🏊‍♂️ The hotel I stayed at on this trip was excellent. It's located in New Town, but there are just a few minutes' walk over the Royal Mile.
There's an indoor swimming pool and a spa area, and I've got to say that the staff at the hotel are probably some of the friendliest I've come across in a long time 🙌

I love Edinburgh. I visited 3 times and stayed at the Code pod the court hostel behind St Giles cathedral in old town, a great hostel. Greetings from Montréal.

Will 100 percent have to visit Stockbridge. Went on too much of a whistle stop tour of the City in 2022.
Going back in the Summer to correct that mistake!

@@destinationwellknown Actually I m getting my work visa from Edinburgh. I ll have to travel near Christmas so need to take a room and don't know how costly Edinburgh is? So that's why asking u the single room rent

@@user-ws8il8yf6b Oh, I see. I'm afraid I'm not knowledgeable enough to give advice on getting long-term apartments/rooms in Edinburgh. I lived there before you-know-what in 2020 and it seems the prices have risen quite a lot - as it has all over the world, unfortuntately.

If staying in Stockbridge, Leith, or New Town, how long of a walk is it to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile?

That would depend greatly on where in these areas you're staying. It could be as little as 5 minutes from New Town, 15-20 from Stockbridge and Leith would depend even more on whereabouts you'd be staying tbh.
