Of course!!! It’s a temperature sensor clamped to the evap coil that in the case of the evaporator freezing and being covered in ice it disables the cooling circuit until the ice is gone and temps rise.

Tbh they’re all crap. I don’t see that carrier is any more troublesome that the Goodmans or Tranes in my world. I touch a ton of carriers cuz that’s what my brands generally use. But don’t have a dog in the who’s better fight. Just sharing my opinion.

I’ll have the entire txv on site but start with swapping power head. That way if it’s a no go we move into surgery
