In addition to the lockers and separate unload/load platforms, WCR always gets the best ops crew. The ops on other coasters at HP can be pretty slow, but the WCR ops are usually very fast. I prefer WCR to Skyrush. In the back wing seats Skyrush gets pretty shaky, and toward the front it's less intense and so less special. WCR is super smooth and still very intense.
It’s kinda fascinating to see how Hershey Park 15 years ago was just another cool amusement park destination that was a quick stop over when you had nothing else to do in the central PA area. Now however it’s become almost an international vacation/enthusiast destination with the introduction of Skyrush, Candymonium, and now WCR.
Yeah it’s definitely one of the best parks in the US to the point where I think it really competes with CP lineup wise. You could make the argument it has the better overall lineup I think.
i finally got out to hersheypark for the first time last year, being basically the first time i went to anything more than a small family park out here in eastern massachusetts. hersheypark and more specifically skyrush/candymonion/WCR are the coasters that made me an enthusiast
It's pretty crazy as a local who was out of the loop for a decade. I grew up on Hershey, Dorney, and Knoebels, and in the late 90s/early 00s Dorney was king. From '09 to '22 I was in college and then too poor to do any parks. Now that I'm back it's nuts just how much Hershey has grown while Dorney has stagnated. Going to Cedar Point in high school was like a religious pilgrimage, but now my home park is basically on the same level and it's fantastic.
I couldn’t agree more!!! Hershey has become a monster of a park over the past 10 years. It’s truly one of the Top 5 best amusement parks for roller coasters in the US!!

I feel with the addition of new restraints on skyrush that skyrush is the best in the park, but this is a very, very close second for me
