That's a beautiful knife! Bonestag is my favorite cover material from Case. My wife just got me a Case folding hunter in Bonestag for my birthday and I love it!
I just ordered one of these at SMKW moments ago. You got me hooked on sowbellys about a year ago. Thanks!!! I also prefer traditional knives over modern knives, although I own both.
The TB in the model number designates it as, a Tony Bose collaboration designed Case knife. There quite a number of models he worked with Case to bring back the designs Case makes. I am glad to see you like yours.
The Tony Bose Case knives have and elegance that I find very attractive. I don't own many Stockman patterns but I do have that one. I'm finding I like my Bonestag knives as much or more than my stag knives. Bonestag is consistently good while Stag varies greatly. The asymmetry and uniqueness of Bonestag is also very appealing to me.
You definitely got a good one and it’s very nice! I’ve been buying case knives lately and mine have been hit or miss. Great quality knives but you’re right about the gapping. I’ve noticed blade play being a slight issue now too. Love that sowbelly though!
I've only got one Case sowbelly so far, but I want more. Very well made knife. Mine's got red smooth bone and a bomb shield. This bonestag version you've got looks terrific! Thanks for the look at it, buddy!
I was so impressed with your review I decided to take the plunge and purchase one from SMKW. Received it today and upon inspection noticed there was a visible crack in the handle Bonestag material that extended from the left edge of the shield downward to the middle bottom pin and then on to the edge of the stag material. Yikes! Needless to say, this being my first purchase of a new case, I was very disappointed. If I can easily see this defect with my 74-year-old unaided eyeballs, how can a major defect like this be allowed to leave the factory? I am returning the knife for a refund, but I definitely have a case of the Yips now about ordering another.
Knife was packed and padded very well in a nice heavy shopping box. Very dubious thus was done in shipping but I have no way of knowing how it was shipped from factory to dealer. My theory is stress cracks from the assembly thru weakest points: pins holes and shield cutout.
Glad you did the review on this knife. The bone stag is amazing. Great American icon manufacturing. Like you the peachseed is also amazing got a sod buster with it.
Absolutely beautiful I love bonestag My Sowbelly is Jigged Buffalo Horn and also is gorgeous but came with a burr on the cam of the main blade so bad I couldn’t open it until I polished it off Now it works perfectly Thanks for another fine video but I think a knife this expensive is hardly THRIFTY lol
True not an inexpensive knife. That's why I've made it part of the TK Premium series of videos. Futrther details here ruclips.net/video/gB1AwAttUng/видео.html Thanks Terrill.
Case do some outstanding Scales. You do get the urge to buy a few more expensive, maybe more decorative pocket knives. I've been looking into Case's and a couple of Sheffield made Stockmans for a while now. My only hesitation with the Case's are there's no place where I can go and look at them before I buy and mailing back and forth is fairly tedious if you get an unacceptable one (or two). If the Case turned up with the build quality yours has here I'd be more than happy.
This knife lives in a lot of my wish lists on a lot of dealers sites. One day I’ll surely actually buy one. Thanks for checking it out!
It's my first Case sowbelly, and if they are all this good, it won't be my last. Everybody needs a want list! Thanks Bill.

Great quality, they did a really nice burn job, and the simple design of the blades is really nice. Thanks for showing it!
Yea the handles are top notch. Case is great at handles. You're very welcome Jose.

I'm glad you're enjoying the sowbelly pattern. It's such a wonderful design and this is one of my favorites.
A most satisfactory knife, wonderful eye appeal. Bone stag lends itself well to the sowbelly pattern.
I'm pretty proud of this one. A centerpiece for me, for sure. Thanks Hope.
The last 7 Case knives I’ve purchased have all been top notch!
Awesome, so glad to hear. This one sure was. Cheers Stuart.

He will be missed. Thanks for the info Gizmo, I'm into this pattern for sure.

The case sowbelly pattern is really well made and a definite favorite of mine. Thanks for having a look Mike.
nice fit and finish on that knife, very good purchase
Thanks Doug, nice of you to say. This one I'll cherish.
Very nice. The 6.5 Bone Stag is one of my favorite series Case does.
Thanks buddy. Brothers of the 6.5. Bonestag. I need more!

I've made a point to buy them in person or with someone checking them for me. That's worked for me. Cheers Steve, thanks for commenting.
Mine came today!! It's awesome!! Thanks for the recommendation!
You're welcome!! Awesome piece. Top notch. Enjoy it Dean!
That is a beauty and should be at that cost. I couldn't find fault with your example. Thank you sir.
Thanks very much, Hal. Solid build on this one and pre-inspected to be sure.
Fantastic example of this knife. I bought the same one, but the covers on mine aren't as dark, and they're more lighter colored
The 6.5 Bonestag is top notch. Love it. Thanks WV.
Well. Thanks to this video. I just ordered one. It looks awesome!!
It's a pretty spectacular piece of cutlery. Thanks for watching, Dean.
A beautiful example, thanks for the review.
You bet Jeffrey, glad you are enjoying the new premium series reviews.

Sorry to hear that. Depending on how they packaged it (bubble envelope?), cracks can occur en route.

Both handle materials are top notch. Thanks for having a look James, much appreciated.

Just found your channel love it. I collect knives. Love that Case knife, I have a few Case knives in my collection as well as a few RR Knives.
Great to have you here Mike. Welcome!
Beautiful knife............But $ 85.00 worth of beauty ? I just don't know.
Nicely done review.

Excellent points made, JK. i'm fortunate enough to be able to check them in person or occasionally have it checked for me. I couldn't agree more.
that's a beaut TK! I love the bonestag
Me too, one of my favorite handles Case makes.
Nice….I have been telling Santa that I want the yellow cv one for a while now.
That's a nice choice. Maybe this year is the year. Fingers crossed.

Very happy to hear you enjoyed the review. Thanks KJ.

That's a beautiful knife, but I noticed the blades are recurved due to the grinding. Maybe it's just the camera. That will make sharpening a problem.
Slightly yea. Thanks IMO.
There tanks aren’t they?? I love them sowbelly’s see ya soon thrifty!!!!! Stay well
Yes, it's very well built. This thing takes a stockman to the next level, Pete.Take care.
@@ThriftyKaniffy yup it’s a whole other ballgame!!!!!
Man that sure is a beauty!
Thanks very much Steel, I know you were looking forward to this one. I hope you enjoyed the review.
Hey, I'm on a fixed budget. Don't do this to me! Very nice knife.
Ooops sorry RM. I've got other Rough Ryder options for you to explore that won't break the bank.
Dang! You got a nice one there!
Thanks very much. One of my most favoritist piggies in my collection.
What about the blade wobble? That seems to be a real issue many of the case knives I come in contact with these days.
I didn't experience that with this knife. Thanks, Chad.
Is there Blade Rub on your Sowbelly ?
I'd have to go back and look to be sure, did you notice something?
@@ThriftyKaniffy Most of The Case with 3 blades Usually have Blade Rub ...I know most of my Case Stockman do .....
I am going to get an amber/white bone knife and burn it with a soldering iron while holding it with my toes. Boom.
Foot burned bone.🧐
The trick is to survive the effort unscathed. Thanks Alpine.
