Great video, one easy tip to install the bushings. Get a bolt , nut, 4 washers it will center the bushings as you tighten bolt and nut the 2 washers on each end act like a makeshift bearing surface. Plus reducing the risk of damaging the new bushings.
I rebuilt the hinges on the driver's door 4 years ago. I can't remember if the pins in the rebuild kit had these extra long serrated teeth. Now I have to go and look, lol! Nice burnout at the end!
You did a great job on the hinges and a better job explaining the process of rebuilding them! Keep doing what you do so well and your channel will grow! Big thumbs up!!!!
Hey Barry I have heard you refer to you cut disc as a "zizz wheel" a few times and I wondered if it was a brand or something so I did a search on Google and this is what came up lol. "zizz-wheel Zizz Wheel refers to a woman's ablility to gyrate her pelvis rhythmically in perfect attunement to her lover's thrusts. Hip tilt and "swirl" are other prime examples of this rare and much-sought-after talent." I am not kidding look it up. lol Well you learn something new everyday.
Great videos question not related to this topic. On a 65 Mustang do the headlight buckets and rear quater extensions need a gasket to mate them to fenders and rear quaters?
Ooh pretty. Do I need to make a trip out there and put lights in your cabinet? I have a pile of stuff ready to go in the blasting cabinet and get powdercoated in my micro powdercoating oven. Future project is building another big powdercoating oven for the shop.
so you are using all 3 of your hands to hold the hinge and drive the pin out.. Did you notice you have a vise right next to you. but still a good video as always. keep up the good work.
After pressing in the new pins on the lower hinges, when pivoting the hinge, before the hit the rollers, is it suppose to somewhat stiff with some resistance or loose? I did mine and the driver side came out loose when pivoting but has no play. And the passenger side has some resistance when pivoting the hinge

I also got my set of bushings from cj pony but mine were the hw2948 1965-1968 and are the correct length. Thanks for the tutorial! 👍

There is no gasket on the front that I remember. They had one in the back, but I don't use them.

Lol I was thinking same thing

There can be some resistance. As long as it's not binding, it should be fine. I would rather have slight resistance.
Car hinges are not made of cast iron , cast iron breaks things that are casted steel are different from cast iron
