    The video shows an excerpt from the online training NX CAD SECRETS.
    Video Content:
    Two very nice customer default settings available since NX11 are described. The "within active sketch only" setting will improve your modeling experience and increase update stability. There is also a setting available to avoid usage of "region boundary curves", which also affect the model stability.

    Thank you for the pleasantly done videos. You speak kindly. Thanks for doing the videos in English. Sometimes I don't touch the customer settings thinking something else won't work right. It seems sometimes NX wants you to know it's capabilities and new features by making it a default ootb.

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  2 года назад

      You're welcome. In my opinion, the defaults work great for beginners and feel more comfortable when designing from scratch. But to be honest, we are mostly adjusting existing geometries, which is not regarded by some defaults and methods.

    How do I set the default in NX to not show the WCS without having to press "W" to hide it ever time I launch the program?

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  2 года назад +1

      The WCS display state is stored in the Seed part and will have to be disabled in the Seed Part. If there is no setting in the customer defaults, which I am not familiar with, this is the only possibility to hide it.

    • @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training
      @Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training  11 месяцев назад

      That is super easy - just use paste within the other part. But - you'll have to select new references (or even better - avoid them). This technique is teached in my official NX CAD Secrets training.

      @@AlojzyZyrokompas well... as I said... reusing features is much easier if you did avoid referencing to edges e.g. Also modifications are simpler at least, deletions as well, because thereby less geometry is affected. My videos are concerning the creation of stable constructions, which seems to be slow, but saves so much time when it's about modifications (-;
