WOW! Carrie was incredible! She's like the role model of all... she's so God-fearing, dedicated to her work, humble, graduated in college as a magna cum laude,etc... In fact, she's only the celebrity I know of, that don't have any stupid things to do/did in past!
That season I was in love with Vonzell and wanted her to win, but she came in third place. I wasn't a Carrie fan until just recently. This girl is good and definetly was the right winner.

People, people. Its a matter of what kind of music you like best and what type of singing you prefer. All in all, I think Carrie Underwood is a very talented artist, but all of the other winners were as well, regardless of whether they have been more popular or not. They didn't win because they weren't good.
To iamtheluckyone why can't Carrie be someone to look up to people look up to people all the time that they have never met. Look at how many people look up to NFL players,NBA players and so on and so on. Carrie is a very good person and derserves what she as become a music superstar that has kept her small town all american girl charm. She has stayed grounded not let all her success go to her head.

But what kinda confuses me is that she was at college so she was in Checotah anyways but its a great song!!

i think it's cuz historically male artists are characterized by their song-writing abilities, rather than singing. i mean, aside from the old greats like frank sinatra, elvis, and bing crosby, modern male artists write and sing their music. in contrast female artists are largely noted for their vocal abilities, and have historically been given songs to sing by their recording companies. thankfully artists like kelly clarkson and christina aguilera have begun to break that mold in pop music.
