I know that Zach said that the show isn’t as profitable as without a recipe, but I truly love it so much more, especially since we get Jonny every week. He may not win reality food competitions that much, but he’s a winner to me!
I honestly think once the audience buys into it it will do just as well if not better. Without a recipe has been around a lot longer and has the advantage that way.

It's becoming and ensemble cast with still our clear main 3 characters, and I'm here for it. Would still like to see all 3 be in an episode/video together but doing it this way makes Ned's absence less jarringly apparent.

I like how Jennifer kept hanging up on Keith...not sure she understood her assignment that well, but given their limited time it certainly made it hilarious she almost couldn't stand to be on call with Keith😂 the chefs & judges are great at comedy
The first time she did I wondered if she understood but when she hung up an extra second early when she ran out of quarters I died
To be fair, the things Keith was saying were kind of outrageous, not problematic per se, but statements that would make a professional smack their forehead in exasperation.
I was right there with her: “really? You believe THAT stereotype/misconception?” Walking away was an understandable response, though not ideal given the circumstances.

I’ll never get tired of the contestants (mostly Jonny) discovering that one of the judges is an expert at making the thing they ATTEMPTED to make. That and the chefs having to defend the crazy choices the bakers make- so fucking entertaining 😂
There’s probably a lot more to it, but part of me wonders if they do that deliberately to fuck with the chefs. Like, we know the chefs submit a planned recipe beforehand, so maybe they’re able to get particular judges for particular episodes based on what the chefs have planned.
Jonny finally winning with Kwesi who probably has the least amount of cooking experience is wholesome. FINALLY JONNY!!! Congrats!
