14:09 looks killer mate! Just checking to see if there’s a valve seat that goes between the external gate and the vband I’ve seen quite a few get left out and had issues when it come to tune
Nice build, defiantly should run the oil feed line on the opposite side of the turbo and not through the manifold because it is a big risk to run it next to a hot manifold especially through it.
not really a worlds first but different size so i guess, but if you get in touch with pks turbo they have far better options for the f55/66 turbos, we used a no7 t3 rear 50mm f55 on a td42 about 2 years ago. get in touch and definitely look into their rear housings atleast, can get them in t3 and all sorts of sizes to combat flow restriction
Nuthin wrong with Gulf Western Oil, it’s a Oz🇦🇺 company & it’s a Jaso Dh1 spec oil & 10ltr containers cost around $85-$90 at super cheap auto. It’s Grouse oil mate my Td42ti loves it. Nice build ya doing too 👍.
Unsure if you show it in the vid but are you planning on welding that internal wastegate flange up ? From what I’ve seen people Tig up the internal gate and actuator arm otherwise that external gate isn’t gonna open at said pressure and wont make desired boost pressure
dude if you want bigger than this but you dont want another brand you can buy the TD07 one which is 107 mm diameter.I've saw someone use it on 3.0L 2013 hilux at my country. Right now Im currently using the f41 for my dmax 2.5L
Coming from a 23 Year's old who lives in the countryside of Japan would this be a great option even though I'm tempted to buy a GQ over a GU and this is gonna be My first proper off-road vehicles Even though I might just use it like a garage queen or a daily I have 10grand to spend and another 7grand for modification is it a good idea or I'm just gonna be stressed and later on stabbing my self with a katana because I'm gonna be broke 😂
@renbenism for 10 you can only get a GTT or GTST and for sure it has alot of rust and wouldn't even past shaken y'all have to rely on some shop's to past it will cost over 20grand if you add modification or labor

Id run the oil line away from the turbo manifold, theres a lot of heat in between the turbo manifold and the block

Sp your oil feed is gonna be super heated to 600 degrees running it through the exhaust would it not. I certainly wouldnt run it that way.

It’s already welded I just accidentally didn’t hit record when I did it so I left it out! Welded internal and external
How did you weld the stock internal gate up. Looking at doing the same thing to my garret and going external gate.

Bro those flanges are mild steel basically the swiss cheese of steels even though its 10mm thick id still put put nuts on the bolts
