  • A documentary from around 1988 detailing the poor state of the UK's air traffic control at that time. The very busy London Terminal Area airspace was controlled by an old IBM computer that failed regularly. There were several near misses at this time including one involving Concorde on flight Speedbird 1. Lots of shots of aircraft including various Boeing 747s as well as being an interesting piece of history. The military determined when there'd been a near-miss? And only if a pilot, not a controller, reports it?? Oh. My. Gawd.
