What about changing the roller pin on which the check arm rides? That’s brutal because it can’t be hammered out. Nice vid!

Thanks so much for the video. This will help me out on my 68 Mustang door on the driver side. Like you said, it will help out and now I know what to expect. Great job!!

Have you done this hinge repair on a 1965/66/67 with a pony interior where there is a door courtesy light? In order take off the door there is an electric 4:11 cable from the body to the door that needs to be removed. I am unsure how easy or difficult it is to disconnect it. Do I have to remove the door panel etc?

Sorry, I haven’t, but I would expect the door panel will need to be removed to get to the connector

Thank you so much I plan on buying all four hinges and pins and such to replace on my 78 nova this upcoming weekend… any advice on putting the door back on? I’m worried I won’t put it on straight or something

Can’t hurt to mark the hinge location with some tape or a marker before disassembly so it can go back in the same spot, although with the new pins the alignment might change a little, but should be minor

wait...why does everyone say you need to take the bumper off to do this if you can just take the door off? or is that just to replace the hinge?

Take the bumper off to do hinge pins??

@@Johnnymidnight He probably meant to say "take the fender off" as is shown in other videos to remove, replace or adjust the hinges. But your method of replacing just the pins is the simplest way I've seen to fix sagging doors. Planning on doing a '68 soon.
