Download Clash of Clans here: wehy.pe/y/8/BranOnline Thank you for supporting me and the channel, honestly I'm really enjoying these kinda laid back fun videos and I hope you are too! We're getting close to 100K subs which is a dream come true and I still can't quite believe it... Thank you, truly.
Every opinion matters including yours. Don't be afraid to tell others off if you don't agree with them including me. Like I told "Alby" when he was still playing and living Genshin, your one of the nicest player/content creator around ☺️
Genshin's lore is PHENOMENAL and I actually like that it's hidden rather than shown, cause you never know when you find a random book and it's a lore bomb drop about some god's past. Also it's fun to find out about random huge lore casually in videos or other sources, I think it makes the game more interesting because you never know the limit of how much lore you can find out. And that's what genshin is, in part: exploring and find out stuff. Which I think it's what makes it interesting.
@@amberknight7301hmm idk, genshin is first and most an open world game so it goes for a more environmental storytelling, the more u explore it the more u learn of this world makes it more immersive
This isn't a hot take, it's just true. Mona, Qiqi, and Keqing got them, so why not Jean and Diluc? Kaeya, Xiangling and Fischl vs any of the other 4*s... C'mon.
My hot take is that Traveler is not a bland character. If you go through the character story, the traveler has their own perspectives on the things they encounter in Teyvat and if you pay attention to the dialogue options you see that the character becomes more and more perceptive and less passive with each patch
The traveler is slowly becoming a cynical and cold character because of all the things they’ve been going through, from saving nations, saving people, watching friends and people die, and above all, their still looking for their twin who is on the opposing side and are trying to understand the meaning of their journey, so what I mean is, that if people view the traveler as a 1 dimensional character, they need glasses
Aboslutely. Finally someone who sees it. And it makes perfect sense IMO While they're slowly getting the bigger picture about Teyvat and realizing not everything is black or white, they're also slowly edging through the gray area. It's decent character development
literally this, when cyno came out and people said he was awful, i was a bit sad, then i tried him out and realised he is the personification of unga bunga mode and extremely fun and strong for single target, only thing he was missing at the time was just better dendro characters (only tighnari collei and traveler out at that point iirc) and what do you know nahida came out and now he feels even more amazing to play, since then i stopped caring about the communities opinions on character strength and just play whatever feels good/fun or fits the team comps im building
My hot take is that kokomi had the potential to be one of the most interesting characters in terms of lore and story quest but they wasted the potential by making that boring story quest of hers , just imagine if the enkanomiya world quest was instead kokomi’s quest and she joined us to our trip to enkanomiya and fought against Enjou with us , it would’ve been a great way to test her gameplay since she works great against pyro lectors + if that was actually the case we could’ve had Patrick seitz phenomenal voice acting for enjou permanent in game :’)
Ikr, its kinda baffling how the Priestess of Watatsumi Island has less overall screentime than an ordinary Oni (No hate to Itto, now i gotta run before he beats me down)
Chongyun is a very good character, people hate him because they only spam skills and see number but don’t even care and learn how to work with mechanics
I agree! In fact many 4 stars offer a very big range of gameplay. When you quit being a meta salve you really discover hidden gems with underused characters and Chong is a really good example!
Yeah, I fought Raiden the first time with only 4 stars (excluding traveler) and I’ve been living with 4 stars until I got Keqing but I was honestly praying so :|
Bro as much as I hate that the possibility is real, I seriously wonder WHAT would be redeemed. Cuz literally there is no good around him- most, if not all, of the lore he has in game is literally him acting like a dick.
I personally wouldn't mind if it involved a new dotorre iteration. For example when an interation is made is it just straight copy and paste at that time? If not is there a way the traveler could influence the copy before it got to that point. It would be a way from dottore to become playable without having everyone become friends or hang out in that weird gray area. The original dottore would still be evil and the copy can still have his personality but perhaps with a little less murder. Lol
my hot take: i want more characters that are similar to others but in different elements. you know how people say alhaitham is dendro keqing? well i want more of that because some things are just fun to do no matter how many times you do it and it means you get more fun options for team comps (this is just me wanting more pyronado but with different elements lol)
I can't like this more than once and it makes me sad. I desperately want the same thing. There are characters I adore that I can't run with my team comps because their element or set up just doesn't compliment well. I want more of this so badly... I will take new characters, but rather than reinventing the wheel every time, I would much rather have new lore/characters with the combat I already enjoy.
I can understand how C6 Bennett affects Physical DPS like Eula or Razor, but I don't understand why Ayaka's and Keqing's infusions are overridden unlike other character's.
Yeah I C6ed my Bennett and I haven't noticed much difference. Even Ayaka who has a missplitter keep in mind is not that bad with...With vapes I can do 12k-20k per hit....Eula is probably the only 5 star that gets "hurt" by C6 Bennett.
@@markastyan I wish constellations were toggleable 'cause I wanna play Thundering Furry so badly but I don't want to ruin sunfire melt Jean in the process 😭
People give Nahida far less credit than she deserves. I don't think it's fair to compare her with the other Archons considering that she was locked up in a cage shortly after her birth for 500 years, and basically had to learn everything by herself. She is very independent and the fact that she is capable of managing an entire country wihout prior knowledge and experience as a child is already impressive. She has a massive potential to become an amazing archon once she has grown. Although i think zhongli would've already died of old age by then.
@@do_cyxinfo and experience are two very different things tho i can know how to perform a surgery but if i dont have real time experience it will go very terribly
@@do_cyx Nah man, pretty sure the sages cut off, or at least blocked, her connection with irminsul. Actually they did, the bubble thing was tweaked to do just that.
I have a hot take of my own and that is people who try to discredit Nahida or tries to paint her in the wrong picture are simply Loli haters or particular type of players who expected the Dendro archon to be another hype wifu character.
@@mojih7 yes but u can't just put aside that that her access to irminsul doesn't help her a lot more than compared to other archons. having 0 knowledge and 0 experience Vs having the knowledge as a guide to do something is already an advantage
Geo might be the "worst" element in genshin but mono geo teams that does or does not include itto and albedo is amazing to play. The fact that almost every geo unit (except Noelle) makes a good amount of geo particles and they all have relatively low energy cost and low cooldown makes them really fun to play.
The only geo character I have leveled up at least to 70 is noelle, I never understood why you need geo. Which is quite the bad because I couldn't fight the geo Wolf lord in the spiral abyss... Still learning, maybe I should build/get some geo users
@@sophiemoser1752 I suggest you watch some guides first because teams that focus on reactions are often easy to build and does way more damage than geo teams.
Hot take apparently: Amy/Fischl is an amazing character and extremely strong in many teams Edit: keep the word "apparently" in mind people. I also agree it's not a hot take
My hot take: The Traveler is underrated. My traveler is mostly phys and they deal pretty good dmg. As for the story, yes. HYV really did them dirty as main character, i wish HYV will give them more justice in the future Ex: make them talk more/give them a burst animation. Smth like that, just give them more love as main characters
Oh before I forget, I loved Nilou's quest because I know what it's like to pursue a creative career in an Asian household and I'm glad it wasn't Nilou because we need proof that you can pursue a career that isn't academic and still have loving parents.
@@epicdarkraifournineone8006 LMAOOOO it’s not just ayaka tho lol (i didnt even think about that, that’s funny). i talking about nilou (cause she gets a lot of flack) and kazuha. i don’t understand how people can say he’s boring 💀
@@abcd-mo5mo personally i found his fleeing inazuma quite interesting, the idea of the wandering samurai. but then we had like 1 event and his story quest just about his family history about blacksmithing and it just wasn't that entertaining (to me !)
@@abcd-mo5mo KAZUHA??? damn he's the opposite of boring but I guess dialogue skippers wouldn't know that. Nilou I'm ngl i'm iffy on but not because she's nice (I actually love how sweet she is) but her story quest was just really boring (to me personally)
Thoma is a solid main DPS and has a better shield than Zhongli. If you C6 Thoma, look at the max shield absorption amount and it is higher than Zhongli. This max amount is easy to achieve with a certain amount of EM as his burst refreshes the shield and stacks remaining absorption so long as you use normal attacks to trigger the flame.
My hot take would be that Yae Miko making Gorou into Ms. Hina without his consent is terrible. (Moreso Hoyoverse making Ms. HIna in this way) I do like Yae Miko as a character and her being a kitsune does entail her mischievous and wicked actions. However, in-game lore at least, she is unnecessarily antagonistic and disrespectful to Gorou. It could've been in big sister teasing little brother kind of a way but she says things to him that make him uncomfortable and puts him in situations like the Irodori festival when she wants his help but he has to wear women's clothes. I have no problem with men wearing "women's" clothes. It's just the fact that he never knew she had his image as Ms. Hina which is obviously pandering to trap tropes when in this situation it's not because Gorou never agreed to be seen in this way. I understand it's to pander to fanservice but for me, it's distasteful in the sense that we only ever see Gorou as an uwu boy who looks better as a "girl" (at least in the eyes of the fans. Not all fans but you know what I mean) when there is so much more of this character that is locked behind the fanservice perception of him. It's played as a joke but it's very uncomfortable to me as a player and almost every time Gorou is on screen or in an event Ms. HIna has to be mentioned which personally makes me irritated. For when Gorou and Itto finally talked it had to be about Ms. Hina (which I get why), during Itto's drum event, or the Irodori festival. Also, the Traveler not telling Gorou of what is happening without his consent would break his trust in them and it is literally so easy to be truthful like don't spare his feelings and tell him the truth. He's not dumb he's a general for god sake. (I could be wrong about that because it's been a hot minute since his hangout). I'm not saying fans can't like Ms. Hina and I understand that it's just a game. It's just the way it happened story-wise that makes me uncomfortable and angry for Gorou and he deserves to have more of his own story told as a general and his struggles during the war against the shogun. He's cute but because of how the Inazuma story quest went down we never got to learn more about him and his struggles firsthand. (My bad for making this kinda long. Felt like I needed to at least explain my reason as to why. Love your videos dude.)
@@dankmemer6576 but the thing is - he doesn't know his image is of A waifu girl.. Thats without his consent. And last time Yae Miko teased him about wearing Female clothes HE didn't sound comfortable at all. Its because he is a male character that such notions are meant to be funny, it ISN'T
@@BDaTDaSADaNDaIME Bro what? In the inazuma spooky event festival thing, when itto mentions to gorou that he told miss Hina abt his fishing story. Gorou was worried itto would find out abt him being miss Hina. He obviously does know.
My hot take: Is it bad that I am kinda rooting for the Fatui? I mean, I get the idea of the tsaritsa giving absolute peace to teyvat, just their methods are sometimes a little... to extreme (I'm looking at you, Dottore!) I'd love to see an ending where we side with them to fight the heavenly principles
No, it's not bad. Not all fatui are bad, mind you. It's kind of like the Joker movie from 2019: It's due to the gods/archons shitty behaviour, them turning their back on most of the folk, that many people resort to becoming bigoted haters of anything heavenly. We feel sympathy, and that's why we root for the "so called villain"
Idk if this is considered a hot take but I actually really like Fischl! Especially after the 2.8 apple archipelago event where we learned a lot of more lore about her. The biggest reason as to why I like her so much is precisely because of her personality and how she acts/speaks. Even though that’s mostly the reason people dislike her, I think her personality/character is very unique and interesting unlike other characters like Jean, Ganyu and Keqing who basically all act the same (all are the overworked character)
The Diona take was funny if you consoder her most recent event quest. Girl seriously tries to sabotage her drinks and it still somehow comes out good. 🤣
My hot take: I'd rather have the rest of the Harbingers get the Signora treatment than seeing them playable and friendly with the Traveler. For me it ruins a big part of their charm and... let's be honest - how can Dottore, for example, be portrayed as friendly? Dude's literally insane and doesn't care about anything other than his experiments (and he's a great villain, so he should stay like that).
Lol them being playable doesn't really have to tie into the lore. Literally just look at Childe, dude despite being "friendly" towards us is still doing evil shit behind the scenes with other Fatui members. You honestly could have every member be playable without none of them being good in any way.
@@FloatingAmongTheCosmos Your point is valid and I agree with Childe, but his situation cannot be applied to all of the other Harbingers. Childe as a character is what you'd call "morally grey" as he's neither good or evil, but when you think about other Harbingers who are truly bad people you can't really imagine them doing some things only playable characters do. For example: the birthday letter. I can't imagine someone like Dottore or Arlecchino writing that kind of message tbh. And don't get me wrong: I wish to see more Harbingers being playable, but ONLY if their characters as a whole aren't ruined by a cheap redemption arc only to appeal to the audience.
Hot take: Childe isn't the villain, he never was. Zhongli has been the mastermind all along, yet he faces zero to none hate, at all. I think the hate he gets is overzealous, even when doing it "unironically", it's just annoying, really.... And if you read this far, another hot take: Raiden Ei is a very disgusting and manic person. She started a whole civil war because she was too childish to face her trauma. Thousands of people died an unnecessary death because of her.... Yet, even tho she was fully aware of what was going on outside, she still did not wish to change a single thing..... Definitely the character deserving of more hate imp.....
I hate limited time events. It's bad enough that all those great 4* weapons are limited, but limiting canon story lore is a joke. The weapons I can deal with not getting, but at the VERY LEAST they should let us play through it with the basic quest rewards or something
I'd love if they got rid of limited time events completely. Like ALL of them, not just flagship events. I wish every piece of content added to the game was permanent.
I don't know if this is a hot take or not, but I think 4* characters should get their own quests as well. I know some of them get hangouts, but I want to learn more about these characters too. Like how we got a quest for Razor and Xiangling.
Guess I’ll add my own hot take: Cyno isn’t worse than Keqing. If u actually compare them in their best teams, they preform very similarly, and Cyno can even clear faster against certain types of content like against S.I.M.O.N for example.
Anyone else honestly fine with the skin rollout? Like I’m really happy that they actually have thought put into them and aren’t dipping into the Gacha game cliches. (Ex. maid/butler, swimsuit, wedding dress, bunny outfit etc.)
My only issue with it is how slow it is. Like it's taking them months to dish out what some other games I've played put out in one two versions it's unfortunate and reduces my enthusiasm about them
I don't really think this is a hot take, but......Venti is very mischaracterized by the community, especially on Twitter. I HATE how often I see people describing him as "just a drunk and lazy archon" when he's so much more than that. People forget that mondstadt is really important to him and he would do anything for them. I wouldn't even be surprised if one day he sacrifices himself for mondstadt. I just wanted to let it out, I'm tired of seeing one of my favorite characters being treated like this. Also, sorry if I made any mistakes, english is not my first language. Love your content, Bran
If people are thinking he's drunk and lazy actually, thats just dumb. I just look at that as a funny meme and actually do respect him. Genuinely if he wasn't in mondstadt, I doubt we could've calmed Dvalin and saved anyone.
@@FloatingAmongTheCosmos Yes, I think so too! But it got to the point where I saw some people really taking it seriously, and I couldn't believe it. They really underestimate Venti a lot.
not a hot take but a pro tip: always prepare for the worst in gacha games. it doesnt matter how lucky youve been, unless youve got 80 pity and got a guaranteed 5*, you should always prepare enough incase worst case scenario happens
If I earned a single Mora for every time I see a post on Reddit that complains about suffering the consequences of "building pity," I would be richer than Ningguang and Diluc combined. I swear, people only use "building pity" as an excuse to try and justify their gambling problem. The best way to "build pity" is to save up enough.
You want a hot take? You want a HOT take? Alright, here it is: I believe that, with one exception that doesn't deserve recognition, the English VAs for this game have done a fantastic job. Yes including Paimon whose high pitched voice matches the floating fairy aesthetic she's got going on, even if she could do with a little less repeating everything 2 to 6 times. Here's one more for the road: Paimon is the true protagonist of the game. Support? Guide? BS. She has more speaking lines than absolutely every single other character in the game and that will always be the case without a single exception. Paimon IS Genshin Impact, and there is nothing any of us can do to change that. You dislike any character? Swap them out of the party, don't do their quest or just suffer through the forced Archon quest. Don't like Raiden? Leave Inazuma, you don't have to see her again. Hate Fischl? She's barely in the story (sadly). Don't like Paimon? BAD LUCK, BUSTER, SHE'S ALWAYS THERE! She talks to you all the time, she talks FOR you ALL the time, she IS your interface with the game. Literally! You can never ESCape her, that key just brings her out.
Talking about Dain, I wish something similar would be done with Tartaglia, where he was a reoccuring Archon Quest character in every region. We did get a story event with him in Inazuma... But it was kinda stupid with how he was hunting for Scara while he was already working with Dottore The point is, I really want to see him either dying for Tsaritsa in the fight against us, or the opposite, joining our side and paying the price. Both of these could make an even bigger IMPACT if we were close with him all the time
I mean, at the time, Scara wasn't working with Dottore yet. Childe outright told us that Scara had cut communication with the Fatui and run off with the Gnosis so they had no idea where he was. I wish they had given us an explanation in permanent content for how all of this went down, though, especially since that event confirmed that Signora didn't know Scara already had the Gnosis and that's why she was in Tenshukaku. That's why she reached for Raiden's chest right before she died. Scara essentially contributed to Signora's death. I do agree, though, I wish they would have Childe show up in permanent content more. They seem to be going the path of him eventually joining us, considering we have two mentions of him wanting to leave the Fatui to team up with us (His voice over + Teucer mentioning it if you pick the right dialogue choice), and Scara believes that Pulcinella taking care of Childe's family is not the kindness that Childe thinks it is, but rather a way to take his family hostage if he steps out of line. I think Childe has more to his future story than just being in the Fatui, considering he has voice overs about how he's going to take over the world someday, and the Archive description for his weekly boss quotes someone telling him that he will someday use the power he learned in the Abyss to "overturn this world."
My genshin hot take: HoYo needs to invest in making NPCs unique or at least have a better model. Their models have less polygons than a model from ps2 game and all the accessories look like stickers slapped onto their clothes and skin. Not to mention the reused faces. I see teppei everywhere after he died in the overworld.
They do that intentionally. If they be changing every NPC to have different faces, and all quests to have voice overs. It will take up A LOT of phone storage for the mobile players.
@@冰淇淋9824 Not just mobile.. PC and PS players too. As someone working with software, I believe they planned to have a reasonable size after 5 years, not just for current state.
Very hot take: people should stop saying nahida squeezed out info from dottore when in reality he was the one who chose to do it for her since she was basically cornered
Raiden isn't redeemable and thats not a hot take, its fact. Inazuma has had years of oppression because of her and deciding to change doesn't make up for all the wrong she had done. Its like if any evil person in history decided they were wrong, it wouldn't matter because the damage was done.
my hot take: Xiangling may be powerful, but she feels a bit cumbersome to play because of her skill being clunky to use and managing her crit value whilst getting enough ER is a pain in the arse. Genshin needs more off-field pyro DPS's ASAP so that I don't need to bother using her
My Hot take: Making Nilou was Hoyos answer to the playerbases lazy Team making. Every Pyro character NEEDS to vape, every Cryo character NEEDS to freeze, Geo NEEDS to stay seperated, Electro was not worth it before Dendro, Anemo MUST group up enemies. We have alot of characters that work similar (like how almost every Cryo character works in freeze except Eula), but because of that we don't explore other fun options. Also people became way to dependent on Bennett, Xingqiu and Xiangling, to the point that every character gets compared to them. By creating Nilou Hoyo was basically like: "Well, you guys only use one type of Team anyways, might as well put it into her kit." And don't tell me that it's not true. Hu Tao only gets played with vape and most of the time the Team stays the same. It is ALWAYS Hu Tao, Xingqiu/Yelan (sometimes both), Kazuha and Zhongli. There is basically no variety, nobody plays overload Hu Tao or burning Hu Tao not even for fun instead of numbers.
I hate the fact that new players can immediately rebuild the Jade chamber right after completing the Liyue AQ. Im not sure if HVY just didnt noticed it. The quest should be lock behind Inazuma AQ. Its just doesnt give new players the sense of nostalgia(?)
Yes. I started playing in 2.8 and it was weird for me that why a 2 of the characters in the liyue archon quest (shenhe and yunjin) use materials from inazuma bosses. Then i searched and realized this archon quest was released in 2.4😂
In this case, nostalgia is quite irrelevant. Yeah sure, most of us who played before 2.4 were excited to get the Jade Chamber back and the way it was done, tying it to Lantern Rite and all, was great. But storywise, yeah irrelevant. It can happen literally any time after the main Liyue AQ as the quest only mentions the Traveler has been away for a while. This is an RPG after all and you can't fault players for having different experiences. What I DO HATE is that Perilous Trail (Chasm Archon Interlude) also shows up even before going to Inazuma but YOU CAN'T ACCESS IT UNTIL AFTER INAZUMA'S AQ and some Story Quests. (Yes I play on an Alt sometimes.)
1:47 plot twist, it is the traveler who gets to off him :] Also, I think that the Scara interlude quest was the start of his redemption arc. We just helped him realize that erasing himself from people's memory doesn't erase what he's done in the past and that he should learn from his mistakes to be a better person.
My hot take: Genshin's Genius Invocation TCG doesn't have a character card meta at the moment. You can use any characters to play any other opponent characters and still come out on top as long as your support cards don't fail you.
I kinda go back and forth on this depending on my mood, but a hot take I’ll sometimes stand by is that the resin cap isn’t actually that bad. There are players (like me) that don’t necessarily like the grindy parts of a game and are more so there for the story, exploration, etc. Having a resin cap is like saying “Hey, this is how much you need to grind today”, and so you grind bit by bit instead of in one long, tedious session. Somewhat needless to say though, is that I’ve been getting increasingly busy irl and I would prefer to not have worry about the resin (or commissions even) I’ll miss out on using if I were to stop playing for days at a time. Gaming is one of my favorite things though so I don’t mind the routine too much, I just wish there was some flexibility with it :,3
My hot take (And I feel as it may/may not occur in the future): I kinda want to see a scenario where the instead of an Archon stepping down from duty, such as with Zhongli and Venti, but seeing them overthrown by a group/citizens/ third party kind of thing. I feel that could make an interesting plot point maybe. Edit: I mean, that's sorta what happened in Sumeru with Nahida but I feel she wasn't at the top enough before being kept in the Sanctuary by the Sages.
Hopefully it happens in Fontaine. Although people there really follow the judge system. IMO it should have happened in Inazuma. Ei isn't at all a good ruler, Lore speaking, it was her sister who handled people and politics. Ei should have given the rule to the Trio commissions, because she still sheltered herself instead of paying respects to the citizens that got killed for her lack of empathy / agreeing to the Vision hunt decree suggested by the Fatui Maybe, yes, she is indeed still traumatised by her loss, im not arguing that. However I genuinely disliked the 2.1 end and her first story quest. It did not bring any closure, people she stole visions/memories from are not okay, soldiers from Watatsumi that died for the civil war and to get their visions back (which we would have seen a bloodshed if this game wasn't meant for kids
Another comment I'd like to add (I'm not attacking you or anything, I think I always used a general polite way of speaking in my comment too/ I am giving what I know of the Lore aspects) is that I agree with your edit : it didn't happen in Sumeru, as people were made aware of Nahida's existence during the Al plan / when we fight Scara and Nahida asks for help from all the subjects who still had the Akasha terminals. This to say, the Akademiya and Sages overdid themselves and rightfully are cast away (I suspect they didn't execute them for a possible future Sumeru quest, where they come back, and we finally do put an end to them / Nahida's mercy is gonna end). Nahida IMO is the purest of the Archons, as she had to figure out her own feelings after being a cast out child of Sages. She has no fault ever since she was born and ended the Rukkha samsara/ destiny. > this is now a tangent to my comment to your edit, so I'm just write to pass time hahah- IMO, Nahida is the purest as she had not done anything wrong yet. We can disagree on her letting the Sages free in a village nearby, but, it's not like Venti who for his ideal of freedom (kinda like a known biblical God that gives free will to Adam and Eve) let people astray and without a god, woke just for the Eula ancestors / Vennessa/ manga thing and again for Durin-Dvalin. He, IMO, as much as I am interested in his possible connection to Kairos/Istaroth/The Moon Sisters/Enka/ThePrimordialOne, is a bad ruler too. Zhongli is probably until now the "best" ruler, although I did not like the way he tested Liyue by faking his death, and so on etc. Although (and- like- I knowwww it's a game!, we are all here very serious because we like the game lol, so I am just doing that) he lived for 6000 years and most of them, at least 2-3k were wars. So, maybe we aside being the players aren't as much as the judges we can be, because he has the right to rest and end as he should. I'm always open to know other reasons / explain mine. I am curious to know what happened to the previous Hydro archon and what this one has to offer (because let's remember only Z and V are the original ones left, that we know today).
@@blujungi I think, legitimately, the only way Ei can make up for all her wrongdoings (visions, deaths etc) is to rule better and make Inazuma a better place. And she has been taking steps towards that. You can't resurrect the dead. But you can honor them by doing better. This is something she acknowledges in her second quest where she says she's been doing wrong by those who sacrificed themselves for Inazuma. If she steps down as ruler, she'd only be running away from what she did.
As a Hu Tao main I really don’t care if someone in coop uses Kokomi to heal me. I would actually appreciate it if someone did that if I was close to dying. I get that she gets more dmg out of her burst when she’s lower in hp but honestly if you have to rely on low hp for your Hu Tao to do good damage maybe she isn’t that well built. My Hu Tao doesn’t have the greatest build but I honestly don’t care about trying to stay low health just to do a little more damage with her ult.
I genuinely find it weird that people think C6 Bennett ruins your account. It's not the Constellation's fault that your big number unga bunga addiction is overdependant on Bennett's Burst to fix your team. As for Fischl, a lot of people hate her cause they think the way she acts is 'cringe'. To those people: You probably think about having sex with some of these fictional characters and think of them as your love partner so you aint better than Fischl pretending to be a princess.
Genshin is a "Pay to Lose" game. If you just focus on a few very strong characters, your account can get very strong, very fast. If you swipe your credit card and wish for every shiny new thing, you will never build a single decent team.
NPC’s aren’t that bad, they won’t be as interesting as characters, but that’s only to be expected. When people find some NPC lore/story they show little care for it and complete disinterest with a majority of NPC’s in general. There are some really good NPC stories out there, and some rather interesting lore involving NPC’s as well. Character Stories that involve NPC’s more than the actual Character are IMO not the worst, the Character is still involved in it in some way, however at the end of the Quest, you have to keep in mind, that it is a Story that we went through, not all Stories will be greatly favorable or all that memorable. The Highs and Lows of a rollercoaster can indeed be Story points, but they are not the only Stories worth mentioning. You will at one point be getting off that rollercoaster and walk around and will probably run into someone else who is also on their rollercoaster, and now you have a Story of theirs to tell.
All world quests should be voiced. Yes, it would take more time to produce them, but it just annoys me so much that the majority of people don't care for them and skip them. At least more people would appreciate the lore that way.
Hot take. Playstyle and personality means so much more to me than the meta. If i don't like a character I ain't pulling for them. If I don't like their playstyle, not pulling for them. Don't care how "meta" they are. They could do the most dmg in the entire game and be the prime for every team but if i don't like their playstyle I am NOT pulling for them. M not gonna sacrifice my comfortablility in a game just for the meta. Goes the otherway too. If I like a characters playstyle don't care how weak the meta says they are I'm gonna pull for em and use them. I let myself decide what characters I use not the meta
I think lore in limited event is okay but only in the sense that we HAVE to have temporary content (because all of it being permanent would make the game too heavy; people are already running out of space to keep up with it as it is) and the temporary content wouldnt be worth playing if everything in it was inconsequential. I think there is a good and bad way to go about it and Genshin has done both. A good way to go about it is like Kazuha's ties to the Raiden Gokaden; we get to know about it with permanent content (his story quest) and they delved into it in more detail with temporary content (Irodori festival). A bad way to go about is like the whole subject 2 tied to Albedo; there's NOTHING about it in permanent content so the moment you miss the event you'll never know.
Yeah, I'd agree with this. Unimportant lore being locked behind temporary events is fine. But worldbuilding lore (like 1.1) or lore that's completely unmentioned anywhere else (like the two albedo events) should be permanent.
Hot take: It’s more fun to keep characters at lower levels late game, because it makes it more challenging and also encourages to try out new Team comps. Also Hu Tao in Coop is my nemesis.
Lisa is really powerful for a 4-star and is probably the most underrated character in the game. She can dish out a lot of damage, especially on quicken and/or hyperbloom teams, while providing a 15% def shred for the whole party to take advantage of.
@@farannazar155 Kuki doesn't give defense shred and doesn't do very much damage on quicken comps. Plus Lisa is WAY more fun to play than Kuki but that's obviously completely subjective. Kuki is a lot better than Lisa in hyperbloom though, for sure.
@@firestorm2459 There are indeed many options, which is most likely the reason Lisa is so underrated. If we didn't have as many options, more people would realise how good she is.
@@epicdarkraifournineone8006 you are literally first person to say she is fun... I meant her hyperbloom and utility even in quicken team is much better cause she doesn't need energy
A lot of people have no idea what constitutes a hot take, and many others very clearly missed the point of various story quests or don’t know enough about the game mechanics to comment on whether a character/element/etc is good or not.
Hoyo made Itto the way he is just to make him a mascot and a clown being all goofy in the events he's presenting..And I love itto but they wont take him out of the "stupid and silly" dude trope.
I think that Paimon being disliked in the western community comes from few things - The cultural difference in how we treat mascot like characters - The annoyance that Paimon takes away the players agency in decision making - The mistranslation in the English version and mishandling a lot of Paimon subtle traits being lost in translation - That the game treats us like children with Paimon explaining things to us 3 times in a row (this one is needed as from being in this community from the start it really seems like a lot of people have reading comprehension of a middle school kid) - That writers expect us to care for Paimon more than we do and to me this is becouse we need more bonding with Paimon (idk something like the voicelines between the traveler and Paimon should play in the open world or some Paimon quests)
i was the one that had the take about genshin gacha at the end and would like to expand on it a bit bc, why not! when i say genshin is fairly generous, i don't necessarily mean freemogems and rewards etc. it's more about the system itself and the quantity of limited banners i've played a good handful of gacha games, many of them fairly popular too, but genshin is the first one I've had where it''s actually possible to get the character you want in under 90 pulls. granted, without guarantee, there's still a 50/50 there, but the fact pity carries over for both character and somewhat weapon banners, which is also a thing i haven't seen in other games, esp with limited gachas, makes it much easier. and secondly, while i do get the demand for more free wishes and all that, and as mostly f2p of course i'd love that too, i think people forget one aspect that commonly comes with lots of free stuff, is LOTS of limited content. i've said this a lot during the anniversary, but imo you can't compare genshin's anniversary rewards with other gacha games that well, when other games, on top of giving more free pulls, also give you more anniversary-only stuff to SPEND them on, be it cards, skins, whichever. genshin on the other hand doesn't have that, we have banners that rerun every now and then, and that's it for the gacha. you get less free pulls, but it's easier to save them for a later time. wow that was long. anyway whoever gets through this, hope you're having a nice day!
This was posted a month ago, but I'd like to add that there aren't any actual incentives to pull for characters other than their looks or playstyles. You can spend all the time you want building a few characters and still use them in the Spiral Abyss for months after. Fuck, I 35-starred current Abyss with freeze Kaeya. FREEZE KAEYA, and the only star lost is because of that damn green nut. "OoO hOnKAI Is sO MucH MoRE GenERoUS!" Yeah, and the characters you get from those free pulls aren't going to be viable in the infinity abyss by the time you finish building them. What's your point?
Why are people forever dunking on the shogun or amy , honestly there are so many underutilized characters that you could of brought attention to. For example , its been 3 years. Letas make Noelle a knight already
Not really a hot take but I dislike most of the ships the fandom has and how they force you to consume it even if you don't like it the, The worst is definitely the mc harem (you know who you are)
the fridge is full and there's nothing to eat, that one is SO accurate. Sometimes I only wanna do story stuff like archon & story quests, sometimes I only wanna do exploration, sometimes only fighting, etc. & then I finish it and I'm like damn nothing left to do even when my quest log is full
This is my opinion on Raiden Shogun, the second-biggest victim of the rushed Inazuma story and 2.1 fiasco The issue with Raiden and the entire Inazuma is presentation, and that is an ongoing issue where writers think they show one thing, but the players get another. The vision hunt decree is at the same time so terrible it looks like something out of the Third Reich with people hiding in others houses, public celebrations, a full-blown rebellion of an unstable province and mental scarring while at the same time we are told that the majority of the population doesn't care as to them its 99 people losing their magic powers. The Sakokou decree on the other hand is limiting resources and trade into inazuma which causes food shortage in watatsumi and other issues, and you are telling me their rebellion is about visions? They have like 2 vision users while they are starving! Not to mention the Orobaxi situation. It's really weird how the raids on villages and destroying shrines is presented as something that stems from the vision hunt decree and not Sakoku decree, it's simply a mess. So these both serious situations are of course the result of Fatui meddling. The writers were so quick to pin the blame onto the Fatui and waste our time with unnecessary story quests and hotpots during this time of war they forgot to develop the resistance, show us history of inazuma, so we can understand Raiden or even show us how would the war help Fatui exactly? its not like the war helps them get the Gnosis, and they are not selling the Delusions for profit either. Maybe to destabilize the country and offer a solution but we are never told or shown what was their plan. No further mention of the war, its effects, or anything until the Fish girls story quest. Than we get Scara first appearance and move to the part they clearly worked on more as starting with Yae training the story gets to the point and moves organically and dynamically and characters are shown doing stuff that makes sense. The confrontation with Raiden than is great, but undermined by bad built up. The story feels like we arrive at Inazuma, see how bad it is, random bullshit go and conclusion. Then at the end there is no pay off for the player as Yae does exposition and tells us how the Gnosis was lost (And we did not see it) we get scaramouche backstory presented in the worst way possible and the main story ends. Instead of having a battle of philosophy backed with valid reasons from our adventure, it looks like we got cheat mode thanks to spooky teppei and visions and tired Raiden out who simply did not have energy to deal with Yae teasing her at this point and prefers to go for some dango instead (also the lack of a prior conversation where we try to change her mind and lose, this felt too easy). I feel like the cutscene was great, but the things that were in the cutscene should also have been built up during the quest line. A mystery of two shoguns sounds pretty cool instead of thoma eating soggy cake. Than we get to the first story quest that to most players at the time felt like a jarring difference and to most it felt like a date with a waifu and not a proper continuation of the story. Most expected a more serious one where Raiden gets some sort of lesson or consequence for her action (which is dumb she is a god no one will hold her responsible among her people) but to the writers the main story finished the conflict despite the stuff that the people should be rebelling for were not removed yet. Us showing Raiden that there is beauty in change is a good continuation of her story, but the form they chose did not fit what happened beforehand. I do like the duel with Kamaji as Raiden is first and foremost a warrior and in her head a duel is the easiest solution, that part I like. What i do enjoy is alluding to the conflict with the puppet in her voice lines, but I would prefer that instead of that her story quest was about her preparing for the confrontation, looking back at how she made it and get more info on Ei and her past and as swell Scaramouche as the first puppet. It took us 4 patches to get the next part of Inazuma's story and to me and many others raidens 2nd story quest is the true ending of the Archon quest as it feels a lot like this is something that was supposed to happen but Inazuma being rushed did not allow for it. The entire story quest for me was great and considering how the community loved it, it fixed most of what people had issues with. The story has two things about it. One is great, the other is weird. The introduction of the leylines and mind is great for the future quests, but the mentions of Istaroth where info about them is not mentioned anywhere in the main story else is weird. Now about Ei, I like her being flawed, I like her failures as a leader. She is flawed and that is what makes her interesting. Ignoring the way the information about her and her life is presented, You can clearly see what sort of person she was and is now. She very much seems like a Sara to Makoto. Makoto was the brain and Ei was the brawn. And Makoto was her pillar and when she died we can see how depended she was on her, for someone who only knew battle to be the gentle and loving leader is impossible. All the deaths led her to shut herself in, very much like a single parent when the other partner dies she closed herself in and neglects her Child, Inazuma in this case. Very human and very emotional and very cool to see. It's cool to see what happens to the world when a god fails it. I like her and I wished more was done to build up her story, so everyone can enjoy her complex mind.
You are absolutely right, and you should say it louder. We could literally delete the first half of Raiden's first story quest and nothing substantial would come of it, except that one Dango Milk merchant going bankrupt or something.
i mean, Amy only does role playing, so that makes her unique as a character. I like Amy, it's very exciting when I hear her saying a whole long sentence and in the end oz just translate it she means only one word. xD
I don't know if it's a hot take, but here it comes: I don't think the Inazuma Archon quest could have been done well considering what the story is (the people rebeling against their ruler) and *where* Hoyoverse is, their creative writing likely got censored to hell and back. A lot of people who complain about and say things that could have been done instead usually sugest things that I doubt would have been allowed
I feel like at this point in time, they were trying to keep the main Archon quest line to 3 Acts. But now we get up to 5 Acts with Sumeru's main quest line. The upcoming nations could still give us 5 Acts or so, and more critical plot lines could give us even more.
basically if more time and freedom were given to the story creation of Genshin, it might be a masterpiece. They definitely seem to have had a lot of good ideas but due to time and censorship constraints, had to get scrapped.
I think part of the issue is that they were developing Inazuma during the height of COVID. If you rewatch the part of the 2.0 Special Program where they talk about the music, they mention how hard it was to get Inazuma's soundtrack made because due to travel restrictions from the pandemic, they were only able to collaborate with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra online, which drastically slowed down the process. Now consider that, during this time, the writers and developers would have all been working from home as well, which would have stunted their communication and collaboration. This very hurdle is why so many games, animations, and similar projects struggled and were even cancelled during the shutdowns. Hoyoverse has a meticulously laid-out schedule for the updates and their content, so in an effort to stay on schedule, they probably did have to rush things when it came to Inazuma.
I like that Genshin is experimenting with different types of characters. It would be boring if Dehya were just another claymore user. Or if Heizou was just another catalyst user. Or if Childe was just another bow user. Or whatever. People can argue all they want about whether a character is "good" or "cracked" or whatever but I'd much prefer something that looks a little different when I play. They're already "locked" into having five weapon types, it's nice seeing them trying to not always stay strictly within the lines of that given weapon.
I cannot play national without a C6 Bennett. Swirling Pyro is so easy and I get to setup forward Vape with Xingqui himsef since he can apply pyro to the enemy due to the infusion. I say that Genshin gacha isnt the best, but I can understand why the topup can be expensive. The characters takes a really long time to get powercreep. You can build X character now and guarantee to still be able to use them till the end. Unlike other gacha games, they give so many pulls and free characters then immediately powercreeps them the next patch. The fact that og characters are still being used today, while some rose from the dead thanks to Dendro, is a proof of this
Hot take: Aloy is actually good. Her not having any constellations is like playing any 4 star character that doesn't have constellations either and she was free from the mail up to some point. I mean I would chose to main solo a free Aloy than solo Gorou, Xinyan, or Dori
I absolutely agree! I waited for her and farmed for her ever since they annouced her. I do have to admit that I'm currently also not playing her but that's because I have a lot of characters to build rn and I can't afford to build her. As a Horizon zero dawn fan I really love how they managed her design in Genshin. Completely underrated
Hot take: I do NOT want every harbinger to be playable, and I hope Signora stays permanently dead. It just…does not make sense to have them all inexplicably get all buddy-buddy, and squeaky clean after some very contrived thing in the story.
Signora is definitely staying dead but chances are we'll get a playable Signora eventually thats an early version before she started the gnosis hunting. A Signora of more happier times.
@@FloatingAmongTheCosmos I think there's the possibility of a playable Signora, since we know that puppets exist, the fatui has access to that technology, and puppets can have their own personalities, as demonstrated by both Shogun and Scaramouche. So it probably won't be the same Signora, or even a past Signora, it'll be a "new" Signora, who'll be different from the old one. That's the only viable way of bringing her back that I can see and agree with.
I want all the harbingers playable because i need to collect them but i don't trust how hoyo will make them playable, i already hate what they did with Scara
@@silent935 I don't want them ALL playable, but I agree with your comment on Scara. I think it's so poorly done for most of them it shouldn't have even happened at all. Childe makes sense. He's a charming trickster who does have a fondness for the traveler until they cross him. Capitano seems to have a level of justice to him that he might be swayed. Pulcinella was shown in the trevail trailer, so...that's pretty good evidence. And maybe a few others like Arlecchino, since we know she has tenuous loyalty to the Tzaritsa. But like....absolutely not on signora. She is a fan favorite for.....2 reasons...and I hate that. She's just coomer bait. Similar thing with scaramouche, and it was handled really badly. I agree that there WAS potential for him to join us. He was conflicted and there was some good in him, but it was NOT played out in a satisfying way.
I despise ayaka. I see people calling nilou boring completely ignoring the fact that she is an exact copy of ayaka in personality. Their only difference and the reason ayaka is liked more is because she had hype and had an actual "good" character story centered around her. I wont say anything on her design but shes really boring. You might disagree saying you like more vanilla characters but there are better vanilla options in the game that are atleast a bit more original that they dont get an exact copy. Not to mention her playstyle is very boring and annoying. The only thing I like about her playstyle is her elemental skill. The burst relies on freeze too much and her charged attacks are the qorst thing about her. In conclusion shenhe or ganyu are the real cryo queens (or others idk but definetely not ayaka).
Hot Take: I am tired of people praising Nahida as Best Archon who actually help us and slandering Venti/ Zhongli (Ei don't count, cause it valid) Look here, Venti straight up lied and Zhongli mouth is sealed because of contract. They want traveler to see the world by their own eyes and perspective. It's far to early for traveler to know the truth especially since the early nation the traveler visit at that time ruled by old Archon, The traveler is also in weak state. Best the two can do is give symbolism. It's like growing a plant. You can't give too much water to the plant or else it will die. It need just a right amount of water to grow
I kinda get the Raiden-Ei one but not quite. She is still very much powerful and intimidating. She literally fought herself for 500 years, splitted an ISLAND in half, battled numerous enemies during the calamity(I might be wrong on this one). I dunno, I still feel her power as a character
Tbf I also think that Genshin in quite generous as a Gacha game. We get so much shit and Primos through everything: Update compensations, Achievements, Chests, Worldquests, Storyquests, Archonquest and soon even more, Anniversarys, Lantern rite etc. I mean, I do have welkin yes, but Just this one version of 3.4 saving Primos I already have enough for 90 wishes. And I lit just saved this version tho-
Kazuha, in terms of lore, is an extremely boring person. His family, friends, and other people associated with his past, are very interesting. But Kazuha is just a plain normal guy surrounded by people more special than him.
My hot takes. Ei, Hu Tao and Zhongli bring 0 value to your account. Ei - If she's stronger than other Electro characters it's not by a lot. Especially because so many Electro characters are great now and can all clear content reliably, like Keqing, Cyno, Fischl, Kuki, Beidou and Miko. Because they can all do what needs to be done, you can litteraly just get the one you prefer playing. Hu Tao - Hyperbloom exists, so single target is automatically alway going to be cleared Zhongli - Xiangling exists and that's pretty much all the resistance to interruption you'll need in majority of teams. Plus the only good thing he provides is the resistance shred but that's not good enough to make him valuable. Especially because he majority of the time only hinders the teams he's in. Edit: Oh yeah, one more. Diona isn't one of the top 4 stars. She get's put on a pedestal because she can both heal and shield in the same time. But she get's so easily replaced by other characters and in a lot pf situations weapons like prototype Amber. She is only used with characters like Ganyu, Ayaka and sometimes Eula precisely because she requires the other Cryo characters to deal so much damage to make her more valid member of a team
I agree with other but raiden E is still the best elemental off field reaction. Any character who can do off field E is A tier. Hu tao is one of the character that cant take adventage of dendro. Her gameplay is only 1 team since release. Pulling her now days kinda wasted.
@@harfi212Only for Hyperbloom, not reactions in general because of it's ICD. And again, Kuki can once more do the same thing and Ei won't be that big of an increase. I'm not saying saying Ei isn't good just that there is no reason to pull her if you don't like her.
@@QIQI983 Good for you. I like Dehya for her defensive utility and synergy with Ganyu (specifically with Ganyu BurnMelt with Nahida) so I will be getting her.
i would love for there to be more politics in the game - like actually in an interesting way. okay hear me out - in yelan’s quest I WANTED TO READ EVERYONE’S MANIFESTO BUT MY DEAR PAIMON SAID OOP I GOT NOTHING FROM THIS PARAGRAPH SO WE WON’T READ IT FURTHER - dude but i want to 😭😭😭😭
My hot take? There is much less important story/world lore locked behind limited time events than we think. I feel we think there's a lot just because FOMO. But I guess then the limited time events with their FOMO did achieve it's purpose of keeping active players XD
I will say that my dislike for Raiden was from the pacing of the Archon Quest, it didn’t help me understand her until her 2nd Story Quest. I don’t dislike her as much as I use to, but god I wish the Inazuma Archon Quest was done better.
@@darkdrac7012 Yeah, Ayato and Hu Tao both have cooking passives that have a chance to produce "suspicious" dishes. Also, Thoma suffers a lot from Ayato giving him strange foods and drinks to try. :"3
@Kira Kotobuki That puts their cooking ability on a hilichur level. And it is more of a chance to make an error in the dish. I think it would be really funny if Raiden could cook after friendship lv 10 but the result is, 100% of the time, a sweet dish instead.
That´s sadly so f true and i hate when they say who cares about Story/lore like it´s a general thing and i´m like it´s okay if you don´t like it but don´t generalize your own Opinion to try to validate it. Legit get a Stroke when they skip threw the Dialog and ask 5min later what the hell is going on and what they need to do.
"a multiple hour quest isnt needed every patch" is SUCH A BAD TAKE TO ME IDK MAN im caught up on main quests and as much as i hated dirge (just bc i dont like the desert) i still enjoyed the lore :0
Healers are the most underrated units in the game. When you say bennett is a good unit, its moreso because of his atk buff and his healing is considered more of a bonus. Kokomi has become one of the best and most versatile characters despite being heavily slandered for not being able to "crit" Kuki Shinobu is one of the best units out there for hyperbloom, very easy to build and her being a healer brings so much flexibility to build around her
Shenhe has Zhonglis Vortex Vanquisher and it fits visually too. I was so sad when I got it years ago but Im so happy with it now :D Also: Some very good takes in my opinion. Well... not counting the Bennett take ;)
My personal Hot Take: Spend Fragile Resin on character and weapon ascension materials, not artifacts. Ascension materials are guaranteed drops while you could spend thousands of resin for a single good artifact. The game gives you enough of these per month that farming artifacts should not be the sole reason you keep them.
I know! I am always so surprised that people actually run out of space in their Artifacts tab/inventory... like how the f do you have that many pieces of things that you don't trade in with the Strong Box or for leveling up the good artifacts or what might be good artifacts
@@SnowxXxAngel Alr I do this, but I have a process. I usually just use 3* and 4* artis for fodder and 5 for strongbox. What I do is keep farming till I get capped with pretty much all 5* artis then do strong box in one fell swoop
I also think that genshin is pretty generous, considering other games may give more wishes, have lower pity, sure, but they also have 50 billion different "characters" (let's be honest they're often just reskins) that are .PNG and not even animated most of the time. genshin on the other hand has 70ish characters, they're all unique, all have they own 3d model, their own skills and spells, their own lore, voices, everything. taking all of that into account, genshin is clearly one of the most generous gacha games.
Lore wise people can dislike characters, but they can be great battle wise. Fischl is a good support, Aloy too, I once hit 100K with her. Ps: I wish my Kazuha is a Dps because I am in love with his game play, I need Bob guidance. 😂
If you compare FGO gacha to Genshin then yeah. Genshin is definitely more generous. What personally irks me about Paimon is that she really doesn't know when she needs to be quiet. I really hope the writers dial it down in the upcoming years.
Every now and then, I see people shit on bow users simply cause they don't know or like how the firing is done. As an Amber and yelan user, and as someone who plays on the phone and PC(both key&mouse and controller), I think that's a pity that people think like that. With enough practice, u can snipe headshot any enemies and do some nice damage, and it feels very rewarding! Ps.i sometimes use aloy for shits and giggles 😃
4:39 Wait how did we gaslight the researcher? She already knew she was wrong, it’s just that she never did anything about it. Nahida only helped her by scaring her a little but it still worked and that ended up being better for the researcher herself too
tbf mind controlling your close acquaintances and using their bodies to wrongly illustrate that everyone believes your innermost insecurities IS textbook gaslighting. Whether or not it's justifiably used.
FR, when she is C0 her Hypercarry team isn't even THAT broken, Raiden national is good but that's it?? only two teams? I get that hyperbloom is good but Kuki is roughly the same but with healing
@@nat6lbg440 true, raiden national is good for single target, but instead of raiden you could have just get childe and it would fill both aoe and single target which hypercarry raiden is good at, which leaves hyperbloom, which she is most of the time better than kuki since yaoyao is a thing and she has a big aoe with low down time on her E
My hot take: I actually enjoy some of the more niche characters that they've been releasing lately. Most of the time that a niche character comes out, it's for a specific mechanic that I really wouldn't have played with otherwise. Granted, I'm lucky to have the financial freedom to nab most characters, but for example; getting Nilou, I was originally really hesitant to use her because of how specific her kit needs to be, especially since Hyperbloom technically outdamages regular bloom in most scenarios. However, having to come up with a team to fit her niche has been a lot of fun and gave me the chance to play with bloom without trying to mash Kuki in the team somewhere! I'm hoping they find ways to make certain mechanics more accessible like that, maybe Burning?

Genshin's lore is PHENOMENAL and I actually like that it's hidden rather than shown, cause you never know when you find a random book and it's a lore bomb drop about some god's past. Also it's fun to find out about random huge lore casually in videos or other sources, I think it makes the game more interesting because you never know the limit of how much lore you can find out. And that's what genshin is, in part: exploring and find out stuff. Which I think it's what makes it interesting.
That's an interesting view on it. I feel like I agree though

And it makes perfect sense IMO
While they're slowly getting the bigger picture about Teyvat and realizing not everything is black or white, they're also slowly edging through the gray area. It's decent character development
Alright well were there any signs of the traveler displaying this? Because I'm one of those people who needs glasses
My hot take. The genshin community has no idea how strong a character can be until 2 patches after release.
Xlice, Zy0x, and Zajef hiding in the back
literally this, when cyno came out and people said he was awful, i was a bit sad, then i tried him out and realised he is the personification of unga bunga mode and extremely fun and strong for single target, only thing he was missing at the time was just better dendro characters (only tighnari collei and traveler out at that point iirc) and what do you know nahida came out and now he feels even more amazing to play, since then i stopped caring about the communities opinions on character strength and just play whatever feels good/fun or fits the team comps im building
My hot take is that kokomi had the potential to be one of the most interesting characters in terms of lore and story quest but they wasted the potential by making that boring story quest of hers , just imagine if the enkanomiya world quest was instead kokomi’s quest and she joined us to our trip to enkanomiya and fought against Enjou with us , it would’ve been a great way to test her gameplay since she works great against pyro lectors + if that was actually the case we could’ve had Patrick seitz phenomenal voice acting for enjou permanent in game :’)
it would've been unfair to give only her story quest that amount of effort though
Ikr, its kinda baffling how the Priestess of Watatsumi Island has less overall screentime than an ordinary Oni
(No hate to Itto, now i gotta run before he beats me down)
Chongyun is a very good character, people hate him because they only spam skills and see number but don’t even care and learn how to work with mechanics
I agree! In fact many 4 stars offer a very big range of gameplay. When you quit being a meta salve you really discover hidden gems with underused characters and Chong is a really good example!
Totally agree, Chongyun is my most built 4* and he does great dmg, also very fun to play.
I love my Chongus, builded him from scratch got him to C6 and i´m actually consider to crown him (Talents are already 9/9/9)
Yeah, I fought Raiden the first time with only 4 stars (excluding traveler) and I’ve been living with 4 stars until I got Keqing but I was honestly praying so :|
Uhmm you mixed the 2 parts. we know the mechanics it's very bare bones
i don't know how much of a hot take this is but i am absolutely terrified by the fact that dottore is probably gonna be redeemed
SAME HERE. I really don't want to see him being redeemed, he's a great villain. But it might happen, unfortunately...
Bro as much as I hate that the possibility is real, I seriously wonder WHAT would be redeemed. Cuz literally there is no good around him- most, if not all, of the lore he has in game is literally him acting like a dick.
I REALLY don't want that either as a dottore fan. I hope it's more of he's neutral with the Travellers or smth. Redeemed dottore scares me 😂
I personally wouldn't mind if it involved a new dotorre iteration.
Lol
hope not, want him to stay evil
my hot take: i want more characters that are similar to others but in different elements. you know how people say alhaitham is dendro keqing? well i want more of that because some things are just fun to do no matter how many times you do it and it means you get more fun options for team comps (this is just me wanting more pyronado but with different elements lol)
LOL that's true
Imagine hydro pyronado, I would be ecstatic
DENDRONADO
@@Shayera01 I was just about to suggest a hydronado! or a geonado? like the wolf-serpent boss, or something! Oooh, or a Cryonado?!
C6 Bennet is not only not bad, it makes him better in a lot of teams you use him in and enables some really really good teams
Bennett C6 makes thundering furry possible so it's great
I can understand how C6 Bennett affects Physical DPS like Eula or Razor, but I don't understand why Ayaka's and Keqing's infusions are overridden unlike other character's.
@@h.4315 C6 Bennett is unironically a buff to Razor thanks to Dendro being Dendro.
Yeah I C6ed my Bennett and I haven't noticed much difference. Even Ayaka who has a missplitter keep in mind is not that bad with...With vapes I can do 12k-20k per hit....Eula is probably the only 5 star that gets "hurt" by C6 Bennett.

Although i think zhongli would've already died of old age by then.
she's connected to the irminsul tho, she can search info there despite the lack of experience

My hot take: The Traveler is underrated. My traveler is mostly phys and they deal pretty good dmg. As for the story, yes. Smth like that, just give them more love as main characters
Gonna take a long time but will definitely happen.

HIna in this way)
I do like Yae Miko as a character and her being a kitsune does entail her mischievous and wicked actions.
Its true he doesn't like it but I don't think he minds it, since at the end of the day he can help people with advice.
@@dankmemer6576 but the thing is - he doesn't know his image is of A waifu girl.. Thats without his consent. And last time Yae Miko teased him about wearing Female clothes HE didn't sound comfortable at all.

My hot take: Is it bad that I am kinda rooting for the Fatui? I mean, I get the idea of the tsaritsa giving absolute peace to teyvat, just their methods are sometimes a little... to extreme (I'm looking at you, Dottore!)
I'd love to see an ending where we side with them to fight the heavenly principles
No i love the fatui, they are the best people in the game
No, it's not bad.
Not all fatui are bad, mind you.
It's kind of like the Joker movie from 2019:
It's due to the gods/archons shitty behaviour, them turning their back on most of the folk, that many people resort to becoming bigoted haters of anything heavenly. We feel sympathy, and that's why we root for the "so called villain"
Nah, I'm definitely rooting for them too
Idk if this is considered a hot take but I actually really like Fischl!
it’s not “recent” dude. that quest came out a year ago
Hoyo can always do something with Dottore's segments to somehow make one of them playable

Childe isn't the villain, he never was.
Zhongli has been the mastermind all along, yet he faces zero to none hate, at all.
I think the hate he gets is overzealous, even when doing it "unironically", it's just annoying, really....
And if you read this far, another hot take:
Raiden Ei is a very disgusting and manic person. She started a whole civil war because she was too childish to face her trauma. Thousands of people died an unnecessary death because of her....
Yet, even tho she was fully aware of what was going on outside, she still did not wish to change a single thing.....
Definitely the character deserving of more hate imp.....
Can I just commend you Bran for the calm, open minded and welcoming tone when it comes to takes in Genshin? Really cool, dude 🙏
My hot take: Battles are not all about damage numbers. I love the reactions or even how a characters attack more than the numbers they put up.
I agree 😔 alot of my favs are 4* and they have hangouts and theyre fun! But I wish we got more
and Kaeya.... y'know the Pirate Treasure one way back in the start after dealing with the four winds' temples...
Guess I’ll add my own hot take: Cyno isn’t worse than Keqing. If u actually compare them in their best teams, they preform very similarly, and Cyno can even clear faster against certain types of content like against S.I.M.O.N for example.
They are literally solo target hyper carry and multi target quick swap chars
How people even compare them..☠️
Anyone else honestly fine with the skin rollout? Like I’m really happy that they actually have thought put into them and aren’t dipping into the Gacha game cliches. (Ex. maid/butler, swimsuit, wedding dress, bunny outfit etc.)
My only issue with it is how slow it is. Like it's taking them months to dish out what some other games I've played put out in one two versions it's unfortunate and reduces my enthusiasm about them
My hot take: Noelle is a good character and those that didn’t wish on her beginners banner missed out playing her early game
Noelle with Redhorn is pretty spicy. Agreed.
This isn't a hot take, it's the objective truth.

The best way to "build pity" is to save up enough.
u can't explain these to impatient players, just let them mald cuz they fked up lmao
You want a hot take? You want a HOT take? Alright, here it is:
I believe that, with one exception that doesn't deserve recognition, the English VAs for this game have done a fantastic job.
But it was kinda stupid with how he was hunting for Scara while he was already working with Dottore
The point is, I really want to see him either dying for Tsaritsa in the fight against us, or the opposite, joining our side and paying the price.
I mean, it wouldn't make sense
My genshin hot take:
HoYo needs to invest in making NPCs unique or at least have a better model. Their models have less polygons than a model from ps2 game and all the accessories look like stickers slapped onto their clothes and skin. Not to mention the reused faces. I see teppei everywhere after he died in the overworld.
"everywhere i look. I see his face"
Disagree.
And so does my phone.
Next thing we know Genshin will be 4tb and only playable on the Ps7.
No thank you.....
Childe is the strongest non-support 5-star at C0 and has always been since 1.1
Based. Easily one of the best dps, but funnily enough its a lot because of his hydro application, which is actually his support capability
Very hot take: people should stop saying nahida squeezed out info from dottore when in reality he was the one who chose to do it for her since she was basically cornered
People say that?
@@silent935 yeah
By creating Nilou Hoyo was basically like: "Well, you guys only use one type of Team anyways, might as well put it into her kit."
And don't tell me that it's not true.
1:47 plot twist, it is the traveler who gets to off him :]
Also, I think that the Scara interlude quest was the start of his redemption arc.

I think this could end up happening in fontaine, nobody likes the new hydro archon anyway 🤷🏾♂️
Hopefully it happens in Fontaine. Although people there really follow the judge system.
IMO it should have happened in Inazuma. Ei isn't at all a good ruler, Lore speaking, it was her sister who handled people and politics. Ei should have given the rule to the Trio commissions, because she still sheltered herself instead of paying respects to the citizens that got killed for her lack of empathy / agreeing to the Vision hunt decree suggested by the Fatui
Maybe, yes, she is indeed still traumatised by her loss, im not arguing that.
She has no fault ever since she was born and ended the Rukkha samsara/ destiny.
> this is now a tangent to my comment to your edit, so I'm just write to pass time hahah-
IMO, Nahida is the purest as she had not done anything wrong yet.
Like the comments before, this feels like it could happen in Fontaine. Reasons for that I wouldn't know but the hunch is definitely there.
Yea I agree, if ur dmg output is low with high hp, it's a skill issue
@@dastergamingwithedz truly a wise words
The only thing that Raiden is truly bad at is her job as an archon.
Hot take: Zhongli's Demo and his theme is kinda overrated
She can dish out a lot of damage, especially on quicken and/or hyperbloom teams, while providing a 15% def shred for the whole party to take advantage of.
but she isn'y fun to play + kuki does this job much better
there are so many options though. But still i agree she is somewhat underrated.
I think that Paimon being disliked in the western community comes from few things
- The cultural difference in how we treat mascot like characters
- The annoyance that Paimon takes away the players agency in decision making
- The mistranslation in the English version and mishandling a lot of Paimon subtle traits being lost in translation
- That the game treats us like children with Paimon explaining things to us 3 times in a row (this one is needed as from being in this community from the start it really seems like a lot of people have reading comprehension of a middle school kid)
- That writers expect us to care for Paimon more than we do and to me this is becouse we need more bonding with Paimon (idk something like the voicelines between the traveler and Paimon should play in the open world or some Paimon quests)
i was the one that had the take about genshin gacha at the end and would like to expand on it a bit bc, why not!
when i say genshin is fairly generous, i don't necessarily mean freemogems and rewards etc. it's more about the system itself and the quantity of limited banners
i've played a good handful of gacha games, many of them fairly popular too, but genshin is the first one I've had where it''s actually possible to get the character you want in under 90 pulls. granted, without guarantee, there's still a 50/50 there, but the fact pity carries over for both character and somewhat weapon banners, which is also a thing i haven't seen in other games, esp with limited gachas, makes it much easier.
and secondly, while i do get the demand for more free wishes and all that, and as mostly f2p of course i'd love that too, i think people forget one aspect that commonly comes with lots of free stuff, is LOTS of limited content.
i've said this a lot during the anniversary, but imo you can't compare genshin's anniversary rewards with other gacha games that well, when other games, on top of giving more free pulls, also give you more anniversary-only stuff to SPEND them on, be it cards, skins, whichever. genshin on the other hand doesn't have that, we have banners that rerun every now and then, and that's it for the gacha. you get less free pulls, but it's easier to save them for a later time.
wow that was long. anyway whoever gets through this, hope you're having a nice day!
This is my opinion on Raiden Shogun, the second-biggest victim of the rushed Inazuma story and 2.1 fiasco
The issue with Raiden and the entire Inazuma is presentation, and that is an ongoing issue where writers think they show one thing, but the players get another.
But they did get in fact rushed tho and I think some writers left while Inazuma was not finished
so it became a literal mess.
I don't think this is a hot take. I think most people agree that Heizou and Dehya punching stuff is cool, as well as Mika using a crossbow.
The fact that og characters are still being used today, while some rose from the dead thanks to Dendro, is a proof of this
I find the repetitive personality trait of being an overworked insomniac annoying, like I get it for like 1 character but multiple is annoying
Hot take:
I do NOT want every harbinger to be playable, and I hope Signora stays permanently dead.
@@FloatingAmongTheCosmos yeah...don't want that. Coomers stay mad, but I think the character in ANY form needs to be locked away forever.
Hot Take: I am tired of people praising Nahida as Best Archon who actually help us and slandering Venti/ Zhongli (Ei don't count, cause it valid)
Look here, Venti straight up lied and Zhongli mouth is sealed because of contract.
BENNY'S ADVENTURE TEAM ASSEMBLE
someone said our boi is useless
If raiden wasn’t hotter than all of these takes she would be one of the most hated characters in the game
Tbf I also think that Genshin in quite generous as a Gacha game. We get so much shit and Primos through everything:
Update compensations, Achievements, Chests, Worldquests, Storyquests, Archonquest and soon even more, Anniversarys, Lantern rite etc.
Hu Tao - Hyperbloom exists, so single target is automatically alway going to be cleared
Zhongli - Xiangling exists and that's pretty much all the resistance to interruption you'll need in majority of teams. Plus the only good thing he provides is the resistance shred but that's not good enough to make him valuable. Especially because he majority of the time only hinders the teams he's in.
Edit:
Oh yeah, one more.
I like zhonghli cause of his shield
If you go by that logic then there's no need to pull for any 5* in the game you can just clear the abyss with the free 4*s
Raiden should not be the only character who can't cook.
Ayato and Hu Tao can't cook, either.
@Kira Kotobuki Really? Since I don't have them I was unable to check, and every can't cook meme in the community is about Raiden.
I think it would be really funny if Raiden could cook after friendship lv 10 but the result is, 100% of the time, a sweet dish instead.
why cant she cook anyway

Healers are the most underrated units in the game.
When you say bennett is a good unit, its moreso because of his atk buff and his healing is considered more of a bonus.
Kokomi has become one of the best and most versatile characters despite being heavily slandered for not being able to "crit"
Kuki Shinobu is one of the best units out there for hyperbloom, very easy to build and her being a healer brings so much flexibility to build around her
UID: 722710671
Shenhe has Zhonglis Vortex Vanquisher and it fits visually too. I was so sad when I got it years ago but Im so happy with it now :D Also: Some very good takes in my opinion. Well... not counting the Bennett take ;)
My personal Hot Take: Spend Fragile Resin on character and weapon ascension materials, not artifacts. Ascension materials are guaranteed drops while you could spend thousands of resin for a single good artifact. The game gives you enough of these per month that farming artifacts should not be the sole reason you keep them.
Not a hot take, that's legit what u should do.
Considering the few amount of times characters told Paimon to shut the hell up, could happen.
I’m hoping the menacing Archon will be in Fontaine as they’re the antagonists at the time. 🤞🏻

My Hottest Take: Raiden is only good as a hyperbloom unit until hyper investment (C2+, R1+, C6 sara)
As someone that has had Fischl in their party since launch, I refuse to believe people hate Fischl no matter how much evidence is thrown at me.
Want to see my level 20 amy that's c5 without anything?
I like to build characters that I want to in the moment because it’s more fun that way.
