This is masterful comedic improv by Jayne and Mickey. Jayne knew her stuff (as did Mickey). Hard-working and talented single mom just happened to be the hottest female to ever walk the planet (1957-1961). Jayne got blacklisted by producers when she married Mr. Hargitay and started rejecting their casting couch procedures. Despite being robbed of any decent film rolls, she self-promoted, did her thing, and stayed iconic.
Her only talent, was to imitate Marilyn, and not only for this parody... And she was supposed to be so smart! What a glorius career...! Amazing what high intelligence can make you do..!
Jayne was truly stunning and talented. And today I still see her characteristics echoed in her beautiful daughter Mariska. Her ending was so tragic. Great to see her so full of life and having a good time with Rooney.
Jayne was a parody, and she worked at it. Many people think Jayne was a poor man’s Monroe. But the former was playing the part of a blonde bombshell, epitomised by the latter. Art imitating life.
So sad to think they are all gone now. I love watching them and to remember how great they all were. We all know how they died and you watch them and I’m so glad they couldn’t see their own demise. RIP one and all! 😢
Are you going to hell ! That is because that is where Ronald McDonald Reasan is at . Your other but buddy Diaper Don will be there also . Can you tell me how you can get past the smell from Diaper Don ? PLEASE .
Jayne, Mickey, and Ronald were doing a throwback to American burlesque theater, a once popular form of entertainment. In the late 1930s, burlesque shows would have up to six strippers supported by one or two comics and a master of ceremonies. Comics who appeared in burlesque early in their careers included Fanny Brice, Mae West, Eddie Cantor, Abbott and Costello, W. C. Fields, Jackie Gleason, Danny Thomas, Al Jolson, Bert Lahr, Phil Silvers, Sid Caesar, Danny Kaye, Red Skelton and Sophie Tucker. Star strippers included Sally Rand, Gypsy Rose Lee, Tempest Storm, Lili St. Cyr, Blaze Starr, Ann Corio, and Margie Hart, who was celebrated enough to be mentioned in song lyrics by Lorenz Hart and Cole Porter.
I wonder if they dug up this old film when President Reagan was running for office ? From what I read about Mickey Rooney and Ava Gardner among his other wives this scene was right up his alley , so to speak .
Not even in death can they get any respect for who they were as human beings - and both were punished because they wouldn't submit to the casting couch. They were forced to act this way because they would starve if they didn't pander to the men like trained monkeys to put food on the table. Why not compare them for their smoking genius IQ's and values? (Albert Einstein: 160... Marilyn: 165, and Mansfield: 149). Why not compare their intelligence and the fact that no studio head would let them shine - men are stuck on 'hair dye and tits'. They both stand alone in their values, intelligence, talent, and huge hearts - both magnificent human beings - comparing Mansfield and Monroe is like comparing Leonardo and Michaelangelo. I think they both would have survived if they had been given real parts to use their amazing acting abilities. It drives me nuts when men can't see past their breasts and hair... do their brains fall off, or WHAT?
no, it's the other way around.....in your time view it's Mansfield who's imitating Smith...how could she? Well, guess I'm just being picky, but we know what you mean...
She brought her own Golden Globes
😂😂😂😂😂👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Jack Paar introducing Jayne on the Tonight Show: "Ladies and gentlemen, here they are, Jayne Mansfield."
That intro was written by Dick Cavett.
🏀🏀
Jayne had a real good sense of humor lol
I love how she brings him closer to her.
So much more personality than Miserable Monroe
@@Iceis_Phoenixbut still a parody 💀

The dress strap was perfect timing
They're having so much fun, it's great
You are referring to Ms. Mansfield's boobs?
Jayne was truly stunning and talented. And today I still see her characteristics echoed in her beautiful daughter Mariska. Her ending was so tragic. Great to see her so full of life and having a good time with Rooney.
She was very intelligent. Many don't know but she spoke five languages and knew how to play numerous musical instruments. She also loved animals.
It is said that Jayne Mansfield had a higher IQ than Einstein. Don't judge a book by its cover. Nevertheless, what a cover !!!
Puppies?
I have to believe that the whole thing must have been incredibly irritating to her. I guess it's a living but it had to have been wearing.
@@amb7440
And you'd be guessing wrong.
@@seeharvester Okay - I could be!
Golden globes indeed
IT WILL NEVER BE THIS GOOD AGAIN , WHAT A FREAKING SHAME !!!!!!!!
The one and only Jaynie Mansfield!! I just love her!
Yes much better than Monroe
Jayne was a parody, and she worked at it. Many people think Jayne was a poor man’s Monroe. But the former was playing the part of a blonde bombshell, epitomised by the latter. Art imitating life.
Very true she had a very high IQ.
Yesssssss
Jane Mansfield
She was smart 🤓 she was not a bimbo as some thought 🤔 of her
@@MikeScott-ez7iw Here's a fun fact: She was a member of the Manhattan Project.
@@jamesanthony5681She was born in 1933 or '34, so was a child during that Project.
I always thought Jayne was before Marilyn, but not so. Marilyn was born in 1926, Jayne in 1933.
Marilyn's was such a tragic tale....
🎶The Girl Can’t Help It!🎶👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿😂
I’m positive it was his endless charm, confidence, libido and humor that made a lot of the ladies fond of Mickey !

Mickey Rooney & Jayne Mansfield: The biggest trio in Hollywood in 1961.
They both were so funny
Jayne Mansfield..."The Girl Can't Help It."
She was a beauty!

Mickey Rooney: "Thank you Mr President..."
Ronald Regan: "See me in 20 years pal!"
At the time Reagan was president of the Screen Actors Guild.

A beautiful woman... dear Lord!

Didn't this happen with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson?

Great times. Uau Jayne, what woman is this!!!
OUTSTANDING!!!!!
This is brilliant!
Make a rainy definitely set a mouthful
Poor Mickey is desperately averting his eyes 👀
When America was Normal and American
Who wants to be tall! 😂😂😂
They say Mr.Rooney was small in stature, but was hung like a German field marshal.
🥰the Girl can't help it!
Where Anna Nicole got her act
Lovely
Ronald Reagan to Jayne: "Well, there *THEY* go again."
Jayne was a Great Actor and her Daughter Mariska Hargitay on Law and Order Takes after Her Mother.
Yeah, she surely brought her own golden globes 😊.
To be the stature of Mickey Rooney and have made it in Hollywood is a great thing by itself.
he started out as a child star
God! Make America Great Again!!
MM and Jayne Mansfield were always being compared.
Who wants to be tall?
Me... I'm only 5’10”
Some short women that I know
There's gold in them thar hills.
The last thing I saw was Jayne Mansfield.
I wonder if they dug up this old film when President Reagan was running for office ? From what I read about Mickey Rooney and Ava Gardner among his other wives this scene was right up his alley , so to speak .
Jayne artfully worked the room and knew how to make sure that all eyes, were on her.
Very smart woman 😉
So funny.
Yeh man.....
It certainly was for Mickey. He got two of them.
MICKEY WANNA MOTORBOATING EXPERIENCE !!!!!! LOL
Oh my god! What a woman!
Who wants to be tall? I'm gonna remember that line.
This was considered risque for 1961. I don't think it was ever broadcast on TV .

I bet there is not a lot of '2nd dates' in your life. lol, Calm down honey, its not that serious.....
hair dye and tits......?
she was funny as hell for sure
He must have been blinded by her headlights!
They don't make 'em like that anymore.
I like when Mickey called Reagan Mr. PRESIDENT.
This is one of my main reasons why I like tall women
Ronald Reagan was speechless for the first time
Reagan could have used a better line. “For those of you who didn’t notice, the great Mickey Rooney was here on the stage.”
Mickey wanted so bad to ride the Magic Mountain's!
That’s when we had fun!! Today: Why so serious?!!!
She's in on the joke .... just my opinion 😊
" what a show " ( jayne mansfield puppies ) laugh 😃
This is Anna Nicole Smith and Danny DeVito in Be Cool lol 😁😁😁
No plastic, just a beautiful woman. Are u watching khardasians?
¡Que pedazo de mujer.!.
Mickey was clever and so was jayne
I read in IMDB a noted actress said : You have to be smart to play a dumb blonde !
Her daughter Mariska looks just like her !!!
Not really, IMHO!
Mario Moreno sure missed out that day!
'Who wants to be tall?' (Not Mickey Rooney at that moment.)
The Anna Nicole Smith of her time 😂
no, it's the other way around.....in your time view it's Mansfield who's imitating Smith...how could she? Well, guess I'm just being picky, but we know what you mean...
Smith had no talent. Jayne was a trained Shakespearean actor.
Let’s not forget, ladies. She was married to Mr. universe that’s right a real man.!!!!!!
And when she walks places shake like jello.
How did Mick miss marrying her??
One of his 8 wives last name started with M so he probably was working the alphabet
To use a phrase, Mickey is milking this bit.
Lucky Kennedy
Показать Монро может только сама Монро. Все попытки это сделать, даже комедийно, нелепы. 1961 год. Монро ещё жива. Это что? Травля?
What a shame cantinflas was not actually present.
