In 1942, the laid up Cap Arcona was also used as exterior set for a film about the sinking of the Titanic. The director was murdered by the Gestapo for speaking out against German war effort. History is filled with the cruelest of ironies.

They werent, the oil was mixed with stuff which made it highly explosive. The boats were planned to go out to sea to hide the fact that there were concentration camp survivors

Using 20 mm against swimming SS personnel is within the rules of war.

The intelligence from the Red Cross was not passed on because it was not selected out
for validation for treatment (at the the surrendering german generals alone were causing a vast pile of paper - some their intel had direct relevance to the continuing prosecutionl of the war troop deployments and so on) much of if it was bogus - designed to dissocciate military commanders from the camps

Agreed. If the creator felt they were going to be struck by RUclips they should have just not shown anything or simply kept showing the images of the ships. Incredibly crass.

A military survivor is still a combatant.
Thus Dowdings ruling :enemy pilots shot down over British territory were to be treated as potential POWS and therefore no action to be taken against them

Red cross marked air sea rescue boats and airplanes were legitimate targets as were
British pilots in parachutes over South of England BoB 1940.
