The jackets, shorts and gloves we use are custom made through contacts we have. We are due to order a larger quantity for the rest of our students and maybe at some point produce more so they are available to purchase. If you are in the UK you are welcome to visit and try our stuff out.
As for the mask these are from theknightshop.com. There you can also find shin, knee, elbow and forearm guards and other options for jackets etc.
Motorbike and ice hockey equipment can also be alternatives although not ideal.

Hi, are the staff plastic or polypropylene?

    • @AlexanderGent

Plastic piping. They are a bit on the light side.
We do use polypropylene, however not yet filmed with that. They are a bit more on the heavier side so have to hold back on some strikes.

Thanks for the constructive comment Jim. Perhaps you can come show us the error of our ways? 🤔

Did you ever watch a Kendo fight? Obviously both get hit often ... the first thing you learn in sword fighting, or any fighting with weapons: pray you never have to do it for real, because on both sides the first 3 or 4 battle rows have nearly 100% causalities ... or in other words: to survive a duel you need to be 10 times better than the other one. Just twice as good won't cut it, pun intended.

I have been sparring in a similar style for more than 10 years you will always be hit, the more you practice it will be less but during sparring, you will be hit most probably. People who say they will not be hit are full of bullshit, you can only have a more defensive position but this will not guaranty anything.
