Yeah, it is sooo much better than stock. What's cool too is it has a ton of lights and scale accessories, not an ultralight version.

I went with the soft/soft .72 lbs capra springs and im really happy. Ripped the shocks apart and rebuilt with green slime because they leaked and 45wt oil. I dont think I'd change anything, very pleased.

That's how a capra should be set up !!!! Started out in RC with SUPER class rigs. They are still my favorite rigs to drive. With 8 or so inch tires 4 wheel steer dig and the ability to adjust each esc. Great rig !!
Best battery I've found for the Capra is Spektrum Smart 1300 mah 3S 11.1v 30C ... lasts around 40 min. This batt comes stock in the Proboat 17 deep V.the best part is it fits easily into the Capra
Man I wish we were in the same area. I have a ton of faith in my modded Capra. I want to stack it up against some mod queens like the one in this vid! Sweet Capra btw.

I do 'cheap' 4WS on all my rigs. HV bluebird servos wired straight to 2S battery with servo Y-splitter and a servo inverter on the rear servo. Constant unswitchable, un-crabable 4WS. Even without the option to crab or rear steer it is a lot better for steep crawling than just FWS.
The Scale details are the crowning touch. Beautiful !

Going to start my Capra as my build for 2021, getting the kit for the New Year. I want to build a 4WS, with front OD. i was sold when I watched a review that showed all the ways to play with experiment with anti-climb and anti-squat with the link positioning. I actually want to play with a longer link, stretched wheelbase and take advantage of the higher gearing to get a Hammer Truck type of crawler. All Reefs servos, and The XR10pro G2 ESC and G3R 17.5 brushless motor combo from Hobbywing.
already have a FS-GT5 radio and receiver arriving tomorrow for another build I was working on I can dedicate to the Capra. Putting that other on hold for awhile.

11t pinion crawls just fine. Get use to better throttle control and it’s actually better since you can get up slippery climbs easier.
11t is not bad. But it all depends on the quality of the motor, esc and transmitter. Hard to argue with how deliberate this one crawls and how easy it is to control.
RC Review for sure. Mamba X with the aux hooked to channel 5 lets me dial the top speed from 3mph to 15mph on 4s. The throttle is fully proportional to this, so turned all the way down full throttle goes 3mph and half throttle 1.5, or turned all the way up it’ll be 15mph full and 7.5 half.

Puller pro motors are so smooth and hitting 43k rpm isn’t hard on it. It’s still geared decently low, it’s just higher voltage on a high (for crawling) kv motor. But that doesn’t mean the motor can’t provide torque at really low rpm.
the capra does have a few small shortcomings but still money well spent ....nice footage brother

Possibility. I like that the low-cost Flysky is absolutely dialed for this high-end rig. Seriously can't see a $500 radio outperforming it.

Never had rear wheel steer but I found my self saying when to use it and witch way. I need rws on my Capra. Thanks for the upgrade info, and a good tutorial on using rws.

How do you control the rear steering? Does it self center rather than the 5 position? That's what I would prefer. Curious if I can do it with my dx5c

I have a ecx temper gen 2 crawler, and I have all the parts to convert the rear for rear wheel steering,, But what do I need as far as an esc and controller because I definitely want to be able to just push a button and switch between steering modes....can you give me some advice?

Lol, I’m running such a similar setup. Except no overdrive. I’m mixing steering. And I’m running 2700kv puller pro on 4s for 15mph. I don’t have those expensive axles though.
Mixing steering how? Is it helpful for that fast and capable machine:?
RC Review oh, I meant letting the fly sky gt5 do the channel mixing. I put it on 4ws and rotate the selector to choose which mode and let the radio proportion it.

Though, if I turn it off I can use the push button to select from extreme right or extreme left.

The treal transmission case has a second hole for the middle gear shaft so you can put it closer to the motor and run a 8t pinion

I just got a axial Capra 4ws I love it servo for the front died the first battery swapped the rear to the front still driving what servo should I got to replace both
Just put reefs 900 smart servos in my 4ws capra but it was $189 a piece! Well worth it though,it will break axles without hesitation there so powerful

The axles alone are 250 bucks a pop, plus over and under gears, plus pinion, plus servo programing and other parts as needed. it can get to a grand quick.

treal doesnt make a transmission for the capra just a trans housing, and im suspecting that was probably the case when recorded. lack of links is extremely aggravating when the shit you talk about doesnt even exist

Love the rigs, i just picked up a capra 4ws @AXIALFEST22 and i already have vanquish kmc tank with vanquish brass inner clamp rings as well, i am expecting my vanquish front portal axle to be here today,on the rear axle did you guys use another feont capra axle? I see that its offset. So is he using a different vanquish portal axle for the rear ?or is it just another f9 portal axle?
