Excellent finds and 3 silvers, the second silver looks to be French with fleur de lis clearly visible in at least 2 areas and the first silver is probably a William 111, possibly the start of a love token that was rubbed but never bent, and then out pops a Charles 1st hammered, well done and all the best Wendy and Jon in Derbyshire. 🙂🙂
Cracking day in the office there mate, beautiful location. First silver looked like worn smooth William III sixpence. Second silver Victorian three pence, worn smooth again. You had a Georgian coin with the edges bashed in, I've had a few like that almost always George III half pennies or pennies. I'd probably watch more of your videos if they weren't so long. Had this one on in the car while driving back from work, kinda illegal, but works for me 😂 Keep it up and good luck with your back
Hi Gareth, thanks for the ID's and tips, especially on the battered in George III pennies. I am honoured that you chose to listen to me instead of the radio to be honest, haha! But yes, stay safe whilst driving!!! Thanks for your comment dude!
Congrats on the 1k subscribers, Jake - very well deserved! And well done also for some wonderful finds. The ring at 7 minutes in looks very much like a tarp eyelet to me. And as a fellow bad back sufferer, I very much hope the injections do the trick for you. Keep up the good work!
The “fish” looking thing is part of a door fitting. It would go over a key hole to stop a draught coming through. The top would have had a hole and you would have moved the whole thing aside to put your key in to lock or unlock the door and then it would have swung back into place to form the seal. I think they might be called an escutcheon, but I could be wrong on that
@@davestacey2733 thank you mate! I crank the sensitivity right up to 24/25. Recovery speed 4 and then I don’t change anything with the discrimination settings that are a standard :) I find tweeking with the settings too much doesn’t work well for me. Hope this helps a bit!
Just an idea for the new year, you seem to have a lot of subscribers now and many of them seem to be fellow detectorists, why not reach out to some of them and ask if you can go with them to some of their permissions? Do a little “Crosby Collects On Tour” and see how far and wide you can go? I’m in East Sussex and I’m more than happy for you to come and spend a day down here on one of my permissions 👍🏻
@@raymondberry9482 great idea, I have had a fair few people leave comments kindly offering for me to come to their permissions. Currently, haven’t had the time to travel, but it is something I would love to do. Thats very kind for you to offer as well. I used to work in West Sussex and know that area up to Brighton fairly well. Perhaps organising something in the new year? Very kind of you to offer 😊
@@raymondberry9482 and thank you for all of your comments and watch time on the videos recently, I do read them all and each time take away something knew to learn! 👍🏽
@@CrosbyCollects no worries mate. I’m hoping to get a few new permissions down here in the new year, I’ve got a lot of farms and Manor Houses around me that have never been detected. I know you’ve just moved so when you’re a bit more settled let me know and we’ll organise something.
@mikebeattie1061 thanks Mike. I just use the basic settings that the manticore comes with at factory. Rarely change it since the time of taking it out the box!
Great when silver pops up. Best wishes and happy hunting!
Congratulations on the 1k subs, keep up the great work 😊👍🏻

@CrosbyCollects I still see all the highlites. I don't get the time of day for RUclips, so sneaking it in while driving has become a game changer

Your first silver I believe is an Irish slap token, they were repurposed silver coins that could no longer be used as currency
