- Used a 3in. right angle flashing as a gutter to better blend in, add a bug screen to slow the volume of rain water in to the flashing gutter.
slight run towards the rain chain through a 5/8 in hole at the stop end.
looks better than a large gutter works perfectly. Tested with a large volume hose
Did you have to bend the flashing to get it into that shape? I'm looking at some online, and it doesn't look like it has the same shape as yours.
How did you get that lip on the r/a flashing?
This would work well for a light sprinkle. A heavy downpour would easily overwhelm this set up but I suppose you wouldn't be out there so you dont care as much.
A Passive house build in Port Alberni, heat it with a candle and cool it with an ice cube/really, well, if you get ma' drift
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much!!!
Just stock in any hardware store, just utilized what I eyed in the metal flashing department
Can I get more information on this project
Tuckeret, are ye talking about the rain gutter, no narration because of my Scottish accent, hence the text on the stills
Google seumas2 on youtube for all the videos on the passive house from the foundation up all told 55 videos ,slainte mhath
seumas2 I have a gazebo just like yours and want to keep the rain from falling over the sides. What type and size of flashing did you use and how did you attach it. I have no experience doing this. The more information I can get will definitely help me. Thanks be safe USA
I love this idea for adding gutters that look nice to my gazebo. But I too would like more instructions on how to do so because I've never done this type of project. I've got the"what to purchase" down, now I just need how to attach to gazebo especially around corners.
it’s called a water drip flashing
Did it come with all the holes in it?where did you get it?
@@connebread The pieces with the holes are for keeping insects out of someplace. I haven't yet found anything that looks close. The flashing is similar to this from Lowe's big box store, www.lowes.com/pd/Union-Corrugating-4-5-in-x-10-ft-Brown-Aluminum-Drip-Edge/3499774
Where did you get the bug sheild?
Just a stock flashing
