Pit boss is my go-to Texas Rig bait both for open water unpegged and flipping/pitching. $3 a bag, quality plastics that will last a bunch of fish per bait, and they look amazing in the water. You wont be disappointed. I have a 3700 box and a Flambeau divided long box devoted to only pit bosses.

That specific color of Berkley Pitboss killed the winter bass when my uncle and I went tube fishing in his neighborhood pond, we used a plain Texas rig dragging on bottom and they loved it, caught more from the pond in the middle of January at 30 degrees than we did in June at 80 degrees!

DEEP CREEK LAKE!! Great place to fish!! Back in college my friends and I use to have ball catching largemouth, smallies, and walleye year round. Bills Outdoor on Rt 219 is a great local tackle shop if you need supplies.

DUO is the most unknown / underrated lure in North America. They are saltwater killers. They make the best baits hands down. Good on you for giving them a try. They are just breaking into the north American market. They are well proven in the Mediterranean where lure fishing is super difficult

Threadfin shad are big baitfish in Texas. Make sure you bring something to imitate them. I was on Balstrop last September, fish were blitzing all around the boat and I was throwing a white grub on a Jughead because that was the closest I had!
Oklahoma has some good spots. there's Two nice sized ponds close to my house that are well stocked with bass

The jigging raps work great in summer to for walleyes usually use it in deeper water u have to snap hard each time it hits bottom so just some advice

you should get the spinbait 80 g-fix. it is the same size as the spinbait 80, but they added a gram so that it is easier to throw with baitcasters. Also, I like to reel it in, then let it flutter down (usually getting hit on the flutter or right when I start to reel again), opposed to the commercialized straight retrieve!
You definitely deserve to catch a fish at least or over 10lbs! Good luck!

Unfortunately the bass aren't spawning down here in Texas yet. They are starting to move into early pre spawn tho but the temperature has been so random the fish don't even know what's going on

Those are some good choices you picked. With the Rapala Countdown, that color i always found was great but if you ever get anymore of those baits, i highly recommend the Silver or Gold color of the Countdown. For Soft Plastics, have you ever used the Little Dipper by Reaction Innovations? If not, add a pack of those to your soft plastics collection ^_^. They to have a variety of colors to choose and i found worked best with 1/8 OZ 2/0 Jighead.

I have always had luck with junebug colored creature baits in east texas got a 5 pounder off a brush hog today. So try texas riggin those junebugs. There still pre spawning in east texas less hits bigger fish

You should do a video on how to properly weigh a fish. I am buying that Rapala fish grippers to weigh mine, the white floating ones. I see so many people weighing the fish through their gill plates.
