The creepy thing wasn’t buying the house but keeping the furniture and using it - especially the beds.
that's even better
80k for that house means those demons gonna have to get used to me. They can leave if they want.
Lol
... we
never felt "hunted"
by
Demons. only in whaT you believe can?
destroy
you
When money is god, the devil doesn't stand a chance! 🤣
I grew up in Toms River. I remember watching some of the filming of this at the house. Saw it in the theater when it was originally released.
"Ah, sod this haunted real estate business. I'm gonna move to Hill Valley and campaign to save the clock tower."
😂😂😂
The lady showing the couple around the house plays her part well. At 4.20 when she is walking down the stairs she is doing her best to give a nice friendly smile while trying to hide the fact what the couple could be in for if they buy the house.
Exactly! It's these details that give the film a touch of class.
She also wants people to save the clock tower in Back to the Future haha.
@@TheDefJamm🤣
@@RAChD1980 Oh thanks for that. I will look out for that scene that you have mentioned when i next watch this film.
You can tell the realtor doesn't want to be in that house as she's trying to rush through the tour.
What is scarier is the realtor must have been in that house by herself because she has to make sure its show ready and lock it up.
0:36 that woman with the glasses was in “Titanic”. She was Ida Strauss (she was real and her and her husband were the co-owners of Macy’s) and her character dies with her husband Isidor Strauss offscreen but they were facing their death while lying in their bed in their stateroom while “Nearer My God To Thee” was playing.
She’s also the “save the clock tower” lady in Back to the Future
@@justinstearns9723 oh yeah I forgot about that
Wow, a nice piece of trivia! She passed in 2020 at 91. She lived a long life.
🍪🙄
She looks like Kathryn Hahn with glasses
the scariest part of this scene was the inflation difference of the house cost
No kidding! This house today is a couple mil easy.
What’s crazier is that a couple years later 70k was the median house price and 24k was the median income. Even with interest rates at 20 percent it was a better deal than today.
@@rickm6076 "Owning" a house in the US is about the same as a prime working life indenture. Most Americans never really own a home, they are essentially leasing it from the bank...until they have medical issues or other debts get 'em. Then, the bank kicks them out of "their" house. Some are lucky enough to lease a home from their local government...but, still, it's about the same thing.
Do you think he would own anything without the state? The state of nature is worse, and that’s why you don’t live in a state of nature.
@@the_gilded_age_phoenix8717 well you own less (and live a shorter life) as a terrestrial mammal in the state of nature, ie without a state. that's why you're not livin in the state of nature right now - you ancestors already tried that. wasn't a good bet.
Houses don't have memories... I don't know about that
They don’t.
Who remember's the woman showing them around from Back to the Future? Save the clock tower! Haha.
Yup. That's her. She was also in Titanic. She was the old woman lying in bed with her husband as the ship was sinking.
This is my opinion, but if the house is haunted, why don't you just burn it down?
For now …ghosts is gone from this house but not far away…maybe one day is back …you burn this house …changed anything ….problems is ghosts 😊
The lesson here, is never buy a house where murders took place in.
Pffffft. It’s a house.
@@jonathanmcvay4499So you’d be willing to move into a house that people were killed in?
@@Wolf_Dominic not only would I but I have. Absolutely nothing has happened.
@@jonathanmcvay4499 Fair enough. But you at least understand why people are superstitious about stuff like that, right?
@@Wolf_Dominic I acknowledge it. I only understand that it’s all in their own heads, but it helps rational people like me get a better deal on a house.
I'd like to think the staircase newel cap being loose is a sign of bad luck and also a reference to A Wonderful life when George Bailey had the same problem.
MGM~ Superr~ you made splendid video-work~all the best-:)
EATASPICYPOOPOO
Awesomeness job
cant wait for MGM + IN JAN 2023
it even comes with a watchpig named jodie
speaking as someone who just closed escrow on a house, it is not as simple as.."I'll take care of the details, just get ready to move!" Also, the real house does not have a charming "gardening hut that can be used as a guest house", and is located on a regular suburban street with two neighboring homes that are so close you can talk through windows at.
I would live there and turn it into a Bed & Breakfast
That's what they did to the Lizzie Borden house in Massachusetts. Killed her parents just like Ronnie Defeo did. Only she used an axe instead of a shotgun.
Hello, I'm Andy, I love horror movies, please if you can upload the full movie, thank you.
I guess thats what real estate agents looked like in the 70s
🤣
She was also in Back To The Future
looks trans to me
@@gaguy1967 😂
Give her blonde hair and remove the glasses, she'd look alot like the one who showed me my house.
Yeah, NOT living there!
People have lived there since, and people still live there now. It’s just that no one else who lived there made up a ghost story for the money.
I always had an open mind about ghosts and the supernatural and haunted homes until my mother-in-law died. After she passed away in hospital we arrived back home and for reasons that i can't explain even today i wouldn't close our bedroom door it had to be wide open at night when we slept. My partner had time off work to organise the funeral and a few days later he went back to work so i was alone in the house for the first time since she had died. About 6.30 in the morning our cat jumped onto the bed and onto the windowsill which woke me and as i was talking to the cat i slowly turned over and my mother-in-law was standing in the door way and she was perfectly still and because it was early in the morning she looked grey along with everything else in the bedroom. My mother-in-law died in 2005 and i still cannot close the bedroom door fully and although i don't have it wide open like before when she appeared i have the door open with a gap of about 4 inches and i still can't explain why.
You be trippin dude
@@MadDog-dn5st I wish i had that excuse, but unfortunately it did happen.
The owner of my house died in the Great Room. I’ve never experienced anything at all but if he’s hanging around, I like to think he appreciates how well I care for the property.
80k? I’ll take it
No way I move into a house after a family was muder there
Superstitious 💩.
That's a real wood burning fire place rite there
They are that rare I have a real wood burning stove in my home.
Margot Kidder sure was a smokeshow.
🤭
"You've got me? Who's got you!??" 😂
A what??
I think Hooterville would be more appealing! After all the Douglas' are good people. Just watch out for Mr Haney!
'' Houses don't have memories ''... What a naive statement, here !
They don’t.
Why is the house in such bad condition, it was only one year later they moved in
Watch the sequel, you'll see lol
80K?!
Demons move over you got new roommates!
The realtor is puffing. Failure to disclose.
This is why I don't stay the Haunted House
🍪
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeah that s very professional what the lady did. They just wanted to make a sale.
the oldest son really knows how to use a shotgun 🤭
In any case, a house where murders have been committed should never be rented or sold, residual negative energies remain impregnated in the walls
How about suicide?
That may be the case but someone lives there today. I just drove by the house today. You’d never know what happened if you didn’t know what happened.
Impregnated on the walls? You're getting me hot. How does that work exactly? What's the science behind these residual energies?
That’s a bunch of 💩.

I've written a screen play for a new Amityville. I finally have a Producer and a Director of substance reading it and they both a really liking it. Hello MGM!??
You aren't going to reach them here. A little heads up, you don't actually need copyright permission to make an Amityville film, the house, the quarter-moon windows, the DeFeo's, Amityville itself, all existed and therefore aren't protected by copyright. MGM owns some of the films, but it doesn't own real life, that's why there are so many Amityville films. Of course, if your ultimate ambition is a studio funded project with wider distribution then I can understand that. But again you'll have to get in touch with them directly, not through RUclips.
@@horrorfanandy4647 Fantastic response. Thanks. The first Director said my screenplay is too vile. I'm on the a second. He likes it! I've one investor who is interested.
@@richardkoon5544 I’m glad to hear it, please don’t let anything I’ve said deter you, I admire the ambition as a fellow writer/filmmaker, you just need to keep working at it and something will come of it. About what I said about the copyright, it’s pretty bulletproof, but obviously check these things beforehand if you decide to pursue a purely independent route, but like I say, most of it cannot be protected by copyright because of the real life nature of the case. Best of luck!
You have just read this comment.
Thank you.
