  • Four Class 37s
A Pair of Class 43s on the West Highland Pullman set
    37s, 43s and more:
    A Carlisle Variety
    26 July 24
The West Highland Pullman was being used for Driver Training (it had also run on the previous day).
A Tamper reverses in P1 as it heads into High Wapping Siding
A pair of Colas 37s parked up on a test train between duties.
A Colas 37 with a Harry Needle 37 heads south after a few days working Engineer's trains into Ayrshire.
Then out to Blackrigg Farm to see a Prestwick airport to Carlisle Yard aviation fuel empties. They'll head to Grain in the morning.
The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
Finally a view of what could be seen at Carlisle Yard.

Turning the 125 set into a Pullman was a stroke of genius. Nanking blue really suits it.

Fantastic set of catches today, Les. The WH Pullman is epic, and of course many others, including the Royal Mail train! (sad to hear it may be out of a job). Great series of 37s! Cheers!

The Blue Pullman short set looked great, snaking its way into and out of Carlisle.
The 70 on the logs looked liked it's had a good clean!
I finally got my hands on the Accurascale's model of orange livered HNRC 37405: a remarkable model of a striking loco, which I think looks a little better than 37607, due to the latter's ends being given the "DRS treatment". Having said that, it's great to see any and all 37s still in regular service.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing, keep up the good work.

Any thoughts on the Royal Mail trains changing Operators ?? I can't imagine that all the mail will go by road.

I haven't seen any announcement as to which operator will take on the mail. Hard to see it containerised and there's currently no wagonload freight. Who would buy the 325s (they are some of the few items not owned by a leasing company)? Varamis are the only operator of anything similar.
