'The Deliverance' cost Netflix $65 million, which the streaming channel won in a bidding war that included studios like MGM and Miramax - according to Variety.
Having seen the trailer I suspect that they were bidding for the producer, Lee Daniels and the cast because the trailer isn't anything that we haven't seen elsewhere.
Now, that's not to say that the movie won't have a few surprises, but at this point I'm just not seeing where the money went.
