This is as perfect of a demonstration for the importance of safety glasses for mechanics as i have seen. I am so thankful your eye was not permanently damaged Brother. Another excellent video.

Thank you. I actually wear safety glasses most of the time, but it goes to show that just because you don’t expect to need them doesn’t mean you won’t need them. I’ve been wearing them a lot more since then though. I got lucky. I thank god I didn’t do serious damage, he has a way of letting me off easy with things.

Dang! You actually got that sucker out of there through the bottom without removing the degas bottle / secondary batter tray! Well done.

This really saved me a lot of money I don’t have doing it myself. I followed your steps and success!
I did buy a Ford hydro boost. It comes with the rod setup for the master cylinder. Only thing I had to get in addition was the O Rings - 2.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for sharing!

You did a good job filming a nearly impossible job. I hope your eye is good. I've got a set of shorty combo wrenches that come in handy in places like this.

Thank you. I might have to get me a set of those. I actually got my record/ stop record rhythm off and missed some of the process. My eye is all healed now. Just needed some drops for it. I got lucky. I’ve been using the safety glasses more.

@@JasonTheMunicipalMechanic My father was a machinist he rarely wore safety glasses at home when he should have, he would do the safety squint.

oh man Jason, the safety Sally's will go CRAZY! you'll never the hear the end of it! Now you'll need goggles to protect your eyeballs, steel toed shoes so you don't drop your hammer on your piggies, rubber gloves because the brake cleaner is poison in CA, hearing protection for when you use your power tools, and a day-glo vest so they parked trucks don't hit you.

This will help me a great deal. Is this a diesel engine? I have a 2011 hoping it is the same setup?
How did you bleed the power steering pump afterwards? Just turn the wheel back and forth?
I have to do this job and I just can't afford to pay a dealer so this will really help us out. Thank you for sharing.
If I have to remove the tank it would be great if someone would be able to comment on that. Thanks again

Wearing safety glasses just slips a guy’s mind sometimes. Luckily the colored part of your eye was not in injured. Tight quarters really tested your patients, but you got through it, nice!

I just wasn’t thinking it was gonna spring out like that. I should have known, I just wasn’t thinking. I got lucky though. I wear the glasses more now.

do you have to bleed the brake system after replacing the hydro boost?
    thank you.
