I will definitely check them out. Love Berkley almost anything. Didn't get to try the dark sleeper much. Maybe I'll check them out pre-spawn on Champlain!
I didn't get to do a straight side by side comparison yet, but some Yamamoto shad shape worms soaked in some BaitFuel will go quick on Lake Champlain! The smallmouth were tearing them up! Definitely noticed I caught a couple of largemouth in the area with the Baitfuel soaked baits as well. I need to get some paca chunks for a comparison to my normal chatterbait trailer. My buddy was telling me about them!
Just what I’ve been told and through som reading: I know this video is a bit old. But, smallmouth like copper colors. Whether it’s fly, spinning or otherwise. If smelliest are the target, keep copper Johns or something similar.
Great content as always🙌
Thanks Mike. Appreciate you as always!
If the Dark Sleepers work out for you, try the Berkley Agent E... Exact same idea, plus a rattle, 2 for the price of a Dark Sleeper.
I live on Lake St Clair, the smallies gobble them up. Just fish them exactly like a jig. Drags and hops. I never had much luck swimming them.

@mrfishblood Thank you for the tips!
We use BaitFuel...but we are definitely biased! Looking forward to your review!
