CJ They did a news broadcast from the shore this morning with Hogan a bout the new Bay Bridge study and in the background just off shore was a crabbing boat like yours ? Was that you ? They kept moving the camera angle to get the boat out of the background. LOVE THE VIDEO ! GTW !

Im not sure what the rod and feel fishing is like up their, but here in Louisiana its normal for people to fish shallow and deep water. They also fish around crab traps often theirs no rule against it. I just don’t understand why you say its not a good idea.

Yeah our smalls are 5-5.5. I ate the claws after picking the meat. Didn't want to include the claws. Some crabs don't have 2 and was trying to get a good estimate.

It's not a good idea to troll heavy weight in shallow water. It would be fine to cast lure or bottom fish.

So hiw about leave the crabs alone for a yr or so they might get bigger than a thimble
