Heyy!! I’ve seen you on a few of Lee and Timotei’s vids so thought I’d watch one of yours! Love your sense of humour and got to love a camp with our Des 😍 Great looking food, beer and company! New sub here! 🥰
Hi Karen, thanks very much for checking out the video and subscribing, really glad you enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to watching your new vid when it goes live later. I had a great laugh with Tim and Lee, we're all quite local to one another so I'm sure we'll get back out for another camp in due course. Des is a top bloke too, been camping with him for several years now and he's always a pleasure to share a camp fire with. 👍
Thanks for sharing Gavin glad you all had a good camp despite the weather. Amazing that some of those trees are still standing given their condition and recent weather!!!
Cheers Lee, not a new chair, I got it a while back from Alpkit. I just don't tend to take a chair wildcamping. I quite enjoyed the luxury of a chair though so it might make a few more appearances! 👍
Cheers Rich, I'm proud to say that Lloyd has a keen eye for a decent ale! That was a 3am dump in the rain too, "character building" is perhaps what some might say! All the best 👍
Hi Paul, glad you enjoyed the video. I've heard about Op Jackdaw (seen Neil's videos!) and would be delighted to get involved somehow. Am also in Kent so it's very convenient for me! 👍
I bet Des was peeing all night with that tea drink 😁 Is that the wood where you brought myself and Lee? Looks so different if it is. A good gathering there chaps 😉👍🏼
You'll have to check out Des' video to see what he thought of the Darjeeling tea. This was a different woodland Tim, not too far from where we camped though, we'll have to get you up there for a camp in due course. Thanks for checking out the video though matey, I shall be watching yours later today 👍
Hi Phil, thanks for checking out the video. You probably won't see it on this video, but I did actually put the tarp over the top of the ridgeline. I did that because I was using a heavy canvas tarp and generally find that it pitches better like this. However, this is not something I do normally, my lightweight tarps usually hang from the prussik loops under the ridgeline. The reason for hanging a tarp under a ridgeline is that it prevents any rainwater coming under your shelter. A lot of people use paracord for their ridgelines. Paracord is great, but it absorbs a lot of water when it rains and this starts to wick through the length of the cord. This happened to me over the weekend, it rained all night and when I checked the lines in the morning the paracord inside my shelter was quite wet. Happily it wasn't so wet as to disrupt my camp, but enough to make me choose to hang the canvas tarp under the ridgeline next time around! 👍
@@barneysbimbles thanks for the reply. I was asking as I have ordered the same canvas tarp and thought it might be more simple just to throw it over a rope ridge line. for the lighter tarps I have just used bungees up utill now
Yeah I think it's the sweet spot for a solo shelter. Whenever I used a 3x3 tarp, I always found that the shelter was much more than I needed. Hope you enjoy it 👍
Ha ha, thankfully not all of that beer was for my nephew! We left Des in the woods, he went hunting for the Predator, not heard from him since!! 😂 Thanks as always for checking out the video 👍
Nice video Barney and good to see another from you 👍 Nice to see the mighty Des fabricating something. Have a good week and hope to see you soon 👍
Hi Lee, hope you're well. It's always fun camping with Des, he's always getting up to something weird and wonderful 👍
Very enjoyable it looked a lovely chilled camp Barney ⛺️🍺👍
Cheers Dave, glad you enjoyed it. Hoping to get out on the Brompton next time! 👍

Good to see you chaps out,i need to get my arse in gear and get myself back out in the woods.
Cheers Andy, hope you're well. Get yourself out there for a brew matey, the woods are calling 👍
Thanks for sharing Gavin glad you all had a good camp despite the weather. Amazing that some of those trees are still standing given their condition and recent weather!!!
Cheers John, yeah I thought that about the trees. There's a lot of very precarious looking trees up there, ready to go over! 👍
Enjoyable woods camp that Barney. Chicken looked divine!
Cheers Ben, hope you're keeping well 👍

Cheers Mark, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Enjoyed that vid Barney, food looked delicious.
Cheers matey, glad you enjoyed it 👍
New chair barn? I don't recall ever seeing you use a chair. Those wings looked the nuts 👍 Nice to see you out again.

Nice to see Lloyd shares his Uncle's taste for a fine Belgian! And bravo on the 3am dump - the stuff of nightmares 😱. Looked a great camp Barney 👍

A bit late to the party but awesome to see you out in one of my tarps and bedrolls 🫡🙏
Cheers Scott, have got a few camps planned with the tarp over winter 👍
Nice one Barney 👍🔥
Cheers Stuart, thanks as always for checking out the video 👍
Des said if you like Darjeeling coffee you’d really like Darjeeling Electrolytes!😂
Don't encourage him! 😂
@@barneysbimbles hahaha! Great video. Btw🤣
Nice one Barney 🕊🕊
Cheers Tim, hope you're well 👍
Des sent me over from your great campout. Liked and subbed
Hi Connie, thanks very much for checking out the channel and subscribing, glad you enjoyed the content 👍
I'm with Lloyd with the glass.. Hate drinking out of a bottle /can.. Wild doesnt need to be rough ;-)
Yeah I agree, it's always nice drinking out of a glass. And I doff my cap to anyone that can be bothered to carry one out to camp 👍
Great vid.. Would love to have you guys along to Op Jackdaw to share some stories and tips. Paul

Did Predator Des chase after those deer with his newly fashioned bow
😂 not quite, Des wouldn't have caught the deer even if it was standing in front of him!
If that’s wee, Lloyd needs to see a doctor 😂
😂 I think it was just a subtle hint that I need to get him a hip flask for his birthday!!
I see most people run a ridge line then hang a tarp below it. is there any reason you cant throw a tarp over a ridge line
Hi Phil, thanks for checking out the video. You probably won't see it on this video, but I did actually put the tarp over the top of the ridgeline. do you find a 2.4m x 2.4m tarp big enough?
Yeah I think it's the sweet spot for a solo shelter. Whenever I used a 3x3 tarp, I always found that the shelter was much more than I needed. Hope you enjoy it 👍
@@barneysbimbles cheers thats good to know
Nice one is your nephew sober yet??? Did Predator Des chase after those deer with his newly fashioned bow??? Have fun stay safe.
