    Very cool I think I am going to buy one. I had a Heritage 13' but it was so unstable. I love the way you have it set up! My neighbor bought one we live in Florida right on the Manatee river. He is almost 250 and he loves it

    Thanks for your Tahoma videos. I agree that thes are good, budget friendly fishing kayaks. I bought the Tahoma because it came in a cool purple and pink. Added 2 flush mount rod holders, used tee track for gear tracks, an anchor trolley and pad eyes for attaching rod leashes whatever else. Didn’t do a stadium seat since I like being lower in the kayak. My milk crate has a lid made from a second crate so the contents can be secured. Has a 3” lip so I can set a tackle box on top. I hear a lot of negative talk about Lifetime kayaks but it got me out on the water and turned out to be a great fishing kayak for me.

    This is an old video, but I just bought one for 250.00 at Wal-Mart. It works great. I Had another it was completely unstable. This is fine. Haven't done anything to it yet but plan on working on it. One thing I do like about mine is its not that ugly lime green it's red

      I bought one too but it looks weird. Thr doesn't blind well and it looks like 2 pieces are plastic were welded together instead of a 1 piece mold. How about yours?

      @@tonylee7545 I don't know I'll have to look and check it out. What I did find after getting home was the person who unpacked it ran a razor knife down the one side about 3 ft. To far of a drive to take it back and they probably all had it.

    Nice video. How did you get the screws in from the bottom to mount the Ozark Trail seat?

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  2 года назад +1

      Thanks man! I simply drilled holes in the frame of the seat and screwed long wood screws through the frame into the wood mount. Hope this helps! Here’s my vid doing a more in-depth look at the seat build. ruclips.net/video/gpjO9ZenVX0/видео.html

      @@bluecollaroutdoors5556 I was wondering about the screws that have the wing nuts on them. Isn't the other side of that screw inside the plastic wall of the kayak?

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  2 года назад

      @@dougknoll5585 oh ok those are just 3 inch screws that have a washer and a rubber gasket(bike inner tube pieces) and it is just ran up through the hull in the boat and through the wood pieces and on top I just have a washer and then wing nut. I went with a wing nut just so I can tighten it up if needed. I didn’t want to tighten them to tight and risk splitting the plastic, so far so good. Just about any stainless steel screws will work.

      This one is from fishing online it their brand board but I wouldn’t recommend it. The plastic is very brittle and I broke it a while back. Get an aluminum one.

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  2 года назад

      Yea, it is held on by the bungee the kayak came with, you could always add some pad eyes and extra bungees if needed but it has worked like this for years so I haven’t changed it. Hope this helps!

    Phone mount wouldn’t stick to the kayak? I HEARD DAT! LOL! Trust me, absolutely NOTHING wants to stick to HDPE (high density polyethylene).
    Actually I did have success with one thing sticking. I had a couple of kayaks with some recessed areas up on the dash. They were sit in style kayaks. I got some of the thin peel and stick foam EVA pads, about 1/16 thick, and I cut them to lay inside the recessed trays. They stuck and stayed on for two years and were still there when I sold them, just like new. Maybe they stuck because I put them on back when I didn’t yet know they weren’t supposed to. LOL!

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556
      @bluecollaroutdoors5556  3 года назад

      Yea man it would stick for a little while and then I would barely bump it with something and it would fall off, so the new mount should be more solid for the long term. Yea I’ll have to check out the thinner sticky strips in the future.
