I am a very old guy and live with the attitude that if you can not say something nice or kind then keep your opinion to yourself as nobody else is interested. Just keep doing what you do, I find it educational and interesting.
Thank you John. I am of the same opinion. However when you receive comments, I feel I have the right to answer. I don't like to have a rant but I feel it has to be done. Well, it's done now. Hopefully they will bugger off and the rest of us can continue with turning and learning. Thanks for watching.
I am also of the same opinion & if they're not happy then, just get to .... & go somewhere else & if they need telling then so be it, tell them. 👍🏴

Glenn & Liza great videos mate ignore the to**ers and do what you do best I really enjoy watching you turn and some great explanations to wood turning. I’m also sure that 90% of people who watch, learn something from you, great job keep going
Well said about touching the wood, Glen. These people say their stupid things, without the knowledge of what they are talking about, I agree with all you said 👏. I also enjoyed watching the fishing.
Thanks Dale. Glad you enjoyed the videos. Eventually we will put the fishing videos on the fishing channel. Would appreciate a sub, to get the channel up in numbers. Thanks in advance.

As a new and inexperienced turner this is a brilliant video. Straight forward no nonsense advice. Could we have a woodturning myths debunked video? I also have a question of I may, I've watched a few of your videos and you mentioned a few times that you don't use faceplates. I was wondering why? As a new turner, at first glance, faceplates seem to be a quick easy way to hold a piece of wood. Thanks Glenn, love the videos.
Hi Rich. Welcome to the channel. Thank you for the coffees. I will defo do a video on myths. Thank you for asking. I've been waiting to do a video on this for a while. Toodle pip for now.
My two favourite things to do, apart from playing with my grandkids are woodturning and fishing so no complaints from me lol, as for being dangerous, I am 66 years old and been in the building trade for 30 years, I have done far more risky things than I see you do, I still have all my fingers lol keep up the great work, very entertaining and educational.

Hey Glenn. Awesome job. Ps. I bet most of the people telling you how to do things, have never turned a thing in their lives. Don't mind them. You know what you're doing. Keep doing a fantastic job.

Hi Glenn and liza from the Shropshire union canal great work Glenn and Liza's painting skills, great rant Glenn don't apologise some people just need educating, great fishing trip did you ever fish of southend pier my old home town take care both of you 🍻
Hi Peter and Lucy. Yes I did use to fish at Southend regularly, but you are talking about 30+ years ago. This will give you an idea of how long ago it was, you used to get Peeler Crab in the shop across the road from the pier (Southend Angling Centre) and they were 15p each. Used to catch loads of Flounder between 1.5lb to 2lb all day. Keep chugging along the canals. You going to Harrogate this year? We will be going on the Saturday. Take care guys.
hi glenn. keep doing what you do ive learnt more since subscribing to you than I have in the last three years, I am about to order two more carbides and my wife is going to site you and liza in a divorce settlement!!
Thanks Glenn I appreciate all your videos the ones that moan and criticise can go stick their heads where the sun doesn’t shine we will all be better off without them cheers. 😊
I'm old, and I'm an armchair ( wheelchair) turner, but I don't see you doing anything dangerous. I wish I could move my banjo without switching off, but it's a replacement, and the way you adjust is weird. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching Mark. I turn every single day. Comes with experience. Being a wheelchair Turner, you must also be turning with your arms and not putting the chisel on your body. But according to all these professional Turners and Teachers you must put your tool on your body and use your body to turn.
Just adding my 2 cents as another old geezer at 78. I enjoyed the rant but I tend to like your talky videos. My dad used to say that all the time "well he won't do that again" ha ha. You have to push back on the safety Nancy's and the key board warriors. Keep up the good work. I am not a fisherman but I will give you a sub on your new channel.
Carry on ranting whenever someone says something stupid. I wish I had been more challenging when I was younger but I am now at an age where I don't suffer fools gladly. If you're doing something a certain way and it works, you're doing it right for you.
Glen what a cracking video am bit behind heading to watch previous videos now. Never apologise for being you mate you give a fantastic wealth of knowledge.
