Jonny was REALLY smart about how he spoke to Zach in this one. He threw out all convention and asked Zach what HE called things, and then came to him on his level. Loved it!

Johnny’s ability to work with Zach is honestly so impressive. That’s not me saying that Zach seems difficult to work with, but rather Johnny’s asking Zach what he calls certain mixes and referring to them by Zach’s names from then on and double checking with him to make sure he didn’t grab salt instead of sugar and things like that. That’s an excellent way to teach someone and guide someone and I just think it’s very impressive he’s able to pull that off and have the patience for it.
I would LOVE to see Keith's and Zach's parents/grandparents be the ones on the payphones trying to instruct them to make family recipes. I'm looking forward to more 'Phoning It In' videos!

I know this is an old comment but a Michelin Star is awarded to a restaurant not a chef. So it's a misconception when people say michelin-starred chef. When the chef leaves, the award stays with the restaurant and they don't bring it to their next employment

Black forest cake would acually be perfect for Eugene, because the traditional identifying ingredient is cherry schnapps. It is literally a recipe MADE for Eugene. Bake cake, dredge in schnapps, put schnapps in cream, dunk cherries in schnapps, add cherries to cake, serve. The recipe in the video is literally just a devil's food cake with cherry decoration. Not what it's supposed to be.

I’ll always live without a recipe, but this is the next level. Getting the chefs to plug their dish before they’ve even seen it is the (proverbial AND literal!) icing on the cake. I genuinely cracked up.

I love this series. I love the devastated look of the professionals after they saw the result from their "students". I want to see more of these too. Not just food but like sewing, building, etc. All the sorts of stuff they never tried before.

Flip the couples around, too. Watching Becky try to wrangle Zach while Maggie and Keith methodically work together would be hilarious
I’m so sad Eugene wasn’t here to witness Zach being called a size queen but am utterly delighted this brilliant and hilarious concept is continuing. Also I swear the quality of the competition videos is getting more and more impressive!!
When this series hits the end of the first season, they should do a reaction video from the other try guys and the chefs who were on the show watching the Keith and Zach scenes
