    what you do is this;
    take a used air chisel bit, saw it off so you have a shank you can weld a 3/8 extension head to.
    weld a short extension to it, so you can put your Phillips bit on it.
    Now, weld a short piece of 3/8 round stock at a 90 degree angle on the base of the sawed off air shank for leverage.
    Now, put the Phillips bit into the screw head and air hammer it while applying moderate torque with your left hand on the 90 degree handle you welded on to back the screw out.
    You have to feel for it to unscrew, don't force it.
    When the screw is ready to go, you will feel it give way.
    Never failed to get the door hinge screws out with this method.
    Give it a try, it's way easier than drilling and ruining the backing plates and making new ones.

    Are you going to do a video for installing the new hinges in the door?
