That spline quick release is on backwards!!! I have a sparco spline quick release and you attach the body (purple part) to the steering wheel and the spline (black part) to the hub. When I take it off I pull like a regular quick release. Since the DND one is backwards that's why you have to push.
Very glad you made this video I have a viilante set up and I couldn’t figure it out but dnd and viilante quick release is the same style. Currently driving with the splines in reverse order lol
What kind of person doesn't use a spanner or socket to hold the nut jeeeez! Also from what I could tell the threads are too short to engage in the Nyloc
I want to put a quick release on a 2006 Chevy Silverado 3500 do they make a bolt on kit there’s no cruise control no buttons no controls no nothing other than the airbag in the horn somebody please help me out

the reason they did that is so that you can use it with a nrg short hub good eye tho
Drift Geek ahhh got it dude 👍
so in other words you fucked up and your too man to admit it . cheers
@@hablah5108 we didn't mess up that's how DND designed it to go in so it can fit any short hub.
@@hablah5108 I explain all this in the video.
i like how ur hydro ebrake sits in the dash and comes out

Bruh me too . I was wondering why my steering wheel had play
Don't stop the music tonight
Car looks sick
Man really chose the best song from initial d to do a montage
Did it come out good?
@@DriftGeek yes sir
And regardless you can run a horn on a switch.
you install it wrong or backwards. you supposed to pull not push i got the same one on my car
he did that so it would fit the NRG hub, ive got the same quick release off of amazon for like 35 dollars. but yeah i noticed that too lol
DND guys has a video and they did it this way.
like this vid and subscribed you ! nice work
Fitted it back to front dude, purple part goes on the wheel 🙄😩
It's put on this way to be able to bolt on to any short hub.
you're installing that piece backwards
@@vladimirmendez6445 dude can you read?
@@pugestpug5879 but why just take off the hub it’s nonsense
@@joeycasale3159 because if you don’t have a hub you can’t install a quick release or aftermarket wheel unless it’s got a center nut
You put it on backwards. Your suppose to pull to release not push. You have the wrong type of hub for that style quick release
This question has been answered numerous times in the comments. It was installed correctly.
Link to where u got ur stuff

all you would need is find a hub specific to your vehicle and at that point you can pretty much bolt on any aftermarket steering wheel on it.
*Eurobeat* ❤
Gotta love that Eurobeat!!!
Forever sketch about the lack of a horn... Is there a way to hook up a horn on a low-profile button? I’d be putting this QR on my daily😅
Of course you can hook up the horn to work with a button but this was our track car so didn't need a horn.
Nice vid. Compared to stock, i assume the quick release puts the wheel closer to you?
its a combination of the size of the hub quick release and the wheel you are using
why did you remove the old quick relese? The old on had a horn right? So why change?
i never had a horn on the car.
I have installed this quick release on my car, just want to know how secure is this. I want your opinion as a drifter
it feels solid and strong no issues what so ever i love it
Hey i just ordered the same wheel and quick release can you send me a link for the hub? Didnt realize i needed it till now
dm me on facebook or IG and i can get you a hub.
Isn't it installed backwards?
No it is not. I explain in the video dnd designed it this way to be compatible with other short hubs.
@@DriftGeek ah okay
What hydro is that? Just got an ASD for cheap but I’ve been looking for that lever type. Brand?
It's a powered by max hydro
you put the quick realese on the wrong side... the black part should sit on the hub and the purple part should be tied on to the wheel
DND made it this way so it can fit on pretty much any hub.
@@DriftGeek ait, thats smart but harder to get of, i think still good vid
@@robinchestersson4213 it was a major inconvenience I ran it like that for years. Appreciate the love.
@@DriftGeek always man 👍
you put it on backwards. the purple piece goes on the steering wheel.
we run it this way so it can fit with a nrg short hub
Just wonder what shift knob is that?
It's a Poweredbymax
does it warble?
Do I need the adapter price to install that?
What piece are you exactly talking about?
Couldnt you flip it around so you pull not push
if you do it wont fit with the nrg short hub
and the horn funcionality?
Did you watch the video?
0:41
i cant see in the video when do you turn on the horn
if you use this quick release you wont have a horn
is there any play in the quick release?
zero play
Does this quick release kit fit any car
The quick release bolts on to the hub. So you just need a hub that is for your car and bolt this to it.
Drift Geek thanks papa geek
HAHAHAHA If u have done it rigth on this video than i have mounted my quick release on the wrong way :P works both ways tho XD
Daily Drifting we mount it this way so it can fit with a NRG short Hub.
Where is the fcking „DINGGG“ ?!
How you gonna put it on there backwards 🤣🤣
Its mounted this way to be able to bolt on to a NRG short hub.
What about horn?... And it is backwards. DND simply copied sparco and tried to make it different but made it arse way😂
Don't need the horn when its strictly a track car.
