I always wondered why people bought bottles of water until the first time I left Scotland. In Florida the water we got with our meal stank like ditch water even thought it looked clear.

    • @TheJpf79
      @TheJpf79 Год назад

      Not sure if you got accommodation. Just wanted to say that renting in Edinburgh is far more expensive that somewhere like where I live in Falkirk, obviously you want to be in and around the city etc, its just that Falkirk is only a 30 minute train ride away from Edinburgh less if you're renting a car. People can save themselves a fortune by getting a hotel outside the city, Falkirk/Stirling places like that are right in the middle of the country. You get the best of everything, you get your busy city life and sites to see plus a more peaceful night/morning that isn't all rushed and busy, just thought it might be something to look at.

    • @TheJpf79
      @TheJpf79 10 месяцев назад

      @@a.humphries8678 Can get really high depending on time of year, The fringe festival is on all August so prices go up, can be £80 a night for student accomodation, £10 return by train from Falkirk to Edinburgh or £5 in petrol (if that) and half that price for accomodation and you're saving a lot but getting the same service.

      Hey,
      The weather has been pretty rubbish in Scotland this summer. If you feel the cold quite easily, you might want to bring some slightly warmer clothes like a jumper or a hoodie. It has also been a bit rainy; pack a waterproof jacket just in case. I've had a wee look at the forecast, and for the 13/14th Aug it's saying 18 to 19 degrees celsius which is actually quite good for here.
      As was mentioned in the video, our weather is quite unpredictable - one minute it can be sunny and the next minute it's raining.
      Hope you have a lovely trip :)

    • @OneJourneyAway
      @OneJourneyAway  Год назад

      The only way to buy tickets for multiple people by card on the bus is to buy paper tickets with contactless. So when you get on the bus, you would tell the driver that you need, for example, 2 adult single and 2 child single tickets, and when the driver tells you to, tap your card. Make sure not to just tap your card on the contactless pad without talking to the driver because that would only be for a single adult ticket! Hope this helps!
