I recall your video emphasizing musicality over range being the hardest to acquire. That is so very true. You can have a toolbox of abilities when it comes to singing, but if you can’t feel the music by adding your unique notes then it doesn’t set you apart. I’m still working on stability, stamina, control, & support. The latter is my vice. The tone surprisingly comes naturally if I don’t force a darkened sound to sound heavier as I have a natural light & bright voice.

Hi Phil, I've been watching your old videos for improving chest voice and I need some help! When I try to sing a G4, the vowel at the beginning notes are good but as I go higher the vowel either gets narrower, or if I make sure my larynx doesn't go up I sound strainy and sometimes even flat... my voice doesnt sound relaxed at all.
This. I cannot stress enough how much i improved after studying for specific song I choose. Otherwise I wasn't sure if the problem is my pitch, volume or tone, without a song it was too vague for me to detect/study. (It was my volume tho most of the time, when you think its enough, its generally not). Thanks for the video Phil. (also you look a lot like a character Flynn Rider imo)
