This really was faithful recreation from og opening; from through town to subtle transition to model town, with this time around set in night while thunder and lighting giving bit ominous effect to opening.
I went to see this movie on October 7th. As a young fan of the ENTIRE franchise, I can say that it was the best event of the year. During the entire opening intro, the whole theatre literally VIBRATED WITH EVERY SOUND, and here I am, sitting with a huge smile, my heart is pounding, and goosebumps appear on my hands. I've been waiting for this for so long, God... Many thanks to Tim Burton. Without him, there would not be all these wonderful emotions 💚
I came in fresh on opening night, Sept 6th. I had only seen the teaser some months prior and was SO EXCITED THEY MADE ANOTHER ONE. Sitting in the theater during these opening credits, I was beyond excited. What an experience and what an incredible movie. I saw it 6x in theaters lol. Movies need to be this fun always.
Love the pre-empted MacArthur Park vocals (by Donna Summer) at the start with the Geffen logo then transitioning to the BJ theme, the same way day-o is at the start of the first one. The entire opening credits is such a great nostalgia hit 😍

2:36 I know it’s been spoken of here, but I thought I saw everything I needed to look for, but I completely missed this scene with the reference to the Maitland reference. Only thinking of the little toy car station wagon model when Lydia summons Beetlejuice.
