SG100 printer is a product of the SawGrass company. The brand only produces the printer in a single white colour. The printer has a black control panel which adds to its beauty; however, you have to be cautious to ensure that your white printer does not get stains.
The sluggish printing speed is the most annoying issue you may have to deal with. It is challenging to cover all the important components of the designs at this slow pace. Additionally, the material needs to be adequately sublimated because of the lagging problem.
However, sublimation printers like the SG1000 don’t have to deal with any stress. Thanks to its quick printing speed, you may cover the whole material with the design you want to print. The SawGrass company have not rated the printer’s speed, so I had to test it on my station.
I printed a colourful image on an 11 by 17-inch sublimation paper as I timed the duration the printer took to complete the task. However, it is important to note that sublimation printers cannot compete with inkjet printers because, for a sublimation printer, you will mainly print one paper at a time and use it on sublimation blanks before printing another.

Saw Grass has a 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution, ensuring that your print product is of outstanding quality. It is also suited to producing quality in multiple products like fabric, mugs, trays, etc.
Another advantage is that the printer comes with SawGrass print manager, which allows you to manage your print colour to ensure optimal colour output. I printed a colour image from the printer using the SawGrass Print Manager. The colours were vibrant and could not be differentiated from the design on my PC.
These SG1000 sublimation printers provide ink for four different colours. However, black ink stands out from the others because of its long-lasting imprint on paper and other surfaces. The quality and outcome have exceeded my expectations. As a result, I could always come up with the most eye-catching designs.
I also noticed that the printer has better print quality output than the SG500. The printer produces perfect HD designs. So if you have to choose, SG1000 may be a better choice regarding the output quality.
The Sawgrass SG1000 is a somewhat pricey sublimation printer compared to other models available. However, a printer’s price is a portion of all general costs. Before buying a printer, you should consider the operating cost since it requires ongoing expenses. The operational costs of the Sawgrass SG1000 printer are low.
However, the company claims that the printer has a voice-activation feature, but I never got that option on my printer. It will be an excellent addition to their connectivity options if it is present.
The SawGrass SG1000 printer is a suitable sublimation printer that will ensure that you achieve great product designs. The printer allows you to quickly print on large format sublimation papers and still produce outstanding colour quality.
It is well designed to fit your desk workspace, thus saving you space. Therefore, even if the printer is expensive, it is worth it because it makes your printing work easier.
