Oh man, in all my creative classes in High School and both colleges I went to (and I was an English Major, so I took a LOT of writing classes) that type of ending was the NUMBER ONE WAY to guarantee to fail a paper, unless you could do it in a completely original way. The ending isn't unexplainable. The body shop teacher says, right before thunder road, that if the car was "in any better condition, it would fly." Well, at the end of the movie, Danny's car is obviously in 'better condition', and thus, it flies. It's stupid, sure, but not at all mysterious or inexplicable.
I know that it wasn't hinted in the movie, but it turned out that there was indeed a passenger on the real Titanic with the name J. Dawson that not even the director knew about.
Why does no one ever talk about the theory that Mary Poppins is a Time Lord? She has a bag that is bigger on the inside, has special mental (and other types of) abilities, is super clever and regenerated into a new face! And I think I'm forgetting some other points.

Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction is actually Nick Fury, and Marsellus Wallace's briefcase contained the Mind Stone. My personal favorite: Anakin Skywalker was SO strong in the Force that he accidentally, via subconscious desire, brainwashed Padme into being in love with him. This explains the awkward sudden 180 degree snap from her not exactly being all that interested to her declaration of pure love just before they ended up in the arena, and why when Anakin choked her, she essentially died of 'lack of will to live': because Anakin had literally made her existence only have value on the basis of his desire to have her love. Lucas' subpar writing and the issues the actors had acting against so much green screen breeds a lot of interesting theories that way. There's also 'Jar Jar Binks was SUPPOSED to be a revived/disguised Darth Plagueis, but the sheer negative backlash to him made Lucas change his mind' and 'R2D2 and Chewbacca were Rebel agents from the moment the Empire was founded and prodded some events because of it, like how Chewbacca realized that Luke and Leia were suffering from genetic sexual attraction, went "Oh crap", and basically shoved Han at her to prevent a real unfortunate continuation."

I have always believed Bruce Wayne died at the end of the Dark Knight Rises and Alfred is just imagining it as it is the most realistic scenario. You can take the "Back to the Future"-Suicide theory further: What if the DeLorean really had hit them and the rest of the Trilogy are just fantasies of a dying Doc. My dad always told me growing up that when he was in desert storm, to help everyone deal with the war, they would argue about ‘the thing’ theory. That fucker might’ve been on to something
the idea of Joker being an ex-soldier isn't particularly dark: Ex-soldiers (well, American ones) are usually allowed tremendous leeway when they go wrong on account of what they went through (the screenwriters who advance the 'You don't know, you weren't there' meme usually don't know because they weren't there). If the 'realistic' Dark Knight movie decides that an American can become the Joker because of what he went through in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, God knows what kind of Iraqi or Afghan criminal nutjobs might be acceptable. If Michael turned into Travis Bickle because of what he went through in Vietnam, Bickle's psychosis has some of its origins in the total fantasy of the Russian roulette torture. Therefore I may have been wrong in my resolution, since the 1970s that should I ever visit Vietnam, never to take a taxi on the assumption that the driver would have had it a damn sight harder than Bickle.
Tarantino had Carradine killed because he was infatuated with Uma in real life and some stuff happened behind the scenes I imagine that made him he was trying to steal her away...even though Q didn't have her in the first place 😮
LOL Some of these are just way too ridiculous! 1st Alfred had told Bruce about the cafe earlier in the movie so he knew where Alfred would be to let him know he made it. It was the first time in at least 20 years anyone had been in the Chocolate factory since Grandpa Joe used to work there and was let go when Wonka decide to go humanless! It's just takes little facts to destroy a lot of these theories. There are a few I could get behind but a lot that can be written off just by watching. Also Donny was 100% alive as the Dude does make conversation with him.

Dunno if anyone mentioned it but The Thing theory turned out to be true. It happened in the comics.
You can take the "Back to the Future"-Suicide theory further: What if the DeLorean really had hit them and the rest of the Trilogy are just fantasies of a dying Doc. That would explain why all related people look the same, all that 80s nostalgia in the future and Doc finding his Happy Ending in his favourite era.
What's hilarious about this theory is that Marty tries to step out of the way and he pulls him back in with a smile on his face.
The TItanic one is insane. How did she get back on the ship? Who drew the picture?
Some of these yall are digging way too deep
and which ones are those
The darkest theory is the one where the screen turns to black when the movie ends
Omg your right
Bruce Wayne Definitely DID NOT DIE At The End.
Also Donny was 100% alive as the Dude does make conversation with him.
the answer to Matilda is 'It's a Roal Dawl' Book. That's all the answer that's needed
Bill does.Him name doesn't get crossed off because he is the goal not just a step to be completed.
This video is a great reminder why I stay away from theories in films. People drum up some of the dumbest, unimaginative sounding theories.
There's a lot of sick minds out there!!!!
I would buy the Doc Brown theory if it weren't for Marty and Einstein. I don't think he would take them out with himself.
