    Where did you get your humidifier from? I’ve been looking everywhere for one that doesn’t need a cord

      It's a portable humidifier or sprayer steamer that you can get at your local shop or on Amazon.

    Does the string of turtles require light to the crown to stay full on top like string of pearls? I ask because I have one in a south facing window and the stems turn red and the markings on my turtle shells are bleaching and loosing their markings. The leaves are thick and happy but faded. What do I do? I moved it to my bathroom with no window for the humidity and give it a grow light for 8 hrs a night just to make sure it isn't shocked but I do not know where to move it. Will it go bald if it doesn't have light to the crown of the plant? Also, how can I prevent loosing the markings? It is only on the largest leaves and not the new baby shells. but I can tell it gets too much light because the strands are turning red yet, it is constantly pushing out the tendrills (hooks) to make more leaves so I know it is healthy.

      String of turtles plants love bright indirect sunlight and will thrive in these conditions. Keeping these plants in full sun for too long will damage the leaves, but too little light and they will fail to produce new growth.
      Also, faded leaves are a sure sign of overwatering. You can still save the plant at this point by letting the soil dry out, trimming the affected leaves, and resuming a more appropriate watering routine. The plant might be beyond saving if it starts dropping leaves.

      @@SucculentsBox The plant is constantly growing though so I am sure it was sun bleaching.

    Is a foot away from a a south facing windowsill a good place for So 🐢 s?

    • @SucculentsBox
      @SucculentsBox  2 года назад +1

      I think an east-facing window is better as this plant love bright, indirect sunlight. But if south facing windowsill is the only option you get, I think it's still fine but make sure that you keep an eye on them. If they get sunburn, please consider using a sheer curtain to soften the light.

      @@SucculentsBox I only have south, would a normal room light be enough bright light?

    • @SucculentsBox
      @SucculentsBox  2 года назад

      @@sharonpernes3487 yeah then put your plant a little bit further away from the window. I think it will do just fine. Please remember to keep an eye on them as well

      String of Turtles is a succulent native to Brazilian rainforests. And yes it's also called Peperomia Prostrata 😅
