Honestly the fact they’re making custom jars for Minecraft specifically for the ARG is insane. Most people wouldn’t put in that much work for something like this
I kind of wonder if the "Dev raid" was some kind of trolling. I think that (in-universe) the ex-developers caught onto people on Discord Servers trying to solve the mystery, and created all those ominous and fake videos to throw people off. One of them literally had Among Us crewmates.
The devs have been shown in the past to partake in a little bit of trolling (Shadow players, the "upside down T's", and so on), so it's entirely within the realm of possibility.

The entire hub and doors Idea reminds me of RecRoom. Maybe thats what they were heading to ? The versions also feel like a Minecraft attempt of branch. The worst is that they (the Devs) could have just made up their "Minecraft" to develop their own ideas cause they didn't sit well with regular Minecraft. Also, the forth and back in RUclips and seemingly low quality just seems to be playing along getting attention. Thats maybe their tactics to atract new players. At this point the entire cryptic stuff is illogical to do if all you want is to develop a game. They just are like: " People like cryptic stuff ? Let's post more for fun then !". I am looking forward to this series.
Breaking immersion a bit to say, the effort these people put on this ARG is insane since they would need to code a new UI for the game, add new items, mobs, biomes, etc, it's really a personalized Mod they put to use on these videos, it's really cool and i appreciate so much effort being put into this project
Can't wait to get more updates on the ARG that is the Alpha 16 versions. They are such an interesting, scary and dark concept, that is so entertaining, and I cannot wait! - Nushnum, 28-3-23, 9:50:50
So about that SotC video: The title claims the fight was against Worm, which is one of eight cut colossi from the game’s development, where the original plan was to have 24 fights (well, 48 was proposed at first, but that was absurd at the time). We do have a screenshot of worm and some textures associated with it still in the files, but we have never gotten our hands on a version with the fight, let alone one with a complete model. There are fan attempts to recreate it and the other 7 cut fights. What does this all mean for the ARG? Honestly, I think it’s just there to mess with people, especially big SotC fans such as myself. The footage shown is just Wander leaving the Shrine of Worship lmao. I wouldn’t read into that detail too much, but it was a cool cameo to see.
I think it's really cool how there's a lot of myths/lost media that appear to exist in-universe, such as a full release of Sonic X-Treme and the Herobrine live stream. It really emphasizes the idea of this being an alternate universe.
Yes! I’m very excited to watch this one, I loved the last one and have been waiting to continue watching this ARG until this video inevitably came out. I’ve been feeling sick for the past two days, so I’m really happy that this video happened to come today. You’re my favorite horror commentary channel, I really think you make some of the best ARG videos on the internet. I really can always count on you to give me just enough of a scare to be fun, while not really having things like jumpscares. Please, don’t stop the great content :D
One discord raid video (from 2016) literally featured a bunch of amoguses even though among us didn’t come out until 2017/2018. And in the folder with all of the lost media we have a file titled under bound 2. I did some research and underbound 2 seems to be a undertale hack and undertale came out in 2015. Doesn’t line up timeline wise considering this arg mostly takes place during the late 2000s/early 2010s.
Glad you covered more of this! I really respect the amount of effort being put into this ARG, really looking forward to more of what they do in the future!
Just want to say how phenomenal this ARG is. This could very easily be passed off as being a legit lost version of Minecraft that was a testing grounds for RubyDung. Everything about it is just perfect, the shadow players not being ghosts but people monitoring players is great, and all the features feel so genuine, like they give off the exact vibe INDEV gave off. Just amazing work to the people behind this its fantastic!
12:48 Someone else has pointed out that those are among us crew mates. I have a very far-fetched theory but since that video is supposed to take place in 2016 roughly, does this imply that one of the devs or someone is able to see into the future somehow? Or maybe that one of them eventually became an Among Us developer and those little crew mates are just something he later used as a design? Very silly theory, but why else would there be amoguses?
Also at 15:04, I am almost CERTAIN that 'Elliot Conrad Hotwood' is a reference to Alias Conrad Coldwood, the music composer for the rpgmaker classic called OFF. In terms of tones and themes, that's interesting to me. Still, the dev raid makes multiple references to other games - Among Us, OFF, maybe more - so it feels like it is not as solid as the main channel. It is immersion-breaking, and if it IS the people making the main youtube project, it's most likely much more spontaneous and just them fucking around. Edit 1: The inclusion of Yume Nikki - Solidtude at around 21:20 makes the OFF reference being real more feasible. YN-S was a collaborative Yume Nikki Fangame that was cancelled - much like the story of Lillypad itself. Edit 2: .flow (dotflow) is also a Yume Nikki fangame in the folder. Both these fangames and the original Yume Nikki were made in the same rpgmaker engine as OFF (rpgm2003). If the creator/s of this ARG are genuinely fans of these games and possibly even worked on Solitude, the tones of the ARG start to make a lot more sense as to where its influences and aesthetics come from! Edit 3: YNFG creator friend suggests that this person was at least around on uboachan from the early 2000s to early 2010s, because that is when Solitude was being collabed on. Time period tracks.
I'm not gonna lie you got me worried with Video 4 for a bit. Literally paused and considered if I should watch it since I'm going to go to sleep soon. I laughed so hard when I decided to just watch it
Thanks for the video. I've never pieced any of them together myself, maybe due to them being posted months apart & not binge-watching them all at once. They seemed to me like a stream of mostly unconnected events.
My 2 cents on the weird sky: the Crab Nebula supernova and shattered moon are supposed to indicate that the sun in Minecraft's solar system has died in this continuity, and most of the new items are build around this premise (more complex torches, tough windows, wisp lights floating about, flowers that damage zombies etc.
I believe that most of the audio, creepy photos and videos were meant for a mix of a horror/adventure type game. With the PS2 gameplay in one of the videos it shows that they could be following a reference. A way to base their new game off of. All the creepy faces and videos were tests and references for what would be finalised and put into the game as bosses. Most likely around 16-17 bosses just like the PS2 game. The reason why we don't see them is because dev 5 wants to focus more on the adventure side like what was said in the video. But when dev 1 and 2 were leading the team they had gotten some of the horror aspects done. Like the bosses that we have seen.
In the "Fall" audio ay 16:15 right after the loud step the sounds are same that can be heard in the game Limbo where at the end you invert gravity with the machines
I turned on notifications for their channel, and I have to say that it was a huge treat watching video 4 with no knowledge of the current lore. Still is!
2:21 - Super Meat Boy (first desktop icon) was released on October 23, 2010, but if you look at the Windows clock it shows August 23 2010. So it is impossible to him have this game.
The teleport into the debug dimension seems like a su1cide metaphor to me. Putting aside all your things, going up to a high place, and the final jump into "hell". I wonder if that's how that dev died...?

21:21 in my entire lifetime, i never thought would i see .flow be referenced in a minecraft arg, genuinely. And solitude as well which is genuinely surprising since it only had 1 verison and was canceled shortly after and no one knows what it is.
Yeah somewhat obscure reference, RPG maker games had a slight jump in popularity recently. If you're into really really weird wacky stuff, check out "twicefold ampersands" might take a bit of effort to find the game. From there it's basically a rabbit hole. And check out Fear & Hunger too! That's not as obscure I just like the games lol😅
12:42 Having *just* learned about Java exceptions in programming class yesterday, I can safely say I have absolutely no idea why revoking a key sends an Input-Output Exception in the io package, since that only happens if you input an unexpected type of data, not a deleted, previously working piece of info. I'd say something more like a login exception in the net package would make more sense

Every upload of yours is a certified banger, voice-over, editing, script, imagery everything is just great. Keep up the great work!

So about that SotC video:
The title claims the fight was against Worm, which is one of eight cut colossi from the game’s development, where the original plan was to have 24 fights (well, 48 was proposed at first, but that was absurd at the time).
Glad to be here to see this! I always love this ARG! The stairs video is honestly creepy to me! Thanks for covering RGN!
I think it's really cool how there's a lot of myths/lost media that appear to exist in-universe, such as a full release of Sonic X-Treme and the Herobrine live stream. It really emphasizes the idea of this being an alternate universe.
I really appreciate that you went back to this ARG to analyze all the new stuff.
13:47 i think i recognize that audio as a meme audio (turi ip ip), but i could be mistaken
I WAS GONNA SAYU THE SAME THING DUDE I KNEW I WASNT CRAZY
21:26 might contain information that could help us find the first herobrine stream or even the lost JoJo's Phantom Blood film
21:21 Dot flow lol!! The arg masters truly have good taste
Other things include phantom blood movie with a actual release and a US version of sonic x-treme
@@Shy_002 , yea but this is possible because Sonic X-Treme was supposed to come out in the 90s, which is before 2009
Glad you covered more of this!
There's an odd theme of the Moon being fucked up in a lot of these ARGs it seems.
The moon is goofy
Historically, people believed that staring at the moon could drive a person to madness
We should’ve blown up the moon years ago

12:48 Someone else has pointed out that those are among us crew mates. I have a very far-fetched theory but since that video is supposed to take place in 2016 roughly, does this imply that one of the devs or someone is able to see into the future somehow? Or maybe that one of them eventually became an Among Us developer and those little crew mates are just something he later used as a design? Very silly theory, but why else would there be amoguses?
At 21:20 you can see winrars of Yume Nikki version and dotflow. Both games probably had a lot of influence on the soundtrack of the alpha versions.
I've fallen in love with your videos covering ARG's/Mysteries such as these. I hope you'll continue to put out such good content in the future!
The work put into this ARG is crazy. Can’t believe someone would put so much effort into something like this!

I turned on notifications for their channel, and I have to say that it was a huge treat watching video 4 with no knowledge of the current lore. Still is!
This series is so interesting, and the soundtrack is so beautiful.
I love these kinds of videos man, something is so entertaining about it.
2:21 - Super Meat Boy (first desktop icon) was released on October 23, 2010, but if you look at the Windows clock it shows August 23 2010. So it is impossible to him have this game.
Maybe it releases earlier in this AU?
I'll be honest the devs might've been lashing out at you for making this stuff more well known and bringing a new (probably young) audience to the arg
The teleport into the debug dimension seems like a su1cide metaphor to me. Putting aside all your things, going up to a high place, and the final jump into "hell". I wonder if that's how that dev died...?
The fact that this is a genuine project thats going on _right now_ makes this almost the most intriguing thing ive ever seen

Agumus sungous reference?!?!1??1??1?1?1?1
I have a feeling the cracked moon is gonna play a huge role and that we might get a bit of in-game lore
THIS IS THE ONLY ARG/FOUND FOOTAGE THAT HAS GIVEN ME CHILLS IN LIKE, 4 YEARS. HOLY MOLY.
What if the real mystery is they're time travelers from the past showing us an alternate Minecraft.
I love how there are parts of this that somewhat unsettled me. And then there parts with upside-down Ts and amoungies.
5:14 man they really tryna make sweden 2, grabbing all the Scandinavian countries and stuff
UNLESS
I just realized it could be because the login info requests data from a theoretical login class and said data doesn't match?
15:09 Elliot Conrad Hotwood sounds like a parody of Alias Conrad Coldwood. Dude who created OST to OFF.
The timing! i was just rewatching part 1 of this last night wondering if a part 2 was in the works ! thank you :)

That compilation video is so on brand in every way, from the terrible mic quietly to the “this is how you get mew” energy to the screaming over something that’s actually just straight up comedy. I wasn’t expecting to feel nostalgic over this, but my god that’s fantastic lmao
Hamachi is a peer to peer connection program not a video recorder if i recall correctly. Hamachi can be used to run / connect to a server though in replacement of port forwarding.
Yes
This is an absolutely insane amount of effort on one arg. It’s crazy like going on discord? Making a website? Good grief thats crazy! It actually feels real.
the fact that they are actually coding the versions is insane
The fall audio actually gave me chills, jeez
