This episode explains to me why the friendship between Max and Armand always feels special to me. Throughout all the filming for the past year, there's always this feeling that they cherished the time spent together, and now I know why. Armand is always looking at Max for his reactions and responses, and Max initially feels abit awkward but gradually warms up more in front of the camera. Their friendship is beautiful.
I can picture Armand and Max doing their own show, touring around the world for food and culture. I think they should consider going on that route career wise because they're incredibly good and their chemistry is chef's kiss.

@@alptugtatli46 i agree with you. Everyone said “go make your own channel” or “they should be on youtube”. But they just graduated from high school and they have dreams to achieve.
What Ollie said actually brought tears to my eyes. Imagine if when you were 18 and someone showed you such appreciation and respect. Huge thanks to the KE team and everyone involved in this series. This is pure joy 🥰
So true.i think he expressed how we all feel.i have so much love for these young men ,they are so full of excitement and enthusiasm ..they are going to be amazing adults and experiences like this will only make them into more adventurous and involved adults..a cultural exchange like this really lifts your understanding of other countries and cultures and will create far more understanding and involved adults.. Thank you on behalf of us all for making the world a better place!!
Ollie loves to goof around, but I've noticed a few sincere moments here and there on other videos. That man can put a sentence together and tug on your heart strings.
This isn’t just for entertainment. This is for real. These are real people living life and making meaningful memories … and we just get to come along for the ride and watch it happen. This is why these two are the best content creators on youtube bar none.
It's moments like Armand talking about how important his friendship with Max, and Max talking about his appreciation of korean culture, that makes me so grateful you listened to us Josh & Olly and took the boys to Korea. Watching them all grow, blossom and become great young men whilst genuinely enjoying such an intense experience has made the best Korea series you guys have produced
Man, this is by far the most emotional episode. Hearing Max and Armand talk about their friendship was just ... beautiful. You've really pulled this off well, Josh, you deserve all the compliments you got from them. Absolutely amazing.
I live vicariously through all the students friendship, especially a long one like Armand and max. A friendship like that is so so rare. You can befriend someone for 10 years and it can be a bad friendship… but for them it is a long bond that is good and supportive.
Folks in the U.K. should be so proud to have young men like this representing their country. Nothing but class, wit and grace from these fellas. I really think I could watch them do anything and enjoy their reactions. To Josh and Ollie, thanks so much for being two of the coolest blokes out there and for sharing these kids and these experiences with us. Much love from the Great White North.
I love their interactions with the korean people, whether it's the ahjumma scolding the boys (them not understanding but knowing they are being scolded, lol), to where the waiter told them the chef was happy because they ate the whole dish which most foreigners don't do. I wish that this series would last a lot longer, the boys are soooo enjoyable!
Max was like not moving coz he doesn’t want to get told off but then Armand is so excited and playful he got scolded 😂 sometimes they get reversed on who is playful or not... I just love them
We’ve been learning new things about Max; he’s part Indian, he used to live in the states and actually had an American accent, what else is there about this little guy we don’t know about >

Max and Armand's love is so pure. Just like Josh and Ollie. And yhey have no issues expressing their affection for each other. I love watching genuine wholesome male relationships. A+ to this channel
Max being not only Indian but American as well is the revelation of the episode 😆 This is probably my favourite episode of the trip so far - heartfelt conversations, having refined traditional food in hanbok and their usual hilarious jokes especially them comparing themselves to Josh and Ollie. Can’t wait to see the other boys’ special episodes too!
Max and Armand are just like younger Josh and Ollie. Their frienship is so geniuine and they are so entertaining to watch, hope we get to see more of them! Best to you guys
I feel so incredibly blessed that this was shown to us on the internet. Being able to watch these boys grow and experience a culture completely different than their own has been so heartwarming.
The way that woman was strict and the boys just wanted to play around, it gave me grandma and annoying grandsons vibes, I wasn’t expecting that but it was hilarious!
that's what I thought too but in translating most of the Korean comments on here it seems the general consensus is that they think she was over reacting and being unnecessarily rude...I suppose they could pick up on a tone we couldn't.
@@mrod3202 Nah I can see that, like it seemed so inconvenient for her to get what Josh asked for HOWEVER I'm sure the kids and the crew were being good sports so I was just being optimistic and don't want to have that old woman get canceled lol
It's too bad they don't read the English comments and see that it isn't a big deal. We have aunties like her, too, tough with big hearts. It's nice to see people like her in Korea! Plus, the KE Team wouldn't have included that clip in the video unless they thought it was wholesome; clearly many Koreans viewed it differently.
These boys are absolutely eloquent with their heartfelt words. I can really feel the genuine gratitude they had for Josh and Ollie for bringing them to Korea. It's absolutely beautiful. Here to wishing all the boys for a bright and safe future ahead of them.
I'm not crying, you're crying. Armand's expression of gratitude was so heartfelt. All of the boys have said how much they've appreciated all of the experiences, but Armand was so articulate, it brought tears to my eyes. Then listening to Ollie really making sure they knew how much all of the high schoolers have meant to them was great too. I really like the backstories of how they met. I'm hoping we can hear the others tell how they became friends and what all of their plans are for the upcoming year. (I think we heard Armand is going to Cambridge?) This was a great episode. I really enjoyed it a lot. Will be watching it over and over again as usual.
Honestly, if anybody could take over the Korean Englishman and Jolly channel. It would be Armand and Max. They are almost like the splitting image of Josh and Olly
As an asian born and living in the UK. I'm pleasantly surprised how open minded all the lads were and their total embracement of new culture and food. Not what I expected at all. Well done.
I know, it's very refreshing how they are willing to try everything. It's rare, most of my friends during high school would drown white rice in soy sauce or dump sugar into the complimentary tea at a restaurant. As an adult, I still encounter people like that but they tend to be people who have little exposure to other cultures. I still remember an adult friend/co-worker tell me to my face about what she thought about Chinese soup being just water (slow cooked broth ) and why dishes are usually covered in thick sauce which she thought was unpalatable. I kept my mouth shut, she is still a friend and is a nice person otherwise but while I am happy to try her traditional Indian cooking, I will never invite her to restaurants of other cultures because I worry she will be rude about the food.
The moment Max and Armand is saying thank you to josh and the whole team and saying they will cherish all the experiences they had the whole trip is so heartwarming that it made me also teared up a little 🤧🥹 . That moment paid all the hard work of josh , ollie and the whole team ❤️ How I wish this series will not end we want to see more of these young men ❤️
Max is so adorable, him getting scolded by the Hanbok dressmaker was just too funny. Armand and Max's bromance is so much like Josh and Ollie's. Their friendship will last a lifetime. I couldn't totally see them being the best men at each other's wedding.
In the second half of the video, there was a heart-warming conversation. I hope all these students make a lot of good memories in Korea and go home and tell their families about their experiences in Korea. It was great to see these lovely young students grow up for a year!
I like this lady who was putting on the hanbox, tired of seeing tourist disrespect and act like idiots in their cultural clothes. She was teaching them how to respect the clothes :)
Oh agreed! I really enjoyed that she was truthful and was candid. I think she treated the boys like sons. Scolding them and whatnot. When she laughed when Armand apologized in Korean, I found it so adorable lol. Reminds me of my grandma 😂😂😂
My favorite moments are when the boys have a big wave of gratitude for what Josh and Ollie have brought to their lives. Can see Josh trying to minimize the emotional moment so he doesn't get choked up himself. I see how much it means Josh, and I know it's hard to live in those praise moments, but be a good lad and just let it soak in for a heartbeat or two. Not every second of filming has to have words in it. Sweet silence can sometimes convey more...
I was on the verge of tears when they were getting all sentimental, and then Josh left the two boys to figure out the rest of the meal on their own and I couldn’t stop laughing 😂 what an emotional rollercoaster that was 😂
@@EVERYDODAMIES this honestly stressed me out 😅😂 you can see at the end of the video one bowl wasn’t finished (probably Max’s) while the other bowl was entirely consumed (probably Armand’s) 😂

Friendship like this is once in a life time, truly. I hope you guys continue to go on so many more wonderful adventures in the future. Best of luck in uni and everything you do going forward you guys!!
When Josh left Armand and Max, the boys really embodied that JOLLY vibe (Armand -> Josh , Max -> Olly) and you can tell that they are going to go far in life and have that friendship with them. I truly hope we'll see all of the kids in more videos in the future and maybe even in the Jolly channel.
I love that you filmed separate episodes that catered to the boys' interests. It allows you to showcase more of Korea, while also personalizing a part of the trip for them! Ollie's speech was so unexpected, but so heartfelt.
It's wonderful seeing and hearing young and grown men genuinely expressing gratitude and appreciation towards each other! These are the kind of people this world needs to be filled with more. ❤️
It’s so bittersweet seeing Max and Armand are getting closer together over this trip but knowing that they’ll be going to university in the next few months and separating again. I hope this trip solidifies the friendship of all the guys because these are memories they’ll keep for life.
First of all, I am so happy to see them wearing the REAL traditional hanbok, not the ones that the rental shops changed into a weird way. Secondly, I appreciate Josh to introduce them a nice 한정식 place, instead of casual 단짠 dining. 아이들이 진짜 전통문화를 체험할 수 있게 해주셔서 고맙습니다

Since they're from a boy's school I'm assuming it's expensive so they most likely come from wealthier families than most kids. I love this program and the boys, they are all so courteous.

@@kehlmukair6562 Media really is essential in shaping our interest in a country. I'd watched the Korean show Running Man when I was a teen (2010-2014) and since then I'd always wanted to live in Korea for a few months. Finally did it in 2019, and I regret nothing, best time of my life. Same for Japan. When I lived in Japan in 2015 and 2019, so many foreigners I met there (including me) had their initial Japan-interest spark because of Japanese TV/anime, games, or music.
I love the idea of taking the students in smaller units/pairs and having unique experiences with them. This is so smart and makes this series even more interesting. Thanks for thinking to do this and providing such a great education for your audience that is so curious about Korean culture and food.
I just keep coming back to the Armax vid.. 6:57 so adorable how Max stares at Armand as he was telling their story. Josh is 100% right.. so much bromance! truly like an old couple 😁🥰
This series with these young men, all of them, living their best life in Korea has been a learning experience for them and for us. They’ve taught us not only tolerance and acceptance of other cultures without prejudice or bias but also friendship. They did it in a fun, smart, intelligent , enjoyable, respectful and honest way. As a Frenchman, Armand is really appreciative of other cuisine and really immerse himself into the flavours. Max on the other hand is very open with the whole new culture, food being part of it. Good men.
Max mentioned in a previous video his grandmother is Indian and he eats a lot of Indian food at home so I think he's somewhat comfortable with non-Western flavors. Not to take away from your comment - I think all of the boys have been really open and had respectful attitudes when trying new foods.
@@minhobi3781 British people have to be though, they're usually eating food from other countries. Can't really think of any food that is actually English

Thr bromance is fantastic (I noticed it a long ago) i love they are enjoying their days at Korea. Young men are doing quite great💕
We have to treat people with a heart that does not discriminate against people of any color ... The difference is big ... It's so cute how their friendship is so much like Josh and Ollie's. I adore the bromance, lol. And I cracked up watching the latest Jolly video where Ollie dropped whatever food he was about to eat, just like Max dropped the baby shrimp here.
I still think the best series is Ollie being alone in Korea, second was the twins together. This is easily up there with those two series though.

Watching these I am what amazing ambassadors for the UK these 7 young men are.
Totally agree. Such good kids with the best manners.

I love their interactions with the korean people, whether it's the ahjumma scolding the boys (them not understanding but knowing they are being scolded, lol), to where the waiter told them the chef was happy because they ate the whole dish which most foreigners don't do. I wish that this series would last a lot longer, the boys are soooo enjoyable!

was just thinking about this hahaha
I'm Korean and I absloutely agree with this. I love her grandma vibe!

This is the most meaningful experience to both Max and Armand. I enjoyed the way they eat the whole food and teasing each other. The most touching moment here, when they say to each other that they will cherish the experiences. Owhhh!! What an amazing video to watch!!!
Sichuan hot pot was introduced to South Korea in 2016 When did it become a traditional Korean food?
@@hanbok7986 I don't see Sichuan hotpot anywhere in this video. WTH are you talking about?
그래서 이번 먹방에 다른 학생들에 비해 좀 더 도전적인 조합 아르망 맥스만 찍은것도 정말 좋은 방향이었던거같아요
We need a “Teen EnglishGentleman” series…we’re gonna need more of the boys 💕 missing them already 🥲
Thanks
Thank you guys for promoting genuine Korean culture & traditions!
They’re literally the sweetest people I’m glad they got to experience this. Can’t wait to see the other individual episodes 🤍 Also I found the shop lady endearing she reminds me of my grandma 😭
