Man, i just clicked out of curiosity on this video, but it looks pretty awesome for it's age. And the opening gives it some good old anime vibes. I guess it's gameplay is hard/tricky, but it seems to be fun anyway.
3:24 That smash combo lines up perfectly with the music, lol. This looks like the gamma is set too bright. Everything's overexposed. I notice that seems to be the case on a lot of these arcade uploads.
You know, what is really sad, guys? 🤨Imagine all the gamers back in 1993. They was played this game and probably thought: "Hey, this game is not bad. Very funny". But, the truth is, this game and many others was'nt just "not bad" or "funny", they was and they still freaking awesome! After almost 30 years, we players, watching this and see it's true awesomeness 🤤 Alas, they don't make such games, anymore 🥺
Ape boss from Strider. Overall otherworldly vibe from Forgotten Worlds. Brain boss equals Eyeball monster from Altered Beasts. Blue demon moveset pre-dates Akuma. Ape Boss moveset pre-dates Sentinel in X-Men vs Capcom. Algae monster similar to Twelve SF3. Robots similar to Mega Man aesthetics. Dragon reminds me of Dragon in Space Harrier. Great Game I never played and just saw for the first time!
Discount Dorombo. Seriously, nearly everything about this game (especially the terrible trio of villains) exudes "Time Bokan" qualities. This was definitely an homage to the franchise.
I love these fighting/boss rush crossover games. So few out there. There's the Mega Man one, and Red Earth I think? If anyone has more suggestions, please reply.
Let's not forget Chaos Breaker. probably the only thing that's close to "modern day Red Earth" as you're ever going to get. EDIT: Okay after careful comparison I kind of lied it's less in terms of the Boss part but in More in term of its uniqueness in the modern era😌
Oh sure, she can kick "Brainy" and damage the brain meat, but repeated plasma blasts from a space superiority fighter do nothing? I'M CALLING SHENANIGANS!
Many games of the early 90s were on hardware too powerful for a 16 bit port but too earlier than the 32 bits - and often those were still not powerful enough with 2D. So many were stuck in a limbo.
All hand drawn art. NO *CHEAP* boss moves. It is a pure labor of love. What a beautiful game.
11:12 And for some reason Konami artists had an obsession with the Easter Island heads!🗿
And nipples
Love it, it has soul. You can tell the people behind really loved the work they put behind this game.
I like these kind of unique fighting games that bring something unique to the table. MM's concept is very cool, plus the soundtrack is a banger.
Nowadays wouldn't even be considered re attempted cuz fighting games are only allowed to be mainly mp experiences.
Back when Konami still used to make fun games... how I miss those days.
It's the snake oil salesman of Hideo Kojima part of the Konami downfall.

Love how Konami made a fighting game using mostly Gradius enemies... And gave it the tone of a 70s Tatsunoko superhero anime!
TnA in every thumbnail or your money back!
Keep dropping gems!
Great Video! keep up the good work man :)

Still an amazing game and that opening theme. Perfect!
If you play the Japanese version there's also an emphatic narrator to announce the title cards.
Dude! This should be in another Konami Arcade collection. This games looks sweet!
i like how the dragons dead-ass use godzilla sound samples
Reminds me of when one of the old Rankin-Bass Christmas specials flat-out used Rodan and Mothra noises
Same
Que nostalgia. Más de 25 años sin ver este increíble juego 👌💙
I was craving a bit of Monster Maulers... nice that you could provide it!
Shame that this hasn't gotten a re-release...
wow... never heard of this game, but it looks fun as heck
That 3 kick combo is nice!
This soundtrack is epic!
OMG I love this game so much, I even did one video playing it.
Thank you for uploading It.
13:15 I love this part, the song makes you feel like you are on a Super Sentai or Kamen Raider episode XD.
These are the kind of games that need to be re-released.

Never saw this in the arcades. Would have played the hell out of this.
I know right! I'm gonna have to go check out MAME an see if I have this.

what a cool game..i loved konami back then!!
best thumbnail ever
Eyes popping out at that lol nice thumbnail
If This would have Been released all around the world, this would have been a bigger Hit, it would have been well known

Thanks!
Your Welcome.
The final boss stage has the best final boss stage music of all time!!
What a great Ginyu Force pose during the ending

This right here is why video games were invented.
Konami and Capcom used to make the best Beat-em ups back in the 80s and 90s.
The gameplay is similar to Red Earth, I love it
That thumbnail lol. That monster is really enjoying the view.
the music and energy are off the charts
Man, this game really looks cool.
Never heard of this. It is brilliant.
Nunca tinha escutado falar desse jogo, grata surpresa!
Very good play!!
A golden age of arcade ..........
Couldn't take a Better moment to snap that thumbnail! That pervy brain 😅
I deeply regret never getting to play this when it came out.
Lolz. The final stage has cheesy 70s super robot theme song......I love it
It was even sung by Masato Shimon, a popular singer of the genre right from Mazinger Z.
The thumbnail😂 the eye👀 is getting a great look shot😂😂
I never knew this game existed before...I'm very impressed by Ms. Anne
Dude. This is awesome.
Holy shit! Time Bokan reference to the max!
and the Arcadia from Captan Harlock
An unabashedly Japanese game lol. The music is PERFECT XD
They use the Godzilla (Gojira) roar for the dragon monster. 😅
This is FUCKING insane.
I need to play it, *_now._*
Why I'm here? I was searching anything on RUclips until I see this. I remember I watched Strider another arcade game but that was long ago
No matter if it's Animaniacs, Batman or Contra, Konami used that soundfont for EVERYTHING and I love it.

Lol at re-using boss characters from Gradius/Life Force in a brawler. Brilliant!
This is even better than Fatal Fury.
Early precursor to Red Earth

That thumbnail. An “eye-full”.
So this is basically a Final Fight boss rush.
Jogo muito subestimado na época. Merece um remake!
This game is sick!

Earliest jiggle physics existence detected?
This lady just body slamming everything is so epic 😂
Never heard or seen this game in the 90's
I like how at the end credits they show all the bad guys winning.
There are some obscure criteria to get a good ending. Some times I played I got it, others not.
Both heroes and main villains look like inspired by 80s super heroes and time bokan series
It's like someone at Konami thought "what if we make a game like Final Fight, but it's mostly bosses and you fight weird shit/monsters?"

Red earth was inspired from this i presume w

This game invented Red Earth before Capcom even made the game.
It even had a Centaur before Mortal Kombat.
Oh wow I've never heard of this game.
Wait, so final boss in one of GBA Castlevania games is a reference to a boss from this? Curious.
Wow, That Diablo guy is just a blue Blanka from Street fighter lol

Amazing soundtrack wow!!!

The world is not good enough for a sequel to this wacky game.
