like lady, what you paid your hotel has nothing to do with us.
The funny thing is, about 20 minutes later the boss came around and said to start selling tickets for half-price for the rest of the night.

A complete manbaby i met online called darkshadows claimed he make gamefan's flight logic (This is an LBP creation btw). He was showing off a creation that he claimed he made like a fake mod menu called Vionex that let you fly and do other stuff. I saved it when he wasn't looking so i could show the spaghetti logic to my friends so we could laugh at it. A few months later me and my friend were playing gamefan's superhero RPG and i selected flight as my power. And when I started flying i thought "HOLD ON A MINUTE this is the same as the flight darkshadows in the menu said he made." So i did a glitch to steal gamefan's flight logic and i opened up gamefan's flight logic and also the flight logic darkshadows claimed he made. Upon seeing that they were both literally the EXACT SAME and even had the freeze logic that would only work with the freeze power in gamefan's level. Upon seeing the obvious plagiarism i took a screenshot and messaged darkshadows saying "The flight logic in vionex is made by gamefan." And then he replied "Nope everything is made by me." To which i sent the screenshot that proved his plagiarism then i explained exactly what i did to prove he plagerized gamefan's logic.
He then proceeded to claim he got the flight logic from a YT tutorial. Then i said "If you did there wouldn't be a freeze function in it that would only work in gamefan's level." Then he immediately changed to story to "I tried to steal the flight logic but it had marvel DLC. So i had to make my own." Then i explained that not only does he have the marvel DLC but the only DLC in the flight logic is the winter DLC which is FREE.
And i asked "How and why would you have made freeze logic that would only be functional with tags specific to gamefan's level?" He stopped replying.

18:05 First: what is it about some workers that causes them to become total assholes to clientele at retail stores? EB's not going to give you a raise for suckering some lady out of her money.
Second: Definitely going to start calling my friends "cocknuckle" and "dick whiskers" (jokingly, of course)

there was this one guy i knew, still kinda know him but he hasn't changed at all
He is a pathological liar probably since he keeps telling lie after lie after lie, lied about his age, his face, his life, his entire life story basically. He told me he was some ''big shot'' rich, military owning, mafia controlling, british rich boy who has ''a lot of power'' he sent this photo of himself while i was in a voice chat with him (this is on discord) And i just had enough of all of this, i reverse image searched the photo and the original was from some gay porn site, i told him about it and he said ''uh, ah, yea-yeah people use my image a lot on websites'' like man what the fuck, he cannot stop lying even when completely caught red handed. Even his friends on discord had enough in this group we had, and in the group chat we were in whilst he wasn't in the call, they told me that they somehow found his tiktok account, revealing his actual face, his life in a sense, and that this ''super powerful rich boy'' takes the public bus. I told him about allllll of it, told him i know about all the shit he lied about, yet he Stood his ground saying ''i have to take the bus, i had to lie about my face because I have to be secretive'' shit like that on and on and on, he also said he was a hacker, yet he never showed a single bit of proof of this fact.
Basically, Liar, even when caught in every single lie, continues to lie about everything. feels good to get that off my chest

Yeah... That whole, “you better pre-order such and such video game or wait in line opening day. There isn’t going to be stock...”
A bunch of bullshit. That hasn’t been true since Ocarina of Time. I pre-ordered that game and was glad I did it. That was in 1998. I pre-ordered games for years after before realizing everyone else was just coming in and buying the game normally I launch day. If a games going to big, they make enough copies. Now hardware? That can be something else entirely. Especially now, post Corona world, I STILL don’t have the new XBox and I love in Los Angeles... It’s crazy.

It was a month before I could get a physical copy. By the time I even knew about it, the _pre-orders_ were sold out.
