Bourgeois also does a large sound hole OM. The larger sound hole has a bit more bass and balance.
Glad to see that someone finally put a full thickness neck on a custom Martin. I wish that the Martin neck shapes weren't an upcharge so you can order one with just a different neck and not have to pay for the custom shop
Larrivee does it on their om 50. Wonderful!
Definitely a unique sound, almost sounds better when strummed vice finger picked
Quinton, rocking the T-shirt and showing off those guns! I love a mahogany guitar! Beautiful grain on the back.
Double thumbs up for no wimpy typical OM pickguard.
I could do without the vertical Martin inlay on the face of the head stock.
Looks good, sounds good.
$2300 upcharge for a no-wimpy-pickguard, a bug that turned into a feature, headstock you don’t like, and adi! Maybe higher grade (aesthetics) hog?
@@adamlegion13 I believe that would be Mahogany, Show some respect.
In 2003 I bought a new D18 GE with an Adirondack top. Not impressed.
Guys, u r killing me. "Honey, I have more good news! It has a big sound hole!!!"
at least you mentioned "sound"
Looks amazing. I have an LS6 that doesn't hold a candle , but I get a similar type feel.
is that yamaha??
If the necks are different thicknesses, that absolutely affects the tone...so I'm not sure I would agree that this is a solid comparison. We're not just hearing the soundhole differences, we're also hearing the neck differences. (And of course, even two of the exact same model won't sound exactly the same anyway.) Either way, they both sound excellent and I wouldn't be upset if I had one.
sounds huuuuge woody yet warm ...worth every penny! thanks Paul
Lovely!
So lovely. Oh my.
Martin used only install large pickguards on OM models in the 1930s. This guitar simply pays homage to the old days of Martin.
holey-moley
Very, nice guitar, I sure wished you would do something like this in LH orientation, heck I wished you had a standard LH 000-28 available.
We have many left-handed guitars available. musicvilla.com/search?type=product%2Carticle%2Cpage&q=LEFTY We might have a 000-28 on order. Send me an email if you would like me to look up the next availability of the 000-28 LH. chad@musicvilla.com
I was about to order a Larrivee 0m-24 (short scale)… why did I park that? What are you two doing to me? This vid was 35 mins behind the other inspiration. Shit.
